Houndstooth Coffee - Black coffee & hot latte

The best coffee spot in Domain, Austin. Quick service, nice and airy. I picked up coffee for 3…read moreconsecutive days from Houndstooth once I found the place (recommended by a coworker). The peppermint mocha is amazing, and so are the breakfast tacos that they offer from Tacodeli. I just discovered Breakfast tacos and I am pretty impressed, they definitely beat the breakfast burritos which I never seem to ever be able to finish. The pumpkin yogurt granola was another mind-blowing find here. Pretty quiet in the mornings so it makes for a good working/relaxing with your cuppa coffee spot.

I've been going to this place on and off for just over a year. The staff are really nice and the place is kept clean and tidy. It has a simple, modern design which works, plus they also sell merch if you want a cup, hat or t-shirt! The location isn't very big, but there's plenty of seating inside, as well as outlets to use if you're going here to study, browse or just relax. They also sell a range of beer and wines, so you can get a lil chaser of your favourite tipple, which is great because it's open from 7am-9pm, so you can walk right out onto the main road which is full of bars if you want to keep the party going. The coffee is rich and tasty, plus they do a small selection of pastries and breakfast tacos (Tacodeli) in the morning. Warning, the Tacos go QUICK if you're looking start with the handheld bundles of joy. Overall, it's a great coffeshop for the coffee itself, its atmosphere, placement, and selection of drinks.

The restaurant is located on Rock Rose Avenue and filled with so many delectable treats. The pastry case will make you weak at the knees. The pastries range from buttery croissants and cinnamon rolls to colorful macarons, fruit tarts, and canelés. The pastries definitely capture your attention. They also sell breakfast sandwiches, quiche Lorraine, along with other breakfast and brunch items. Bakery Lorraine offers a full espresso bar with an assortment of coffee drinks, lattes, and seasonal specials. We ordered coffee and a pastry. Both were delicious. The location and atmosphere are an enticement to dine at Bakery Lorraine. The restaurant has floor to ceiling windows with an abundance of greenery inside. It feels a bit like a modern rain forest. There is an abundance of seating both indoors and outdoors. You can meet a colleague like me, enjoy a coffee with a friend or family member. Free parking in a nearby parking garage or on the street makes a Bakery Lorraine visit very convenient. Service was quick and efficient. My latte did not have enough lavender syrup and my barista gladly added more. Great breakfast spot...

Heck yeah. Just signed up for the Capital One venture card at the end of September/beginning of…read moreOctober. Was pretty stoked to check out this café. The inside was honestly a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be, and there was a solid amount of people in there. When we first walked in, I'm guessing we looked a little lost, because one of the agents who stands around to speak to people approached us and asked if this was our first time, asked which card we had, and then directed us to where to order our drinks. They were very friendly. They have sofa and lounge chairs plus a a lot of tables to work at. I got a cardamom Matcha latte with almond milk, and my husband got one of their seasonal drinks, something with gingerbread I believe. Got them both hot. They were delicious! I did witness one girl who got a Matcha latte go back up to the counter and ask the barista's if they could make it sweeter. And the barista told her that that cost extra, but then also pointed her over to I am guessing where they had like sugar packets or what not. Thankfully, I'm OK with the earthier flavor of matcha, plus the cardamom really gave it a nice kick. Since they do charge extra for non-dairy milk, or liquid sweeteners -- it really does help the fact that Capital One card holders get 50% off their order. So I can justify the extra add-ons if I wanted to. Two drinks that would generally cost about $12-$15 at Starbucks, only cost us about $7.50 here. Not to mention they also have pretty sweet deals on Wednesdays, at least until the end of the year. To heck with SB! I'm coming here from now on. You really can't beat the price. They have ATMs off to the side, which is helpful. And I didn't get to explore the entire area, but I believe they also have meeting rooms as well that you could rent if need be. All in all, a really cool banking, working, café experience. I'll be back!

I didn't know what to expect to be honest. I thought it was gonna be more of a business building and some small lounge to the side. But no I was completely wrong. The inside is HUGE and has tons of space for people to work, drink coffee and have food too. The vibe in here is also really nice and homey. There are also some rooms off to the back and side where you can host meetings or talk to someone about banking options with Capital One. I'm sure you also know this, but if you use your card at the coffee bar you get 1/2 off drinks. So normally getting something like we got would have been 14 something at Starbucks. Over here it was around $7.50 I would love to come back and see what different seasonal items are available during that time. The Gingersnap Latte I got was really sweet and tasty with that hint of spice throughout as well. You should seriously come here. Even if you only go once, you'll be really satisfied
