I am adding yet another review here because usually they're pretty good but as I am sitting here in the cafe I have been waiting for my order for 20 minutes and I am the only one here. All they're doing is chatting with each other on their headsets and completely ignoring me. I am seeing them clean up and do end of day things and it's like I never put my order in. On top of that someone came in after me and got their order lickity split. The music is once again way too loud for what should be allowed in a small cafe setting and the pink drink I usually get is never the same taste every time. As the second-closest Starbucks to my house this location is a go-to when I'm heading south for warmer (?) climes in Seattle and beyond. It's a quick trip off (and back on) the freeway and they have a drive-through window that puts the F in FAST. As long as the guy ahead of you isn't ordering 26 PSL's, you've got a pretty good chance of getting in and out of here faster than it would have taken you to put a pod in your Keurig back at home. The staff here is friendly, too, despite the fact they seem to literally ALWAYS be busy. Between the college students, the high school kids, and the shoppers rushing home with their treasures there's always a lively crowd at this spot. And if you have time to stay awhile, they have plenty of seating and a center island with tons of outlets - perfect for plugging in your laptop and getting some major work done. I also recently heard a rumor (right here on Yelp!) they're doing wine/beer tastings on Thursdays so...it goes without saying...I'll be baaaaack. read more

Service is usually quite good and the staff is friendly. At times there are clearly street people in here getting out of the rain and cold for which i dont blame them. Today however there was a clearly mentally ill man muttering to himself and making odd gestures at times. It did not make our experience particularly pleasant. Again though service and staff is very good. Just be aware of your neighbors here. read more

This place is perfectly located for the high school and university community. Service is lickity split quick 90% of the time, and always friendly- drive through to sit in. Consistent coffee, and great personalization options. Interior is very modern industrial now, and has lost some of the cozy touches that I first fell in love with, but it's still the fastest drive through in town. They now serve WINE AND BEER after 4pm! And don't forget your free coffee refill if you have a gold card. Wasn't in love with the listening today- if I was picky I'd have had my drink remade three times- a double tall soy PSL- first it was regular milk, second it was a single and had whipped cream...if someone says allergic to dairy...think hard. Anyway, I had to use my lid as a spoon and lost half my drink to the whipped cream removal. Super not in love with that for $5.36. The front baristas were very friendly and didn't rush me- it was the lass on the espresso machine...dang it. I'll totally be back, as I have been since 2007. I believe this location is going through some renovations, which is why I'm giving it a 4 start rating. The inside isn't all the nice, and there are no signs indicating any kind of renovations. The bathrooms are also getting renovated and there was no mirror in the bathroom. I didn't like this because everyone wants to look at themselves in the mirror when they wash their hands, right? or is that just me? lol The one thing I did like was the PRICESSS! Oh man, usually a Venti Blackberry Mojito Tea Lemonade is over $5! It was around $3.50 here! I might just get yup and buy another one! read more

One of my favourite coffee shops in town because year round it's open till 10:30 which is later then just about everywhere I town. The staff are always fast and increadibly nice. The place is nice looking, perfect location for coffee before heading to Seattle. Overall a really nice place though due to the popularity it can get dirty at times though I blame the customers with all their crumbs. The only other issue is the internet sometimes isn't super quick but again due to the popularity it's understandable. Bottom line, great staff, starbucks coffee (make your own judgements) and open late so great for work or studying. read more

I prefer going into the store versus the drive through. The service is quicker and I don´t waste gas waiting in line. The staff are quite awake in the early morning and provide personalized service. My food order was wrong one morning, but they fixed the situation in minutes. Dark roast is my drink of choice. Lattès and blended drinks dilute my coffee experience, so I appreciate the fresh dark roast each time. Good store with a solid team. read more

Do you like speedy service with a smile performed accurately as you want it? If so don't go here. Its one of only two drive through Starbucks in Bellingham and is quite possibly the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. My order was generally wrong whether I was inside or going through the drive through and they will very displeasedly fix your coffee but you'll get that with a side of guilt for wasting their precious time. The baristas here suck. I've been to tons of Starbucks and when I order my 16 oz nonfat chai with an extra pump of chai they always taste the same.... not here. They must pump differently or something cause my chais end up overly sweet and rather putrid. Oh yeah and they don't stir it or anything so its just hot milk on top of hot chai so first few sips are bland and by the time I hit the bottom of the cup I feel like I'm drinking pure concentrated chai mix. I have called and complained to their customer help line and I've gotten a free drink out of it but it wasn't worth the hassle. I will never go back to this Starbucks again. read more

Great quick and friendly service. I like the new nutritious food selections they have on their menu. A bit pricey but VERY good....and so quick and easy. I like this location. I enjoy starting off my day, after sleepless nights due to orthodox college life, by hearing Richards buoyant voice asking me how my day is going. It warms my heart like Washington weather in the summer. When I pull up to the window and I see his bright smile, with Taylor's calming but vibrant presences in the background, I know that my day will be exceedingly improved because of their commitment to customer service and to coffee. I used to think coffee was the only phenomenon that could cure the arduous days brought on by college, but now I know that it's also the welcoming feeling these baristas at this Starbucks bring. Went in on Monday and couldn't get service to save my life. The barista at the counter was so consumed in a conversation with a friend she never even greeted us. We waited patiently for about 8 minutes as the only people in line as she discussed her life and kids with this friend. When there was finally a pause in the conversation we thought for sure she was about to apologize for the wait and take our order when instead she without so much as glancing our way says "so how are your kids..." That was it for us we walked out. It's not like I was super enthused about starbucks coffee we go for quick polite service and consistent drinks, This starbucks had none of the above. read more

Wow what a disappointment. I drink drip coffee and had to stop here, I unfortunately lost a bet with a friend of mine. I never stop at Starbucks for drip coffee it's the worst in the nation. I thought I would try their mild roast what a mistake it was garbage. I've had better coffee at a.m. p.m. I know there's a college nearby but seriously it's like they set up camp and there's no place to sit. Every time I cross the border the guy I am dating and I always come to this location if not at another coffee shop. I buy US SB gift cards and this place never has issues with me using it. Customer service is friendly. Some of their pastries are a little different than what is in Vancouver which keeps things interesting for me on the food front. read more

My experience at this Starbucks was very positive. The barista who did my drink made it well and was careful to make sure she got my order right. I love how much seating they have, and those big, huge fluffy chairs are excellent to sink into with a good book. I felt like the atmosphere was relaxing and quiet. I will be back. read more

Not really any different than any other Starbucks, but the cool college crowd here and the friendly staff are great. The huge study table in the middle is great for getting work done or just people watching. This is a popular stop on the way to BC though so the drive through is often very long. read more

I hadn't been to this Starbucks since the renovations I just went there today and I'm never going back. The Starbucks went from student friendly to completely not student friendly. It used to be a great place to study but now there is hardly an outlet in sight and now seating area except for a few very small tables that are in the middle of the room. Worst study area! I regularly stop by this location on my way to work in the morning. I'd say that 50% of the time something is wrong with my order. On a couple of occasions I got a plain bagel after ordering a chonga bagel. I get low fat cream cheese without being told they're out of regular (trust me the texture is different). Sometimes I get no cream cheese. They forget to put vanilla in my London fog. My slow roasted ham and Swiss has no ham in it (probably not a direct fault of the baristas to be fair). I know they're super busy, especially in the mornings, but they shouldn't be getting wrong orders so frequently. It's really disappointing to open up my paper bag in the morning and find a plain bagel in there instead of the one I ordered or to have to eat a bagel without cream cheese or deal with anything like that in general on a regular basis. The baristas are always really friendly in the morning but I'm going with three stars for the regular disappointment of not getting what I ordered/paid for. read more

I go here almost every day before I start my serving shift at the restaurant I work at. I order a grande americano with soy (sometimes with an extra shot if I REALLY need a pick-me-up) and they always get it perfect! There is one barista... or is it barist-o? that I absolutely love in the drive-thru window! I believe his name is Dan but seriously, he never fails to put a smile on my face and make my work shift pass by quicker. Love that guy!
