I can't say enough good things about my experience working with Bulent. I contacted him a few days before my fiancé and I were scheduled to close on the new house we just bought, and task #1 was to change the 8 locks on the 4 exterior doors ASAP. Bulent responded to my Yelp inquiry within about a half hour and communicated succinctly by text to confirm the day and time, and provided a cost estimate. He texted again on the day of service to say he was done with some other jobs early and could head over whenever we were ready. He brought all of the necessary supplies and completed the job in under an hour, working efficiently and neatly. All told, the 8 locks came to $400 (including the $45 fee to assess the job, and a combination of replacing some locks and rekeying some others ) and he was able to fix the shoddy prior installations so that all of them now operate smoothly and use the same single key instead of the hodgepodge collection left to us by the sellers. Also important: Bulent followed appropriate COVID precautions and wore a mask throughout the job. We called Star Locksmith to get pricing and Bulent answered and was super helpful. We called at about 3pm and he said he could come at 6:30/7. He ended up finishing another job early and came over to do our locks. He did 10 locks (5 deadbolts and 5 knob locks) AND installed our Schlage Encode Smartlock for us (totally saving us so much time)! I recently had to change all my locks and FAST!! I was about to call City Lock and then I saw the yelp reviews. I started to scroll down to find another local locksmith and came across Star Locksmith and all the great reviews and 5 stars. I called at 6 am and explained the situation to Bulent, he was very personable on the phone and told me he could be here at noon!! Perfect!! He called about 11:45 am and said he was 10 minutes out. He came to the door and handed me his card for validity of his business. I showed him what I needed done and he gave me a more that reasonable quote to which I agreed to let him proceed. He was done so fast I was amazed! He re-keyed 4 locks and changed out completely the deadbolt and gave me 4 keys to boot. Bulent is the kind of guy who you really need to work with just so that you can understand what it's like to work with a consummate professional. By the time I called Bulent, I had been trying to work with my landlord's locksmith for over a month. Over a month of phone calls that went unreturned. Bulent, in contrast, picked up the phone on the first or second ring, and came out just a few hours later. He even called while he was on the way to let me know he'd be a few minutes late because of traffic. In the end, Bulent not only fixed my lock -- on the spot -- for $100 less than anybody else had quoted (including other five-star locksmiths in town), he then came out the next day to move the latching mechanism just a couple millimeters to reduce some user error, and then came out a third time to improve upon the lock to prevent user error altogether. The second and third visits? No extra charge. And he did it all while massages and meditations and yoga classes were happening just a few feet away. I mean, quite literally just a few feet away. And the noise didn't bother anybody. So, if you've ever wondered what it would be like to work with a locksmith who will come out on the same day, fix your lock, cost less than anybody else, do the work quietly enough that people can actually *meditate* without disruption in the next room, and then come back two more times without charge just to make sure everything works just the way you need it to . . . then Bulent is your guy. read more

After a locking myself out on Friday night, I panicked and called the first locksmith that came up on Google (a tech sent out by www.locallocksmiths.com). Huge mistake, the guy took an hour to get to me, and once he arrived informed me that he was going to charge me $150/lock (and I needed 3 locks opened). I told him to forget it and that I would call my landlord in the morning. I am pretty convinced that it was scam as the guy claimed he had no ID or business card on him which I asked for he told me that I had to pay a $25 "service fee" and that he could take my credit card number. He was so rude, and the whole thing was shady! Anyway, I called Bulent at 8:00 the next morning after reading reviews on Yelp. He returned my voicemail within 5 minutes, and was actually early to our 9:30 appt. When I arrived he handed me his business card (they're located in Winchester now, not Brighton) and was so professional and up front about the cost. Tried the locksmith who previously changed our locks when we moved in, but no answer as we are not sure if he does emergency call. My car was stolen and, to my dismay, my wallet and my extra set of keys were in the car so I got the house locks replaced. I called at 9am on a Thursday and not only did someone pick up on the 1st or 2nd ring, they called back an hour later to see if I was going to be needing their services. They came over two hours later and they were EARLY!! Bulent was very quiet spoken and super shy but VERY thorough and fast. He honored the 10% discount and 4 free keys offered by mentioning Yelp. In fact, I think he have me the two extra I needed for free. Not sure if the prices are reasonable but it was $35 for the visit and $29.95 for each cylinder. With the discount, I paid $133. So while it sucks to have a vehicle stolen, it's nice to have people do a good job when helping you out. read more
