I'm loving this location so much, it's busy but very quiet at the same time. It has a more relaxed feel. The girls taking your order are very friendly, and don't rush you into a latte you don't want. I've been to a few in Houston and a couple here in Austin, and this location is my favorite so far in the Austin area. The staff is consistently warm, upbeat, and engaging in a way that feels intentional and on brand. However, saw a specialty smooth strawberry banana smoothie on a sign and decided to go with that. The drive thru moves efficiently even when the line looks long, and this particular visit there was no line. The staff took my order at my car window using an iPad. The drink was ready when I pulled up to the window and both staff members gave me birthday wishes. The drink was very well blended and very flavorful with fresh strawberry and banana. It had been a few months since my last visit, so I decided to give it another try and ordered a white chocolate iced latte through the app. The employee who made my drink was friendly and polite, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, after taking the first sip, the drink tasted very bland and lacked any noticeable white chocolate flavor. At other nearby coffee shops, the flavor is clearly present, so this was disappointing. I returned and asked if the drink could be remade. The employee who checked me in asked for feedback on what was wrong and how they could improve, which I thought was a positive sign that they care about drink quality. However, the remade drink tasted exactly the same--still bland and flavorless. The second drink was made by the same employee as the first, and she appeared inconvenienced by having to remake it. I also overheard a brief exchange between staff regarding whipped cream not being added to the remake order, which seemed to cause some confusion. I may try a different location to see if this was a training issue or simply this store's standard recipe. The crew here really make this location shine. I haven't had a bad experience at any Dutch bros, but this one is infinitely better and it's because of the people who work there. When my cat died last year, the person taking my order made a point to talk with me and was really kind. I didn't feel rushed to put in my order and move on. They saved me thousands of dollars because I was able to identify a major problem just as it started before my transmission had been impacted. After a while of hearing all the hype about Dutch Bros, I decided to finally go try it myself to see what it's all about... I must say my first time experience was exceptional! There was a long drive thru line wrapped half of the building when I arrived around 11am but to my surprise the two lines went super fast so don't be discourage and stop by! Once in the line we were greeted by an employee standing outside and taking orders with a tablet. The employee was super friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and informative. At Dutch Bros you can adjust the sweetness on all of the drinks and all of the flavors you can make it cold, hot, ice blend, and etc. You have the choice to customize it to your liking and the possibilities are endless. They have a small, medium, and large. I got the medium and it is the size of a venti at Starbucks for way cheaper! For two mediums and tip was $12 bucks. Honestly, I don't think I will go to Starbucks anymore since I can get quality coffee at Dutch Bros for lower price and bigger quantity! I ordered the Caramelizer ice blend with the edit of half sweet and honestly it reminded me of Vietnamese coffee with a slight taste of caramel. It was so good and the perfect amount of sweetness! I don't like overly sweet so it was a perfect balance of coffee and lightly sweet taste. Not sugary and enjoyable! We also ordered the coconut ice blend with the normal sweetness and it was super sweet! The coconut is definitely delicious and everything you dream of when wanting coconut but the "normal" sugar setting is very sweet! For all those sweet tooth ppl, that normal level is sugary level for you! Even though it was sweet, the cup became empty because it was still tasty! Next time we know to order half sweet to best fit what we like. Would I come back to Dutch Bros?? Heck yes! Do I recommend it? Absolutely! The menu can be a bit extensive, but I feel like you can probably just order a random flavor combination and it'll work out. As for the drinks, I got a Rebel Mangonada. I'd probably get it without Tajin next time, but their Mangonada had such a nice mango flavor that was backed by that typical energy drink back-end. Loved it, but since I ordered it without ice they didn't fill up the cup all the way - I really wish I was notified ahead of time. It wouldn't have changed my mind on my order preference, but the people I was in the car with got a really bad impression of the place and were dismissive when they saw my order. I also got a cotton candy Dutch Frost which is blue raspberry + white chocolate and well it tasted just like cotton candy. The Dutch Frost is an interesting drink that tastes like you blended ice cream and a lot of ice. It's like an icey milkshake, I guess? I'm happy to finally have a close Dutch Bros. location. I believe the closest one to me is around an hour to an hour and a half a way from me. The drinks are really good; I got the large Cake Batter freeze, my husband got the large Golden Eagle, and my daughter got the medium Strawberry frost. The "broista" was really nice when it was our turn at the drive-thru; she had a really friendly demeanor, gave us some stickers along with our drinks, and asked us if we had the Dutch Bros app to collect points. We weren't aware of it, but both me and my husband signed up for it on our phones so that we can start collecting points whenever we order here.
