Worst service ever. Have been to many a Starbucks including the original in Seattle which is nothing more than a large walkin closet. Mind you, that location turns over hundreds of people within an hour. While this location here in the Arboretum can't serve 10 drinks in the span of 20 minutes. The one good thing about this location is the outdoor space. But whoever the manager is here definitely needs to be fired or retrained. Avoid unless you have time to kill. read more

I think this Starbucks is my favorite location in Austin. The interior is cozy, and the people that frequent this Starbucks location are friendly and gregarious. The first time I went here to try Starbuck's infamous Witches Brew Drink, I had two strangers come up to amicably talk. The seating is comfortable, and there's plenty of seating to go around. If you're a smoker, then outdoor seating is available. At nights, the table outside the entrance commonly has middle-aged men gambling or playing some sort of card game. Like every Starbucks, the ambiance is relaxed. The drinks may be a bit slow, but it's made up for because the workers are so friendly. As for the Witches Brew, it was pretty decent. Reminded me of my childhood eating Lucky Charms cereal doused with milk. Once the cereal was all gobbled up, then the Lucky Charm tainted milk was the best saved for the last. That's what the Witches Brew tasted like. It even had chia seeds to add some texture to the drink. read more

It's my favorite and closest Starbucks in proximity! I could always go to the Randalls, Target or Barnes and Noble starbucks but this one always takes the cake. Unfortunately, so does everyone else and it's quite booming on any mornings or weekends. Outside lounge chairs and patio tables with umbrella shades are great, as well as comfy chairs inside with bar stools facing the window for great people watching is fun! Caught in the rain on my food run to Trader Joes and ducked in here for a lunch with a TJ's salad. No judgement! Except from the fun Starbucks guy that works here in the mornings, he's great! He remembers my husband's order to a T, also probably helps that we used to walk here at 6am everyday as our morning routine in getting in our mad caffeine fix. Well I should say we SHOULD have gotten out quicker but the person in front of us was confused. They acted like they had never been to a Starbucks before but that is no fault to Starbucks. There's only so much you can say about a coffee place. But this Starbucks may be a favorite (even if they aren't quite doing dine-in yet). The drinks are good. The staff moves quickly and is super friendly. And if they have the ingredients to make something that's no longer on the menu, they will -- just like they did for me this week by fixing me my black iced tea/lemonade combo that they unfortunately removed from the menu. And their lemon loaf is one of my favorite baked goods out -- I only wish I remembered it more often. read more

Ok, it is Starbucks, so there is already some known facts. My experience at this location is below the gold standard. First, the latte, was good but not as good as some of the other coffee spots here in the ATX. The steamed milk helped to compensate for the burnt espresso beans. They had a wonderful selection of sandwiches to select from to take care of that lunchtime hunger, but wait, even though they have the sandwich displayed in the uppercase does not mean they actually have it. I was told that they put all of the offerings in the uppercase, just like what is on the menu board. However, the only sandwiches that they actually have to purchase are located on the lower case. So, my choices were drastically different, and what was strange was that the 3-4 choices I had in the lower case were not in the uppercase at all. I asked the clerk for clarity and she seemed surprised that I was not smart enough to figure their system out. I guess the lunch sandwiches are different than the breakfast ones, because the breakfast sandwiches they pull from the refrigerator and heat up, just like I thought my desired Panini sandwich would have been, but not in this case. read more

This Starbucks is extremely relaxed and happens to be one of the only ones in Austin that host the night menu. The night menu is an array of snack foods, wine, and beer. The wine pricing is $6-10 per glass and I've tried three of the reds and I can't say any of them are bad! Each glass comes with a little tray of nuts (but they always run out by 8pm). I recommend the cheapest one actually - it's a red blend called manage midnight. It's also their suggested wine according to their black board! This glass is only $6. The staff is friendly and always accommodating. Sometimes I don't hear my name when they call me and they don't mind coming up to me and bringing it to my table when I'm studying. It closes around 10 but the staff never kicks anyone out. They have a beautiful outside patio and play mostly jazz music so it really is perfect for a relaxed night. read more

It occurs to me the only thing more redundant than me writing another Starbucks review is you reading it, so we'll just finish our SB journey with this one. And we'll call it, "Saving the Best for Last." Because this is my favorite Starbucks, my home base, the one I frequent the most. There are seven other Starbucks closer to my usual routes - three of them with Clover machines & drive-thrus - but who knows why we really like the things we do? In the end, it's all good. (Okay, I'm not totally impractical: My HEB & dry cleaner are up the street, and the Arboretum Trader Joe's is next door. Actually, it's an Ann Taylor next door, but I don't go there.) So what we have here is a Starbucks that's big inside, with faux leather chairs, a bunch of tables & counter space, and a staff that's seriously pleased you're there. Props to James in the daytime, and Scott at night. It's also the best SB patio in town, with the usual outside tables, and a dozen oversized lounge chairs under the shady tree as well. The crowd here is older, I see a lot of meet-up groups, and it's as tranquil or as laptop-intense as you want it to be. But when this place packs up - which is frequent - you kind of wish these people would disdain Starbucks and patronize the latest & greatest coffeehouse, with crappy parking & hipster attitude. Gosh darn it, people are so oblivious these days. And not very good Yelpers. read more

On Sept. 1, 2022 around 11:30am, I experienced absolutely horrible service from beginning to end! The Starbucks team members projected negative energy, distracted (with headphones in ears which is unprofessional), and focused more on other things rather than the customers. They might be having a bad day, but remember to ask for help if you need it, respectfully speaking. Hopefully management will have a training course in customer service/relations for the employees. read more
