So disappointed with this Starbucks. Bishop is definitely a nice little town that gets lots of visitors who enjoy the outdoors and those traveling on the 395. Starbucks is a go to place for coffee and bathroom stop. This place was extremely dirty both in the dining area and the restrooms. Neither looked like they had been cleaned in a long time. My thought is If the bathrooms and dining area are dirty, the kitchen is probably not much better. We will try a different coffee stop next time as we go through town a few times a month. read more

Really great service! During my last visit a barista accidentally messed up my order but was so kind and helpful about it while also fixing it immediately. Couldn't ask for better customer service. This Starbucks is the worst. First off ANY local coffee shop in town is worlds better (hello! Looney bean?!?). But this location is a disaster. The drive thru is never open, ever. They can't keep it staffed so during slow seasons it's randomly closed. When the town is busy the place is a shxt show. The staff are so over it. (I don't necessarily blame them). But never friendly. And it can take 30 minutes at times for your order. Idk how this place functions - but not well. read more

I should have read the reviews before I went in!! My husband, a friend and I were waiting for the Schaat's Roadhouse to open for lunch and I decided I'd like a coffee in the meantime.....I ordered a large iced coffee, paid for it (and tipped) before I was told "it might be a while". (I figured perhaps 15 minutes). I sat down while numerous others filed through the door placing their orders. My husband and his friend went to the tackle store, then joined me in the wait for an additional 15 minutes. I told them to go across the street and get a table for lunch (how much longer could it be?). After 10 more minutes my husband called to say they were seated and my lunch had been served already. I rarely will go through the drive through at this location and feel like they are ALWAYS out of something from cups to drink materials. Today Caitlyn (caity) helped me today as they were practically out of everything... she was very sweet patient and kind explaining what she COULD do rather couldn't do. Very refreshing. My drink was made by andrea and was delicious much needed on a sleepless night/week with traveling with a toddler... thanks Starbucks team. Recommend having more product ordered during holiday travel seasons as this is not the first time this season (use to work this location back in 2011 and we rarely ran into these issues this location now seems to fall to this constant supply issue) I do want to give props the area was well kept and the bathrooms were decent. read more

I saw so many terrible reviews about this Starbucks and wanted to leave one. I didn't have an inherently bad experience here. I'm also a person of color and wouldn't be able to hide my Latino features if I wanted to. I walked in use the bathroom first and then ordered an iced coffee, wasn't given any trouble. Apart from the fact that they ran out of hazelnut and the cashier calling me sir (I'm only 23) everything was fine. The drink came out within 2-3 minutes of my order, tasted like Starbucks. In the era of Covid, and I really don't need to tell you this, everything is different. The problem for my wife and I is that when we head south on Hwy 395 this Starbucks is always a part of our plan. We leave early, need coffee in Bishop, stop and recover, but it's different right now. The good. It was the first time I had the egg bites, and they were heated nicely and served in an oatmeal bowl. We also had oatmeal, but they had no fresh blueberries. I am so high maintenance, and so we opted for the traditional. This is the bad part. They were out of bold brew, and it's always my go to flavor....I suffered through with the regular brew, but it was, again, not the same. DON'T PATRONIZE this location or any Starbucks as far as I'm concerned, because they've decided to allow their employees to revert back to their discriminatory customer service ways. We experienced what to believe to be RACISM at this location. It was 7pm, on a Tuesday, and we stopped at this Starbucks to make a purchase and to use the restroom. My daughter's friend, who is a brown complexion, Asian Indian, had to use the restroom really bad, so she went inside ahead of us. Immediately when she entered a male employee said to her that the restrooms were closed, not even knowing that's where she was going. Their friend, she's caucasian/white, walked in right behind her to purchase the drinks, and the male employee said nothing to her about the restrooms being closed. And I (I'm African American) walked in behind the friend who is caucasian, and the same male employee said to me that the restrooms were closed, and I wasn't even going near the restrooms. Although, I also had to use the restroom, just not as bad as their friend. Then he asked if I wanted to purchase anything. I then replied, no, and pointed to my daughter's white friend that purchased our drinks and was waiting to retrieve them. Then a female employee (who was standing right next to the male employee when he told me the restrooms were closed) felt the need to also tell me that the restrooms were closed and add that the floors were wet with bleach. Now, I saw another female employee moping the Women's restroom floor, but moping a floor shouldn't shut down your restroom's an hour before you close. So I informed them that I would wait until the floors dried, because I'm 59 years of age, I lived 10 years in the south and I experienced and know what racism is and looks like. Unfortunately, my daughter's Asian Indian friend couldn't wait until the floors dried and went across the street to another establishment to use the restroom, but I felt a need to NOT let racism win. So I waited until I felt it was safe for me to cautiously walk across the damp/wet floor and I used the restroom. Then my daughter's white friend went back in the store, this time to use the restroom, and once again NOT ONE EMPLOYEE SAID to her THE RESTROOMS ARE CLOSED! The drinks are usually ready within 10 minutes time and safely stashed behind the counter to prevent coffee theft. The employees have been a mixed bag, some friendly, some grumpy. I ordered my drink on a Friday early morning at 5am and although it took a while to get my drink (10 mins bc they only had 1 person doing drive thru and making drinks) they made it for me the right way, 3 days later I came back ordered the same exact drink and they said they would not make it for me the way I ordered it 3 days prior. I have worked for Starbucks for 17 yrs and know for a fact they are able to use the modification buttons on our register screens to make the drink I ordered so I was very unhappy and disappointed that I was treated this way. Since I was limited on time I had to leave without getting my drink. This management can do better. read more

Service was very poor. I understand if things are delayed from a busy rush, no problem I'm a patient person. I waited at the counter for service for 5 minutes before someone acknowledge me, all while an employee was fiddling with the cups directly behind me. Then only got a black coffee, waited five minutes after ordering before asking how long it would be only to then be told, "oh we have to brew some". I was so glad this Starbucks was opened at 6 am in the morning in the town of Bishop, California, because I really needed a Cafe au Lait in my belly and its caffeine running through my veins. The girls were sweet even for being so early in the morning and their service was quick. The Cafe au Lait they made me was a Venti and it was very good. The had them use the dark roast and 2% milk. It was definitely robust and rich and it certainly let you know it was a dark roast in a good way. It was just what I needed and the hot steamed milk helped smooth it out.
