For whatever reason, this Starbucks location makes the best cafe mocha. I've tried every west side…read morelocation and this one is my favorite. I order a Tall cafe mocha 95% of the time. Same order this time. But I was disappointed. A Tall drink from Starbucks is listed as 12oz. When I picked up my order from the counter, I right away noticed that my cafe mocha felt a little light in terms of quantity. I should opened it and checked, but didn't. I live six blocks from this location. When I got home, I opened the cup lid and discovered it was at about two-thirds full (see picture). I was not happy. I understand they leave room for whipped cream and other toppings, but this is ridiculous. If Starbucks advertises 12oz, I expect 12oz, not 7-8 oz. Being a Yelp Elite member, I try not to complain about my food or drink as I stand behind my critique and ratings. Starbucks, you failed me. 2-stars.

Another thing which is nice of this Starbucks location is they have some nice, soft seating towards the bathrooms. Kind of like a wraparound couch. The Wi-Fi here is good, for an Albuquerque Starbucks, which is nice. I've often seen teenagers here, so there must be a school nearby, although I've not seen it. Either that or this seems to be a place frequented by teens who will come here to chat and do homework. For me there's only one drawback. This location is kind of hard to get into the parking lot. I find it best to approach it heading south on Golf Course road, then turn right into the parking lot for the Smith's which share the parking lot. However, in a sense its kind of cute. We call it the TARDIS Starbucks, because it seems larger on the inside than it does on the outside.

Not like grandma's hash slinging eggs over easy, coffee, reading, chatting, and just enjoying the day in general. If I had more time, I would have written some on my dissertation this morning. The space is inviting for work, a small gathering, or a coffee break. A great addition is the staff, who was very nice throughout our experience. We got the biscochito blend and it was delightful and their small empanadas were ok. Even though it was a brief visit, I am very tempted to try their flavored ground coffee bags, which includes Mexican spiced chocolate, dulce de leche, vanilla bourbon, piñón fudge, and piñón blonde.
