However, I usually have to wait atleast 10 minutes for my drink. I order the Mulberry Green BlasTea this time and it was refreshing and not super sweet. The menu here is overwhelming, and some of the drinks seem redundant. For example, they have a Red Panda series of drinks, and I am not sure how those are different from their regular ones. I settled on the oolong cream tea, or BlasTea, which was also a little confusing because milk isn't in the name. It was really good and sweet, which I like. I asked for 50% sugar, but I feel like they gave me the full sugar. My friend got the black milk tea, which I think is called the cream black BlasTea. She got it with 25% sugar, and she said the taste was really off. It was more bitter than she expected, and that is her consistent boba order at different shops. I tried it and agree that it was not a pleasant taste. I wasn't able to try their regular tapioca because they don't start serving it until 11am, so I had their baby tapioca. I liked how it was sweet. Sometimes baby boba has a weird taste, but this one was good. My drink was $6.65 with the baby boba. They have two sizes, which are basically large (the normal tall size) and massive (like truly monstrous for a boba size). There is only one table for studying/working as the other seats have really short tables. They should really switch out those short tables for normal ones to improve their seating. I like the feeling of sitting on the second floor, but it would have been over for us if the one table were taken as we came here to study. They don't have a restroom, but there is a public one for the shopping center right next door. I don't get why this franchise is so popular here in Austin. It is consistently so mediocre and not good. It's also expensive for what it is. I've been to this location twice now and the first time I got a mango smoothie which was not bad. This time I got thai tea with boba and a fresh fruit tea with boba. The boba this time was actually not terrible! The thai tea was the worst thai tea I've ever had. So obviously a powder that you can see the powder in the cup. I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh fruit tea. It had hella fruit and some of the fruit was pretty solid! The kiwi was sour af and I love kiwi. The grapes would be better if there wasn't seeds. The boba was good! And the drink was not bad. You can't adjust the sweetness level on a good amount of drinks which tells me most are premade. Upstairs there's a couple of places to sit but not the best for studying since there are minimal outlets. The table to chair height is a little off so it's not great for long term studying. There was also a mosquito (I know they can't control that) that was terrorizing us and having a feast. Also did not see a bathroom. It has huge portion options (yes I love drinking my calories). The shop is small and friendly, but not super crowded. I am completely addicted to their coconut cream blast with extra Boba easy ice. This review will be short and sweet (literally)! I came in a few weeks back with Thing Two for some boba (I mean what else does one get here). I was pleasantly surprised to see that Teapioca Lounge now offers Magonadas! I guess I am really the last one to know. This is a slushie blended with mango, lemon, and Tajin seasoning and served with chamoy and a tamarind candy stick. This beverage was fresh, sweet, and just divine. Once Thing Two and I purchased our beverages, we ventured outside to play chess on the large chess set just outside the establishment. This location while tucked away is positioned at a prime spot as it sits in a shopping center where consumers are spending on non-essential items and as such it garners business from weary shoppers looking for a sweet treat or just a break from it all. read more

Went to support Teapioca Arboretum for their Grand Reopening after what we've been through a few weeks ago at the Arboretum. They offer a great variety of fresh tea with added flavors, milk tea (cream blastea), smoothie, matcha series, fresh fruit juice, and flurries (snowyn). We've tried almost everything on the menu. My favorites: oolong milk tea, durian smoothie, lychee smoothie, red bean smoothie, and mangonada. If you're new to boba tea, start with the basic like cream black blastea or oolong milk tea. Oolong tea has nutty taste to it. Lychee smoothie and mangonada are super refreshing. You have an option to add fresh mango on top of mangonada at additional cost. Red bean smoothie is sweet and nutty. Last but not least, durian smoothie. I grew up in Asian and loveeee durian fruit, so I love it. If you haven't tried it or you may have heard, it has a very strong smell and taste to it (some people compare it to a rotten smell...lol). I love the flavor choices here! I ordered the traditional black tea milk tea with boba. I got it 50% sweet and sweetened with honey. I thought it was cool that you get the choice to sweeten with sugar, honey, or stevia. My partner ordered the taro coconut smoothie. Both drinks were soooooooo good! The design of this location is nice, there are two levels to take advantage of the views, there is also seating on the first level for those who do not wan to climb the stairs. Love my bubble milk and I am jumping with joy that Teapioca Lounge has opened a location in the arboretum! I have always frequented their Parmer location and now that they have one within my home and WALKING distance no less, my body is ready to get some exciting sugary dessert drinks in me! I really enjoy the interior design, small and intimate with a nice staircase for a 2nd floor setup. The second floor has a few cozy single lounge chairs for your enjoyment and you can peek around the peeps in the arboretum! This space has been closed forever and I am so happy Teapioca found and renovated the home to make the arboretum shopping area more lively! I can see them flourishing with the stone cows and the giant fireplace for people to relax around. Great drink selection and topping add ins like I have always known and love, and if you don't love your drink, they remake it, no questions asked. The only reason I come here is because it's the only boba place around here but probably will just go to Starbucks instead. I never give bad reviews for service but I've never had good service here. Does not allow me to customize tea with less ice, fine, I get that. Then also would not allow me to add water to it when I said the drink is too sweet?! Tapioca Lounge really needs to step up their game if they're planning on doing well at Austin. The lounge itself is kinda tiny. There's just a bottom floor where most of the space is taken up by the counter, and a small top floor if you want to hide away and sip away at your boba. Their drinks and tea lack flavor, and are often mediocre at best. I'm also a bit disappointed that I can't get a sample of their tea before committing because I was told that the tea is freshly made. The menu is absolutely huge. No wonder their drinks are all over the place. Tapioca lounge needs to go back to the basics and make their cream blastea, or their equivalent of a milk tea at other locations, actually passable first. There is a nice seating area upstairs, although it was filled when we got there. Prices are fair. They have a huge variety: milk teas, espresso drinks, smoothies, and more. The tea is generally better than other places as they actually brew their tea. They don't use the nasty powder stuff. Generally pretty stingy on tapioca but a double order can solve that. When it comes to milk tea, I highly prefer Kung Fu, but Tea Lounge has a wider variety of drinks. A couple I've tried and liked included the strawberry banana smoothie and the cafe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee). Only criticism is that I can't tell if it's powder based or not. I've had Teapioca Lounge a few times ago, a few years back, at the Parmer location. Back then, the bubble tea options were few. But now, with other places in town, they've got some competition. I ordered the dried plum black blastea with mini tapioca. I thought that the flavor was a little strange. I'm usually a big fan of plum (and yes, the Asian plum flavor) but theirs tasted a little off to me. Their tea also didn't have a very strong tea flavor. The mini tapioca however, were cooked well. Additionally, I asked for a no ice drink and received a full ice drink Also tried the winter melon blastea and peach green milk tea. In my opinion, the flavors were a little light. Unfortunately with big names like Sharetea and Gongcha in town, I was not as impressed. This location is two stories and located in the newly renovated Arboretum area with tables and the marble cows nearby. Teapioca Lounge has been my favorite boba place in Austin for a long time. Even with all the new boba shops popping up, Teapioca Lounge still remains one of my favorites. They have a very extensive menu with cream blasteas (which is just milk tea), fruit teas, smoothies, and even more! You will definitely find something you like here! One of my favorites is the Tropical Matcha smoothies (I recommend it at less sugar). It has the Matcha flavor but it's fruity at the same time- an odd combination, but absolutely delicious! My all time favorite drink to get at boba shops is Oolong milk tea (here, known as Oolong cream blastea). Definitely recommend customizing the sugar level as some of the drinks can be very sweet.
