I'm convinced the ppl at this Starbucks location hate me I asked for a customization in my vanilla bean frappe and they said they can't because they "don't have a button for it" and the thing I wanted to add was whip cream to the bottom w caramel also (like how they make the caramel ribbon crunch frappe) guess that's too much to ask for lol. This was the closest Starbucks so i came here not realizing I already rated it one star since it's been years since I came to this exact location. It does not take 10 mins to put a chai latte there early when there's no line and people getting their drinks within 2 mins and it was everywhere and spilled Never again --------------------- They don't know how to read or pay attention...I said little ice and out of the 40 oz drink, 30 oz of it was just ice. I've been coming here a lot lately, and I think it's wrong not to update my review from three years ago. Since that time this Starbucks has been shut down, rebuilt, refreshed, and stripped of its former ambiance of meh & shrug. Good for us. And yes it's like any other Starbucks now, but for me a little less crowded than the Arboretum, and parking always seems available in their small surrounding lot. This may change when the new Néktar juice bar & Wholy Bagel open next door. But since I also park & shop at the Far West HEB across the church from here, it's no big deal. Just another pleasant stroll. It's how I roll. I'm not sure they still have the Clover machine, it may have gone the way of that odd beer, wine, & small plate phase Starbucks went through. If you only do local, I heartily recommend the newest & coolest Epoch coffeehouse up the street. But for my day to day $2.22 straight black - especially when I'm not in the mood to touch cash or deal with people - this is rapidly becoming my new favorite Starbucks. I fell off my skateboard after I got a coffee, went back inside to get another one. Kue was johnny-on-the-spot getting me another one, zero hesitation when I asked if I could have it. He acted with compassion and decisiveness and should def get a promotion, a raise, or whatever are his goals workin at this Starbucks location. Kue, you have saved the day. read more

So I stopped in tonight because I've never tried a cold brew before and was running low on energy for the carpool I was about to run. Apparently 'Cold Brew' is made differently and can be less acidic. (Do we really care? Just put the coffee in my veins!) Ana was at the front and I asked her a few questions about Cold Brew. She was so nice giving me a little lesson behind it, offering the seasonal pumpkin flavor, and going so far as to say if I didn't like it to just let her know because they will replace it with something I do like! Lucky for me I do like cold brew and really enjoyed the pumpkin flavor as well. I didn't even add anything to the coffee. It was great as they served it and I appreciated the kindness from Ana. It's Starbucks so I will be back regardless but I will definitely be back to this location. read more

I go to Starbucks almost everyday after school. The service there is amazing with great, friendly employees who get us our drinks very quickly. I normally get a Chai Frappuccino with a birthday cake pop. The Caramel Frappuccino is also one of my favorites. If you were to go there to order and finish up work, anything before 3:55 (when the school kids get out) is probably the best time. Because after 3:55 it seems to get a little chaotic with all the kids. Even through the chaos, it's still a wonderful place to get a drink. read more

My son had a track meet at murchison middle school and i was informed that everyone was thirsty as it is a very hot day in the texas heat, so i made my way to the nearby starbucks and asked if i could get eight venti waters. I even tried to negotiate less waters but i was DENIED. The worker was very rude and stand offish about it my request and told me to go to the cvs nearby. I was outraged by this interaction, she even told me that if i was going to order this many waters i would have to bring the people on need of them there myself. In conclusion, the workers here are lazy, disrespectful. and so not deserve the priv page to be paid by this popular establishment. I left my son's track team dehydrated and disappointed. I just cannot believe the interaction i just had. Do not go here if you want to have a pleasant experience. I just cannot believe this. Terrible service, terrible experience. read more

This was the most unfriendly Starbucks I've ever been in. Seriously. The vibe was so weird and totally unwelcoming. I walked in and stood at the counter for a good minute and a half with Starbucks peeps walking about behind the bar as if I were the Ghost of Christmas past and they couldn't see me... at all. I was Invisible Girl. Finally, I said in my meek "hope I am not bothering you" voice "Excuse me, I just need to get a coffee..." I was met with a giant sigh and eye roll... Dude, it's kind of your job.... Anyway, got my coffee, walked out and will never be back. There are WAY too many Starbucks in the world to waste time on the crappy ones. I really love the area that this Starbucks is located and the service was pretty fast and friendly. The only downfall I guess would have to be the parking lot. The spots are so small that even compact cars looked big in the spaces! Not to mention that fact that a lot of Texans like bigger cars so you know what I mean. Other than this one variable I think that this Starbucks is a great place to meet friends for coffee and also a great place for a student to sit and study. The lighting is great and the bathrooms are clean, too. What more can you ask for? hehe read more

I thought all Starbucks are pretty much the same (except the reserve, those are awesome), but this one just does not have good drinks. The espresso has a funky taste, slightly burned maybe. And I took a chance on an overpriced pistachio latte recently and it was gross. In general, I also find it to be overpriced and if you forget to tell the staff the drink size, they charge you for a large instead of asking what size you intended to purchase. It's not a habit to write bad reviews but this morning's hot chocolate added to coffee instead of the WCM (mobile order) takes the cake. I have about a month left in the area, so I won't miss it. I have never had a real issue with this Starbucks' quality. We go all the time because it's clean, fast, easy. Sometimes my drinks are too sweet here. It's not so bad that I'll do a return though. I often drive here from Parmer because all the Starbucks north are horrible. They always are stocked and the have nitro. The seating is comfy and the tables are spaced out. Here's why I use this Starbucks (Far West and Hart Ln) and NOT the one on Northland and Balcones. I live literally between both locations. Starbucks provides a product and a service. Their product is typically consistent. Customer service... not so much. This morning I went to the Far West and Hart location, ordered some egg bites and oatmeal with blueberries. Foster took my order; shortly afterwards he apologized telling me they were out of blueberries. He was legitimately kind, compassionate and professional. I told him it was fine - no worries. After I grabbed my order and before leaving he again apologized and gave me a $4.00 gift card for the inconvenience (which it wasn't). Customer service matters... it's people like Foster that keeps me coming back no so much to Starbucks, but to that location. I completely boycotted the Northland - Balcones location because of awful costumer service (many time) the "man-bun" tall lanky guy there was the straw that broke the camels back. Worst Starbucks experience ever... Foster should drive over there and give that guy some pointers. Foster know that you alone is the reason I will keep coming back. Five stars for the wonderful barista gal who took our order today! I will love her every time I go here. But I'm getting a little ahead of myself. Here is my tale of newly discovered love for a Starbucks staffer: My friend and I decide to stop in to catch up on life over a Chai tea. We step up to the counter and place our order. Then, suddenly we notice they now serve coconut milk. We decide to change our milk to coconut milk. Sounds yummy, right? When we step back to mention this, the guy behind the guy ordering says: "Haven't you already ordered?" And we both tell him we are just making a quick change. He sneers at us and throws his thumb backwards and says: "The line's back there." So we take up more of his precious order time by repeating we were making a substitute to the previous order. We also call him a jerk...and an asshole somewhat quietly but hoping he hears us. The wonderful barista gal leans over to us before taking the jerk asshole's order and asks "What do you want to substitute, I'm happy to make a change." And we want to hug her. But we don't since we have already caused way too much waiting time for the jerk asshole. You know, an extra 30 seconds maybe. Wonderful barista gal promptly makes the substitution which takes all of three seconds and we wait for our drinks. Shortly, the sneering jerk asshole grabs his coffee, hopefully burning his hand when he sloshes it, and shoots giant poisonous fire daggers into us with his beady eyes. He stomps past our table and leaves. We imagine he gets into his Porche Carrera GT to continue his day of rage and hatefulness and we say to each other "Good riddance, jerk asshole!" In case you run into this "JA", he wears a dirty yellow cap with a blue M on the back. Michigan?? Get a rope!! And don't mess with Texas women. read more

The staff are friendly and efficient for the few visits I've had. It's not a particularly large location but there are seats enough to stay for a while. They do have a beautiful patio. The parking lot is small, though, and a real mess in the mornings. The convenient location and prompt mobile orders are what keep me coming back to this particular Starbucks. read more

Coffee was great but this is the second time I buy the protein box with the eggs, apples are old and grapes are just awful.

This location has reopened as of June 2018. Remodeled interior looks great, and the addition of nitro cold brew is nice. The employees are courteous and helpful, but seem undertrained. There have been some glitches with mobile ordering and drink preparation, with employees unsure of how to read the mobile order or make a new drink correctly. I've visited 4 times since the reopening and only had one order without some type of issue. read more

I am giving some testimonial y'all, so listen up. ( clears throat and gets on the coffee pulpit.) This Starbucks is awesome. I just joined Starbucks a weekish ago and this has been the store I'm training at. I am amazed at the partners generosity, attention to detail, attention and care they pay to their customers and the genuine way they went about training me. The store is always clean, the food ( pastries and amazing sandwiches) are always fresh, and any problems are quickly corrected with a smile. After being a coffee customer here for years, and just having switched to the "other side" I have quite an appreciation for how they run this location. If you are anywhere near this store come on down, you wont see me ( I'm training for the new store in the domain) but you will see a bunch of kick butt folks who will most likely remember your name and your drink by the third time you order it. And as for the folks taking your order, well....they are probably trainees. So speak slowly, and don't take offense if you have to repeat your order twice. I highly recommend Far West SBX for your cuppa Joe.. and after doing taste testing with Starbucks and other coffee, they are the best taste for your buck hands down.Gotta say it, Im a believer. I like this location a lot. It's consistent and the morning staff know my name. I guess that's kinda sad, but oh well :) The only drawbacks are that it's kinda small. It's the weirdest little shopping center. So many businesses/suites oddly configured and crammed into one building. Also parking can be tricky. I've been there several times when there hasn't been an empty space. This is usually when there's something going on at the church next door and the middle school/athletic fields across the street. read more

I ordered an iced coffee and basically just got a cup full of ice... AND the coffee wasn't even full to the top of the cup when I got it. This Starbucks constantly gets my order wrong and sometimes the coffee even tastes old or like their machines haven't been cleaned. To be honest, I'm not really a coffee drinker. But I AM a procrastinator and something has got to keep me up for all those late nights I inevitably have. A lot of coffee tastes the same to me. For the most part, I am quite satisfied with the instant coffee I smuggled back with me from Nicaragua. But every once in a while I want something ridiculously sweet and I am all about placebo effects. So I'll head to Starbucks. Unfortunately this one does not have a drive-thru, which is OK. It's literally a couple blocks from my house, so that gives me some incentive to go out for a stroll. My only issue with the actual store is the parking situation is a bit dicey. Very small parking lot for the 4 stores that are in the tiny strip mall and it's a weird L-shape that encloses the restaurants, with the streets serving as the other borders. Anyway, I only notice this because I drive a truck and find myself trying to back into tiny spaces and getting out at awkward angles. But, not that big a deal. Think what stands out here is the customer service. Every time I've gone in I've experienced wonderfully competent and friendly workers. They've even got some witty banter going on, which I appreciate. They even gave me a Marshmellow Dream Bar for free once. I think I was struck by how they actually seemed to be enjoying their jobs. Whether that's true or not is irrelevant- they at least know how to put on a good customer service act. This is also a marked difference from the type of service I usually experience at Starbucks. Well the long awaited remodeled Starbucks on Far West is finally open; however the seating (except for four chairs, seated in pairs) is very uncomfortable, and all air vents are aimed directly on your head no matter where you sit! Maybe they did this on purpose to keep customers from staying too long? I decided to try to withstand the heat outside, but the backs on those chairs are the worst! They're made of hog wire type metal, which makes it impossible to lean your back against them. I won't be returning. read more

This location was always a disappointment. The staff are friendly and I appreciate them. But I gave it a few tries and every time I ordered from here my drinks tasted burnt and bad. Hate to say it, but while living at Far West, I ended up avoiding this location altogether and driving to the one on Anderson instead, which was much better. read more

This is a convenient Starbucks for all the people that live in the surrounding apartments off farwest. But, because of this, it is ALWAYS busy. Don't expect to sit and relax, because the hustle and bustle can be a little stressful. The parking lot is entirely too small and you may have to circle for a parking spot. But not for long because people are always leaving. Other than that, this Starbucks is great. I can usually grab a coffee in under 5 minutes and be on my way. Cheers! read more
