My boyfriend and I were assisted by Kanna, who was efficient, quick, and straight to the point--exactly what you want when you're ready to indulge. Its in a large shopping area so there is a lot parking but it can get busy. Inside was well maintained and is just a waiting area like the Carson location but this location is smaller. The employee working the counter was very nice. We ordered the 25 piece starbread and man, always hits the spot! Also picked up a holiday donut. Not too much icing. I picked up 20 pcs of their sweet breads today. They served them in a bag if you get 10. But they can split the 20 in 2 boxes for you if you pay 75 cents extra. I didn't want them to get smashed so I paid for 2 boxes. They came out still not in the box. I ate one as soon as I left the store. The bread was soft and delicious. I brought some friends here to try the specialty star bread. The gentleman who greeted us came out with a small two piece sampler but it was more than enough! My friends each got a box of 15 or more pieces. All freshly made and still warm from the oven. I also got these mochi donuts : strawberry glazed, chocolate covered and pistachio glaze. 2/18/24 Oh this is definitely Filipino territory! There's Seafood City, Valerio's, Goldilocks & Cape Republik within a few doors down from this shop. In comparison to the ones offered by Pampanga's Bakery, this señiorita bread actually won me over--and it's not something I would pick out for myself. I thought I'd give it a try because my cousin keeps ooh'ing about it like it the best thing since sliced bread (see what I did there? Yup, so corny & so Filipino of me lol). Of course it's best eaten when freshly made coz it's so warm & comforting. It's a bit too sweet but not cloyingly sweet, it's perfect. It's soft & pillowy, just melts in your mouth goodness. The store/shop is small, barely enough for 2-3 people to be inside to line up for their goodies. They also offer items like mochi donuts, pandesal, ensaymada & malasadas. I should've asked if they sell the pandesal as hot off the oven but I doubt it coz that might be competition for Valerio's next door & somehow they do not have the bandwidth for it. I told my boyfriend I want a bouquet of señoritas instead of flowers now. That's how much I loved these and it was my first time trying it too. I feel like I've been missing out my whole life. I ordered 10 for $6 and they gave it to us warm. I'm not sure if it was fresh out of the oven or if they heated them up for us but that first bite was heavenly. Shop is small and there could be a wait but it goes by fairly quick. They also offer other sweet breads such as malasadas, donuts, and flavored senorita bread (ube, cream, etc.) They have a small selection of 50% off goods for leftovers from the prior day, which I think is neat since it doesn't go to waste. New hours! 6-6 each day. This place has steady stream of people walking in for the 15 mins I was there. I've been an avid customer of starbread for the past 20 years when I lived in the Bay Area. I was excited to see that they had a few locations in SoCal. They don't take phone orders, just walk in and it's ready within 10 minutes. They also have mandalas filled with different centers and mochi donuts. I think they're about $2.50 each 60 pcs for $36 which comes out to be about $.60each senorita bread. Think of a warm pandesal that comes out hot, fresh, and ooooozes butter and sugar, MmMmmmm... In a small strip mall with plenty of parking. Small shop but clean and inviting.
