It's such a lively social scene here, which makes it even better. I really enjoyed my evening relaxing, doing a little work, and talking to people. I have been to the Starbucks Reserve in Chicago and enjoyed it as well. But I know this will be my favorite of all of them. It's huge but intimate. At night, it's dimly lit with huge leather sofas. Some areas are more private with tables and chairs for two or more. In the daylight hours, it turns into a different vibe, a very businesslike feel, but still with a relaxed and friendly environment. They were super busy around 2:30pm on Wednesday 7/22 & it was clear there wasn't enough people staffed, however, the way that the guy making the drinks showed up and showed out was pretty impressive! I had an uncomfortable experience at this location today. Around 11:00-11:30 a.m., two employees were having an extremely loud conversation while the store was full of customers. I wasn't even sitting or standing particularly close to them, but I could clearly hear their conversation from a distance. At one point, I distinctly heard one employee say, "I am racist." His coworker laughed and then asked him to lower his voice. I did not hear the full context, so I cannot say what he meant by the statement. However, I found it inappropriate and unprofessional for employees to have such a loud personal conversation in a crowded customer-facing environment, especially when the conversation included a statement like that. I hope management can address the issue and remind employees to be mindful of their volume and conversations around customers. read more

Wanted to try some of the exclusive reserve drinks and was a little disappointed. The drinks were overpriced and tasted similar to the regular Starbucks drinks. There was limited seating space and not a lot of outlets. I'm not a fan of the shared restroom spaces and would prefer separate restrooms rather than a shared hand washing area. Big and spacious Starbucks conveniently located in the Domain. Service is always fast. Starbucks does a promotion a few times a year called "Yay Day", in which Starbucks Rewards members get 50% off one drink from noon to 6 PM. I downloaded the app and signed up for free, but my coupon was nowhere to be found. When I asked the barista about it, he mentioned that to qualify for the offer, you need to download the app and create an account at least a few weeks before "Yay Day". We must of came to the reserve at the tail end of its life earlier this month because our experience is nothing like a lot of earlier experiences. We first came on a Saturday night seeing that the Starbucks was open late. The regular side Starbucks was opened late, not the reserve bar. We couldn't fault them cause it wasn't listed on their website that both the reserve bar and regular Starbucks operated on different hours. We came back the next morning excited just to be pretty disappointed about the reserve. We sat at the bar and thought someone would come up to us and ask us for our order. Nope we had to go in line and order through the regular cafe side. We saw from older pics that the reserve bar usually has a menu that offers coffee flights and coffee over ice cream which my fiance really wanted to try. "Nope, we don't do the special pours and they haven't sent us ice cream in a long time" The reserve barista said. While the shaken lemonade drink we got was good, we only did it for the cups. I honestly wouldn't return here because it sounds like the reserve part of this starbucks will be closing and converting to a regular starbucks. Unfortunately I have to second these reviewers on their poor services and long wait time. However, I think it is still a good coffee break spot in the Domain, and I think it's best to visit during weekdays to avoid the crowds. It's a pretty nicely decorated store, and sometimes you see chess clubs hosting tournaments on their outdoor patio. It's a Starbucks Reserve so we assume ppl have higher expectations for them than a regular Starbucks. This store unfortunately doesn't have that "reserve" classy vibe and rlly just make you feel like a regular Starbucks. The only location in Austin that knows how to make a Carmel Apple Spice! Had a friend in town who was looking for a 'Been There Series' mug so decided to grab a drink as it was a little chilly outside. I really really really wanted to love this Starbucks. I took my husband who is an avid Starbucks avoider, and convinced him it would be much better than the regular Starbucks stores. It was complete chaos in there. The line to order was confusing people just randomly walked up and ordered - no line or space for a long line (there were prob 20 people waiting to order). When we went to order we were looking for recommendations because we've never been to a Starbucks reserve and wanted guidance to get us something special. My husband typically has an espresso with a very small amount of frothed milk - just a dollop. He told the barista the flavor qualities he likes and the guy said ok get this (forgot the name) what size. My husband said no I want an espresso drink - the guy said yep that's it. In a tall. When they finally made our drinks, his was a poured coffee! He waited 20+ minutes to get it and it wasn't even close to what he wanted. Ugh - I love Starbucks and now he swears he will never go back to one. My drink was one of the regular specials at the reserve and I didn't like it either. However the coffee itself is not freshly roasted. I ordered a dark chocolate mocha. Asked the barista whether it's gonna be sweet and he told that he thinks it's a bit on the sweet side. Then I asked him to just make me a cappuccino in a short cup. The drink was very bad. Coffee isn't roasted fresh. The milk was over steamed and way to hot. It's consistency was very bad and of course there was no latte art! The only reason I'm not giving it a 1 star is because the barista was nice. I just hope he knew what he was doing. The Reserve is something special. Not only is it larger than a traditional Starbucks, but there are coffee options beyond the espresso we are used to. I love the Clover pour over for its lower bitterness level. If you request it, you can get your beverage in a ceramic cup rather than the to-go paper style, which I prefer. They offer soy, oat, coconut, almond, and cow milk options. Service is prompt and friendly, and the space is open with a variety of seating options. This is literally the smallest starbucks reserve in the world, it's just a smidge bigger than a regular starbucks. honestly it's a 3 star at best, service etc ok not great I gave it an extra star because of the reserve status and you can get different drinks. Sleek and modern interior design! The interior was fairly large and packed with customers working and studying at the tables. They had a domain north side exclusive called Color Me Refreshers (a drink where you can customize the colors), but it was not in stock the day I went. I came in not knowing that it is one of 43 locations in the US. my fiance and I were excited to see the extended single origin menu with an option to try flights of their premium coffees. This place has no respect for its customers and seems to have an issue with discrimination which determines the level of service and respect you receive. I went in recently and was very clear to order a Frappuccino made with Oat Milk with NO whip. As I'm standing at the pick up counter, an employee turns and slides the drink and turns back around very quickly. They didn't even call the name on the cup, which felt odd but I dismissed it at first because the drink had whip on it so I assumed it wasn't mine. I waited as it went unclaimed so I looked at it and it was mine, clearly labeled on the cup "oak milk, no whip". I showed it to the employee, a very tall white male and he told me he would "scoop it off, because that's all they do" (which I know is NOT company policy). He was very abrasive in his response as he postered himself arrogantly. I initially decided I would scoop it off myself and just never return, but then I figured if they got the whip wrong when it was clearly labeled otherwise then maybe I should check about the oat milk since that is a more urgent food allergy. At first, he tried to lie and dismiss me, but as I began to question the employee that made the drink she admitted that it was not made with oat milk. Out of shock and frustration due to the fact of the treatment I was receiving and then also trying to force the wrong order on me against policy, I said "oh my God". This man then began to YELL AT ME AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS. I was so embarrassed. After going back and forth with him for a moment, I decided to pull out my phone to record the incident because the audacity was astounding. At that point, he immediately stopped talking and ran to the back room and I never saw him again. I asked to speak to a manager, and it turned out that she was standing right there the whole time and didn't say a word to stop him from embarrassing me in front of the whole store which was very crowded at the time. I asked to get a number to corporate and was given the info to a district manager. I thought the issue would surely be corrected. Sadly, I went back in the next week and order the exact same thing. This time, I decided to stand and watch my drink being made. I sat and watched the employee make a Frappuccino with regular milk again, smh. As he was pouring it into a cup, another employee noticed that not only was I watching but I had been recording the entire interaction from start to finish (to ensure my safety and accountability due to the previous incident) and he whispered something to the employee that was making the drink. Visibly upset, he defiantly poured out the drink he was making and reluctantly went to get oat milk and start over. He didn't even rinse the blender back out first (which again, I know it not company policy) but rather than advocate for myself and risk being publicly humiliated again, I took my drink spoke to the manager on duty separately and decided it would be easier for me to make my own coffee from now on if I have to literally watch them make it to ensure that they respect my food allergy. I called the district manager back again and have not even received a call back. She left me a message after the first incident telling me she would follow back up with me but that never happened either. It's true when they say "attitude reflects leadership". The way employees act is a direct result of the allowances of the leadership above them and I will never spend my money in Starbucks again. Any of them. This mid afternoon, I wasn't sure what to expect as I stepped into one of the 31 Starbuck's reserve coffee bars in the nation. (I reside in AZ where there are not locations........yet.) This is an upscale location is a combo of a regular coffee and a reserve bar. Mark, our lively barista, reviewed some of the special features that a reserve location offers. It was cool to try some coffee beverages that are being tested to see if they would be profitable in the national market. I ordered the "Toff & Salty cold brew" off the "cold craft exclusive offering" menu. I thought it was just delicious! The "reserve americano con crema" from the reserve menu was bold and unique with the orange-piloncillo syrup, turbinado sugar and coffee spiced foam. (Not my favorite.) The modern decor and rich wood bar creates a comfortable setting. So comfortable (that when it's not busy) while sitting at the reserve bar, with the open tab you feel like you could spend another hour here, ordering their newest concoctions! Starbucks Reserve is something I need to try and compare to Phil's Coffee House of that in the Bay Area to my Cali coworkers. Domain Northside is becoming more and more SWANK every single time I visit and this Starbucks is NO exception. After my expensive spin class at 8:30am, I decided to treat myself to some coffee at the Reserve bar and this place takes the cake in wowing you with every little detail of that for a corporate gain coffee shop. Quaint fireplace outside on the patio with giant wooden door stamped "Starbucks Reserve" with all the chemistry necessities to drip brew yourself a cup of joe you'll see that they have it all. I ordered myself a $7 drink from the Starbucks Reserve menu, asked for it iced, and it was served to me in the most gourmet, well marketed item ever where everyone seated at the bar asked what I ordered?! That has never happened and it made me internally laugh that I paid such a high tag to get some recognition over my drink order. If there was one complaint, it was my husband stating the bathrooms here are SUPER confusing in the most strangest designed hallways, don't believe him? Go take a look yourself and report back to me. Reserve drinks also get you a black straw with black Starbucks labeled cups, because green is just too peasant and normie. Came here to do some work with a friend. Long lines, and the tables are usually full. A lot of the tables are small, meant for either one person studying or two people chatting. There also are very few outlets, so if you're looking to study here, you might have to fight/wait for one. But the overall vibe is very nice, clean, aesthetic. As for coffee, I tried the Shakerato. Delicious, and on the sweeter side so be aware. But overall a pleasant drink and I love the thick plastic that the drinks come in, makes it feel more premium. This cafe was really hip and packed when I visited on a Sunday afternoon. Their are plenty of seating indoors and some nice outdoor seating as well. The structure of how you order and where to pick up is kind of blurred. One bar makes standard Starbucks drinks while the other bar makes Starbucks reserve drinks. It's not easy to know if you have ordered a reserve drink unless you ask or if the barista asks you. The barista was nice and even gave my group and I a taste of the nitro cold brew. I enjoyed the special cups the Starbucks reserve drinks come in; it's a nice touch. I also enjoyed the romantic coffee shop vibe and the music being played. It's a Starbucks! So you can look forward to the usual accessible bathrooms, a free cup of water, free wifi and no one will bother to kick you out. As a Starbucks, they also seem bound to play an annoying pop-playlist that is only avoidable by wearing noise-cancelling headphones or when the cafe noise has reached a din.
