I would recommend Star Locksmith to anyone without hesitation. Bulent showed up less than 1/2 hour after I called him on a Saturday morning, when I'd had trouble even getting a call back from a different locksmith that a friend had recommended. He was able to quickly offer me some options to replace a damaged door lock, and actually provided service above and beyond what he charged me for in terms of making the repair. While I don't have a lot of experience with locksmiths, the price seemed very reasonable, especially given that it was a weekend call. Sounds too good to be true, right? It's not. From first call to fixed in one hour. Replaced the part broken part of a deadbolt rather than the whole thing so it didn't cost as much. Echoing the other terrific reviews for Bulent and Star Locksmith, who got me back into my apartment. After a 3 hour debacle on the phone with other companies on Memorial Day weekend, Bulent was about my 5th call. He answered the phone and quoted a rate under half of what I had been quoted by other less professional, less pleasant locksmiths. He said he would arrive in 45 minutes; he was at my door in 35. When the lock proved difficult to pick, he build a new cylinder for it in his van parked outside! He even provided me with three keys at no charge that would more easily fit in the lock. I recommend him without reservation -- save yourself the time and frustration of going with one of those "$15 locksmith" ads on Google and make Bulent your first call next time. read more

Bulent from Star Locksmith is simply stellar!!! I live in a condo where the main door lock was broken and needed someone to fix it. He was here before to fix something else with the door, but this was the first time that I met with him. He was absolutely courteous and worked around my tight schedule to come by when I called him. The appointment was scheduled for 8:00 AM in the morning (I had to leave my apartment by 8:45 AM to go to work). I got a call at 7:56 AM from Bulent letting me know that he was outside (PROMPT - in fact EARLY)! When I went out to meet him (2-3 minutes), he had already diagnosed what the general problem was - and by the time it was 8:14 AM, the problem was fixed and we were exchanging receipt and check. It turns out something was wrong with the electric opener and he found some tiny piece of metal stuck inside. He told me that he's going to look for the part and have it in stock so if the same problem happens again next time, he'll have the part ready in hand to switch it out. He didn't offer to switch it out this time since everything still works mechanically! He's SUPER HONEST - Not like some of those other locksmith who wants you to replace everything even though stuff still works! He also remembered that he came to the building before and knew exactly what work he did for you as well as the contact person for the previous job. I had to change the locks in my townhouse-out with the old and in with new roommates. I called two locksmiths on yelp decided to go with Star-Bulent called me back went over what I needed done and scheduled the appt. He was at my place promptly at 1, showed his card to verify he's not a nutcase but indeed the locksmith :) Came in and quickly went over the what I needed done with the 6 doors. He had to go back to an office close by to get locks that match the ones I already had in place-don't want to spoil the theme of the house. In half hour he was back and all locks were done within 45 mins. I locked the door to my second bedroom in my condo. I spent about three hours watching youtube videos and trying to pick the lock myself but finally called Star Locksmith. They quoted a reasonable price (about half of what everyone else was quoting) and came within a quicker timeframe than they anticipated. He was extremely accommodating when I asked if he could come earlier than the scheduled time and called when he was heading over which is very helpful.
