Came here about 6 weeks ago in the early afternoon. R used the Starbucks mobile app to order a coffee and a hot tea while we were leaving another business in Albuquerque. I parked in Starbuck's parking lot because he had just sent the order, and he walked in to wait for our drinks to be made. Dang! The employees here are really quick. I didn't even wait 5 minutes before he came out with our drinks, and they were perfectly made. My favorite location I have ever been to! I have never had such phenomenal customer service at a Starbucks in my life. I was there all day doing homework and the employees kept it very clean, a worker by the name of Brennan greeted every customer that came in the doors, even did samples and went to every table offering waters. The drive thru wait at this location always takes a bit. We stopped to pick up a drink for my daughter, likely a White Chocolate Mocha. This is generally her favorite Starbucks spot in town since it's close to her high school. Before Covid, it has been a good hangout for her and her friends to work some homework. The dining area is rather spacious compared to most Starbucks locations. We also enjoy the more modern design of this space, inside and out. I got here at 7:45 on a Monday morning. You would think this would be the rush time so they would have faster service. Nope. Very very slow. I didn't order anything fancy either: a Caramel Machiato. The prices have also seemed to have increased. $4.50 for a tall! I think that is a little outrageous. Corporate coffee. This Starbucks location is located right off the freeway at Juan Tabo. It's an attractive corner location with nice hardwood accents on the exterior. It's smaller than a lot of locations, but it does include a drive-thru. When I went before the crack of dawn, I was greeted with such a cheerful and awake voice that I was taken aback. How can anyone be so friendly at such an ungodly hour? I need some caffeine, quick. Fortunately, they can pour a fast cuppa coffee, without any frills and get it out quick. I've never been charged extra for substituting the milk for an alternative. They charge for every extra add on. I have multiple Starbucks receipts showing 0 extra charge for a substitution. Ordered a nitro cascara and they gave me a regular cold brew. When I asked for the nitro cold brew they said they don't carry it and only one store on Montgomery has it. Went here with my husband today and the guy at the window tried to scam us into paying twice. We went through the drive thru in 2 different cars and I asked to pay for the car behind me, aka my husband, and paid for both our orders. The guy at the window seemed great! I pulled out and my husband pulled in for his drink that I'd literally just paid for. The guy acted as if I hadn't paid for it?!?!? My husband was confused and said he knew I'd just paid for his drink because I'm his wife and we were on the phone the entire time. I really like this Starbucks location not only is it close to my house and I've never had any problems with employees at this location. They have always been so nice, sweet and polite. This place is rediculously slow.. three times I have gone to this location and the drive through line has been wrapped around the building. Each time I go inside because the line is shorter and it still takes them 20 minutes to make a latte. They crank out all the drive through orders and take their sweet time on those inside. Paid for a coffee and a rip van wafels which costs $2 today. After getting into my car, I realized I forgot my wafels on the cashier counter and came right back in. As I approached and asked the male cashier who just ring me up, I saw him pulling it out of his pocket. He then gave it to me. I was definitely totally unhappy but was late for work so just took it from him anyways. I mean come on, I was gone for like 30 seconds. Is Starbucks not paying him enough? That's technically stealing. I don't know if Starbucks policy allows their employees to do that. As I headed out, I heard other employees laughing too. I'm not sure if they were laughing at what happened or I was just oversensitive because I was still pretty frustrated.
