This place is the SLOWEST Starbucks ever. I'm a local and it's the same speed every single time I come here!

It was bad of me not to check the yelp reviews first but how could one think it would be this bad. It wasn't busy at all and I just wanted my hot chai :( Right off the bat you notice it was super hot in the place, I mean usually starbucks are nice and cool and even with the few people in front of me in line I had to change my mind on ordering it since it was way to hot to enjoy it I was getting misty it was so hot in there! So I opted for and iced tea but should have left. I saw the baristas busy as could be back there but all the drinks were going out the drive thru. So even though I was waiting where they could see me I stepped closer and got their attention. The baristas didn't even have a cup for me the cashier asked again what I ordered and said he guesses he didn't put my order in. Really? No sorry or anything he just butted in and asked a barista to make me one fast. I totally agree with all the reviews here SLOWEST STARBUCKS EVER! The lady in front of me ordered a grande iced vanilla latte and they made a tall hot one and she told him it was supposed to be a grande iced one, he finished a few other drinks and he then made hers and he made another hot one in grande size. By this time she had waited so long she just took it and left shaking her head. This definitely warrants a call to starbucks for some compensation and perhaps to get those employees better trained and up to par! read more

I am a truck driver I wanted Starbucks but I can't go through the drive-thru, so I walked up to the window trying to order a Starbucks, I asked the girl there if I could order and she said she couldn't help me because I wasn't in a car, and I let her know that I couldn't get in the drive-thru with my big truck and she stayed quiet, but kept insisting I had to be in a car to take my order, Making a drink doesn't take half an hour she could have just taken my order and moved on mostly since their lobby is closed they cannot expect truck drivers to pull a small car out of nowhere it'd be nice if they were like other drive-thru places that don't mind helping people who don't have small cars, they're willing to help people who walk through the drive-thru. read more

I have placed about 6 mobile orders here and they are never ready. You have to ask for it then they go look and start your order. Defeats the whole point. read more

Boy have things gone downhill at this Starbucks! I have been going here for years but had not been there in a while. They have a whole new staff and geez are they grouchy!!! To top it off, first they made the wrong drink for me. Then they warmed the wrong panini. I had them remake the drink but had already left when I took my first bite of the panini. Disappointing. Update: They just can't get it right. I repeated my order three times and they still got it wrong. When the cost was more than I expected, I asked for a receipt. Sure enough, they charged me for the wrong drink. I had already paid but pointed it out to them. They made no offer to refund my difference. I didn't want to cause a scene as the place was full of cops, but I don't like being ripped off. You really have to watch them at this location. There is a Starbucks inside of Vons that actually charges less. I really need to give them the business as this one has issues over and over. read more

Wow. I honestly had to pull over to the side of the road and write this review right now. We're currently in the middle of an 8 hour drive after a full day of work, so needless to say we're exhausted. We were going to miss this Starbucks closing by 6 minutes so I called them as they were closing, explained the situation, and asked if they could please stay open for us. They asked what we were ordering over the phone and when we arrived, the drinks were sitting on the drive thru window. When we knocked and inquired about paying, they told us they were on the house and to have a safe drive. Cannot say enough about their hospitality. They made out night. read more

SLOWEST SERVICE EVER. I went in to get an iced coffee, pretty damn simple to whip up. There was only one person in front of me and 2 people waiting for the drinks they already ordered. 3 employee were working (plenty to satisfy the demands at hand, or so I thought) 30 minutes to get a stupid ice coffee is ridiculous. The barista was soooooo slow. It's like "dude, it's coffee, you're not working on wiring an atomic bomb"... For the love of God! Shan't be going there ever again!!! read more

I have gone to this Starbucks several times, with my brother, and we are always disappointed with the noise level. On May 29 we went again and one of our gang asked that the music be turned down so that we could actually talk without shouting and they did that.....but....within 5 minutes the music was turned way backup enough that we could not hear each other. Yes, we are all old...way over 70....and that is a problem but not an excuse to turn up the music so loud that all four of us left immediately. I and my brother prefer the Loony Bean anyway so I guess that is where we will be going from now on. The coffee at the Loony Bean is actually better than any Starbucks anyway so Bye Bye Starbucks in Bishop at Main and Sierra. read more

The owner failed on this holiday ! Understaffed wait time for a coffee is 30 minutes- wake up owner! Customer service should be your #1 priority- not the dollar- spend a few more dollars and hire a proper staff to service your customers! read more

I've read several other reviews about the same issue I just had; other people getting their drinks before me, even though I was ahead of them in line. Also, the wait when you walk in, as opposed to the drive through, is a ridiculously long wait. I get they have to keep the outside line moving, but if you walk in the wait is more than an inconvenience. There are never many people working, either. I don't know if the management/owner is trying to cut costs, but they'd be smart to keep a full staff and train them about the importance of keeping drink orders in the right order so they will not lose customers (especially locals) to one of the other coffee shops in the area. read more

I always stop here on my way to Mammoth. I usually arrive around 5-6am, and the morning staff is always friendly and helpful. Its always a nice way to keep your day bright when you're greeting by such warm company. I love this location and will continue to stop by here every time! read more

Worse coffee... Hubby and I were headed for a long trip. Been visiting Bishop to celebrate granddaughter's birthday. .. figured we would get coffee for the road. Ordered Mocha's. Maybe they didn't see the M... meaning mocha. Will unfortunately we didn't try our coffee until we were a couple miles down the road. M stands for mocha therefore there should have been some chocolate in the drink. What we had was very bitter coffee. Words of advice. .. try your drink prior to leaving the store. read more

First time ever waiting in line inside store to order coffee for over 15m with 4 staff behind counter on a Monday morning! First time stopping here! Staff was not welcoming & lacked communication with the 3 other ppl waiting in line! It's sad to say I got in my car went through drive through and got my coffee with in 5 minutes bc I needed my coffee fix for my 7 hr drive! Stopped here on the way to Mammoth. It was clean and everything was typical for a Starbucks. The only thing that wasnt great was the speed of service. My pal was in the front of the line when I went to the ladies room. I came back out and he was still there. Our order was simple: 2 drip coffees. He handed me his card and then he used the mens room. As he came back out the barista finally brought out our coffees. Not sure if they were harvesting the beans back there or what, but that was a long time for 2 basic coffees... read more

We stop here every time we pass through Bishop. This location is usually very but they always have done a good job. They have always made our regular drinks good and have been pretty fast for how many people are always there. read more

I would give them a zero if that was possible- the sign out front said the drive thru was open from 7-5- the first day I went at 1 pm and they said no one had made any tea that day for the tea drinks- so I passed- the second day I went back at 1:30pm and even though the sign out front said they were open the sign on the drive through window said they were already closed- at 1:30?! Two days , two tries- why doesn't the sign out front match the sign out back at the window- all the other Starbucks in the area- at Von's in Bishop and Mammoth and the drive through in Mammoth are all open and while operating in limited hours they are still providing great service and communicating clearly when they are open- read more

SLOWEST STARBUCKS EVER. The line went all the way back to the bathrooms, yet there was NO appreciable increase in their speed; five Baristas behind the counter, and it still took ten minutes to just place our order. Overheard in the line: "Wow, I thought it would be faster to come inside because there was six cars in line..." A low-key alternative to Looney Bean if you need somewhere to hang out for a bit. Plenty of seating and outlets along the walls for your laptops, etc. I'm not a big fan of Starbucks coffee, so I got a soy chai with a GC from work. AT&T wifi was $4 for 2 hours, way cheaper than Schat.net. read more

Worst Starbucks experience ever. The zombie at the register couldn't make change. The bathroom door was locked open and no one was in a hurry to fix it. The barista was friendly but I through my drink out because it tasted awful. The one guy seemed to be doing all the work with a smile including making change for the zombie! Urrgh! read more

It's your normal Starbucks I was traveling and coffeed out so I just got a trenta water and used the Internet. The nice thing is they done mind the place was clean and so were the restrooms. If I could give this Starbucks zero stars I would!!!! I waited 20 mins for an iced espresso with cream. The place was pretty much empty with one other guy waiting for his drinks. Not busy at all. There was 5 girls working all seem to only care about the drive thru! Oh and my drink was horrible... had so much cream my coffee was white!!! Where is the manager??!! This place needs to be run way better. I am from out of town and where I live the Starbucks are super busy and less people working and I don't have to wait 20 mins for my simple coffee!! read more

We came an hour before they closed and they didn't even acknowledge us!!!! We called no answer, we talked through the drive though and no response. When we pulled up to the window they didn't even look at us. Totally not acceptable. Especially since it's a drive thru and we came from 4 hours away!! OMG Just waited in line for more than 20 minutes .... not until we got to the actual register to place our order did a list of 25 key drinks & items "they were out-of" appear - lying flat on the order counter written on a yellow lined paper ..... this place just STOLE almist a half hour of our life! Why would Starbucks not post this info on the entrance door ??? It would keep the wait shorter and show respect to their 'valued customers' !!! Wonderful service this morning at the drive thru. My Iced Macchiato with sugar substitute (as suggested by the helpful barista) was perfect.

We want to get a good cup of coffee, and when we saw the Starbucks sigh our mind was made up.... it was about 12 noon, my wife went in and I stayed in the car to watch the dog. About 10 minutes later she came back a said " they didn't have change for a $50.00. And if we wanted coffee they could only take a ATM card.... We didn't know of another coffee shop in bishop, so my wife went back in...I wanted a grande Hot mocha and she wanted grande latte.... 15 minutes later she cames back flustered with a small regular coffee and a cold hot latte.... we left with what we had because she didn't want to go through another 10 minutes like the last....next time we'll just go through Mc Donalds. .... read more

Great little Starbucks with drive thru! Clean bathrooms . Outside seating. Snacks and treats. Easy on and off the 395. Made us sit 10 min for our 3rd drink that was sitting right on the counter. ! read more

Great Service, friendly barista, even convinced my husband to try to the food. He was surprised at size and taste.

Simple. Owners, stay open later and figure out how to close your drive thru. Your drive thru is busy at 5pm. Your online hours say 7pm, but you actually close at 5pm. Even when you get in the drive thru line at or just before 5pm, if you don't order by 5pm, your employees will argue about when you got in line and refuse to serve. Thank goodness the Vons down the road has a Starbucks, it's open after 5pm, and they whip up some tasty lattes, no hassle. read more

The worst Starbucks I have ever been to. They got my coffee wrong 3 times in 3 days. Above all, very rude. The lack of customer service is definitely consistent in this place. I go to Starbucks in Ventura area often, they are always busy, yet I always get my order within 10 mins, and they get it right, despite the busy store and packed drive thru. The Bishop Starbucks crew do not even want to make more complicated drinks! read more
