I've been wanting to try the Anaheim location for quite a while, so when the popular Filipino bakery chain opened up this Cerritos location, I had no more excuses for putting it off. Anyways, I'm so happy I finally checked it out because the Senorita bread was delicious. The bread came out piping hot, and each bread roll was slightly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside from the melted butter and brown sugar filling. The senorita bread is pretty simple, but still delectable with its buttery sweet richness. And given how airy the rolls are, I devoured my bag of 5 (only $3) before I even realized how many I'd had - so dangerous! Haha. The bakery opens at 6 am every day. The prices of the Señorita bread at this bakery are definitely worth it if you want to bring something to a party or gathering; I highly recommend getting them. They also have filled ones with Nutella, strawberry cream cheese, and dulce de leche, which are definitely worth trying, and these packs are four pieces for five dollars. Honestly, you can't go wrong with just getting the original--they were so good, hot and fresh out of the oven. They also have mochi donuts, which I didn't get to try but definitely want to next time, and a clearance box for fresh items they want to sell quickly, which is cool because I got to try the strawberry cream cheese and Nutella ones, both of which were super good. So, first I called this location to make sure it was legit. It shows as "unclaimed" and I'm only familiar with the one in Anaheim. To my shock, my call was answered. I called to inquire about placing an order to pick up another day. The lady was very nice but said she had to ask if they did that cause she didn't think so. When she returned she advised that no them couldn't but if I come in, maybe they could assist. I went to the location and placed the order: 20 malasadas, 20 mochi donuts and a lot of starbread. The lady was very nice and apologetic for having to come in. I asked her what exactly is in starbread and if they sell one to try. She told me they come in packs and I was bummed. I didn't want to buy a pack just to try. She surprised me with 1 to try and guys...I was so glad she did cause it made me buy the 5 pack. As I'm writing this I wish I got more as I ate all 5 already and want more. THEY ARE DELICIOUS!!! I also bought a malasada and asked which was the best one. I thought it would be guava but she said the cream cheese or dulce de leche. So I got the cream cheese. Honestly, I wouldn't get it again. It was pretty dry and dence. I've been a fan of Starbread ever since I first discovered them years ago in Northern California. Happy that they have a couple of locations in Southern California now. Been waiting eagerly for this branch to open ever since I first spotted their opening soon sign in the window. The time finally came a few weeks ago. The Senorita bread did not disappoint! It was delicious!! Bought some assorted Malasadas as well. Unfortunately, both my Wife and I were underwhelmed with the Malasadas. There was hardly any filling inside the ones we received. First time here... so I bought two orders of their 10 pieces of star bread. That way I could try one and give one to a friend. Upon opening my bag of bread, I was disappointed to find they were all smooshed and oily in a donut bag. I can't believe I gave a bag just like this to a friend. I guess I didn't order enough to constitute a box or decent packaging but seriously it's just sad to find your food like this. I'm actually embarrassed I gave a bag just like this to a friend. This bread is sooooo so good! I gave it a 4 only because the one I went to in Las Vegas had some sausage bread options as well, and had heated the bread up before selling to us. The reason this location didn't warm it first could have been because I bought less this time or because I came closer to closing time, but I would have to go again to find out. The employee was very kind and quick to come from the back to assist at the register. The store is pretty small and located in a shopping area. This bakery has very tasty sweet bread, especially when warm, and also had items on sale for those breads that weren't as fresh. I grabbed one of those as well and it was still very good. These have been a guilty pleasure of mine. I can eat like 3 in one sitting & that's how you know how dangerous they are. My daughter can eat like 5 or 6 in one sitting. The shop is very small, but they offer different items/goods. The shop is clean & organized. They sell pandesal, ensymada, malasadas, mochi donuts, & other goods. Service here is fairly quick & easy! The last hour before closing, they have good priced at 50% off. This is located in a small strip mall with plentiful parking. There's also order bakeries & shops in that area that you might want to check out. It's like a Filipino town. Very happy to check out this location out as I always go to the Carson location. Was anticipating this location opening for a few months and they finally did after the Thanksgiving weekend! The location is fairly small so I wouldn't be surprised to see a wait out the door during the busier times of the day. Fortunately, I came around 7:05AM right when they opened and there was only one person ahead of me (then two others behind me by the time I left). If you've been to any Starbread location, you know the star of the show is their Señorita bread. My family enjoys just the plain jane Señorita bread the most but having a few variants is always nice to try. Along the left side of the store, they have their variant flavors for Señorita bread and pan de sal. Today, I saw some Señorita bags for Ube, Nutella, Strawberry Cream Cheese, and Dulce de Leche flavors. The main display case next to the register houses multiple flavors of mochi donuts and malasadas (see photo). I'll put those on my "try next time" list. They also have a promo to sell 50% discounted donuts the last hour of business and some price savings if buying larger quantities of donuts during the regular business day. Feel free to pick up some treats for the office or your upcoming Christmas parties and birthdays. The pricing for the Señorita bread is very economical (~$0.60/pc) compared to some of the fancier pastries you typically see on the gram. All in all, happy to have a location closer to home than Carson and Anaheim. This is a great addition to the other Filipino bakeries in this shopping plaza. read more

Starbread is very near and dear to my heart. Used to frequent the Daly City location before moving back down to So.Cal. I never expected them to open up a shop out here, only found out on Mother's Day when I saw a box with the magical word written on it. I couldn't believe my eyes, but it was THEE starbread! My sister surprised us with a box. It took me back to the good days of having this bakery down the street from me. The bread was much sweeter than what I remembered, but I actually liked it better.
