They are honest and give you options. My daughter has a Jean jacket that she got for her birthday with her name on it. The letters are starting to fall off and we wanted to get them stitched. I'm not gonna bash or do any name calling because we're all adults and we need to act more like it. This jackasses damaged my leather jacket. When I went to pick it up I was told it wasn't ready and the owner needed to speak with me about it. The fool didn't call until weeks later. They burned a huge hole in it so wasn't usable. Then they wanted to give me a $30 store credit to replace it. Can I get a new or used leather jacket for $30? I am a little frustrated... but still decently satisfied. I brought a dress I intended to wear for engagement pictures in for a hem. I asked at the counter if they could match the stitch it already had and the employee at the counter said they could and even put a note in to keep the stitch the same. She had me put the dress on and quickly pinned it to my desired length. It was ready for pick up only a couple days later and was not very expensive. Upon closer observation, they ignored my request to match the stitch it came with. My future in law was willing to hem the dress for free but she wasn't able to match the stitch. If I would have known I wasn't going to be able to get the same stitch I would have taken it to her. Regardless, the hem was even and to the length I wanted. So I guess not a disaster. read more

Wow, I will never return to this place, I was discriminated against by my own Hispanic/Latin people, the owners are oriental, the owner's daughter made an unprofessional expression when she saw a small children's sofa that I was taking to be washed, since her service is supposed to be washing. The Hispanic employee made me feel super uncomfortable from the moment she arrived, I did not ask for prices and they saw me as if I had no money. I didn't like that. Well, in the end they didn't do the service since it was more convenient to buy a new sofa than pay for the washing. But that was not all, when I returned the next day to get the small sofa I could hear how one of the Hispanic employees said to the other employee "look it's her" pointing at me, new mind without any professionalism and how sad that it came in Our same race let's try to do less to others. I sincerely hope that this does not happen to you, I am only sharing my experience, we must remember that this world takes many turns and we must always treat people as we would like to be treated. I've never posted a review before, but felt the need to after this last visit. I had dropped off a dress to be altered not too long ago and figured picking it up the day of the event would be best. What I neglected to realize was that this place is closed on Sundays, which my event just so happened to fall on. This was a complete oversight on my part. I realized this much too late, and frantically started looking for their contact information. I sent them an email as a last resort and they responded within 5 minutes. I felt a wave of relief wash over me and was able to pick up my dress within the next hour, even though they didn't have to come in at all and I wouldn't have blamed them for it since it was my fault. I even tried to tip the nice man that came in for me and he politely declined. This place has earned a customer for as long as I live here! I highly recommend as they have proved they will go above and beyond. And to top it all off, the alteration was done beautifully and for a great price! read more

The reason I given them a 1 star is they did fix the zipper on my jacket.But the cleaning of it is unbelievable first thing is it striped the label right off the arm of my Alpinestars jacket. Witch would have been ok if the jacket was any cleaner than when I brought it in but nope it allmost looks dirtier wtf ever happen to quality and to make things worse they charged full price and acted stupid when my wife asked them about it so in my opinion I wouldn't recommend them to anyone my jacket was a 200 dollar jacket now after I payed to get it fixed it a 40 dollar jacket this place is a ripoff and they don't care about your items. Molly did the tailoring on my wedding dress with really short notice and it was PERFECT!

After hearing that this place did good alterations on formal wear I decided to take my lace wedding dress to be altered a month before my wedding. The only thing i needed done was to take in the bust/straps and add a bustle. I should've known right away when they started pinning the dress that this was the wrong decision but I gave them a chance. The girls although nice have no clue as to anything with alterations! So after they pinned my dress wrong (I sew so I'm aware of how to do it) I had to go in again while the tailor was in so she could do it. She herself didn't know what a bustle was when i asked for one and I had to explain it to her! She quoted me $220 and told me it would take a few weeks. Seemed like a lot of time and money but I figured she must be really good. Anyways 2.5 weeks of her having it she told me it was ready, I went to get it and the train was completely twisted underneath. Her employee and I both saw the problem and called her right away, mind you this is days before my wedding! The next day I call to see what's happening and she argues with me that nothings wrong with the dress??? Finally after multiple phone calls she calls back and says she found it and would have it ready by Friday afternoon (my weddings Saturday) so I said absolutely not it needs to be done before! She got it done by the next day however didn't do any sort of discount and even tried to charge me more!! So disappointing that Molly the tailor handled the situation how she did. Good pricing on my very large comforter. However, I also dropped off the matching window panels, valances, etc at the same time. The very nice counter girl said she didn't know how much those pieces would be so she'll ask the owners and then give us a call. Next day she called, prices seemed a bit high but the pieces were already there and they needed to be cleaned along with the comforter so I said ok. They were suppose to be ready for pickup on Saturday, they would call me. No call Saturday. I called them on Monday. Comforter was ready, not the other pieces. No call Tuesday, no call Wednesday. I called them on Thursday. Everything was ready for pickup. Forgive the pun but I was "taken to the cleaners "! Wow. "Fleeced"! The owner offered no reason for us not receiving a call that the pieces were in. I told the owner that the price was very high for the window pieces and she didn't say a word. Since I didn't remember the exact prices of every piece that I was quoted on the phone so I couldn't be sure if the price had gone up once I walked in....certainly seemed like it. And the owners, not only unfriendly but really on the verge of rude. I'll not use this dry cleaner again. read more

The same dress I brought two months ago is now charging me double the amount because it's now considered a "formal dress". Brought my clothes two months ago and the total charge was $22. I use to love coming to this place seems like there is new management or ownership, every time u bring clothes in to dry clean it's at a different price. They always find a reason to not combine your suit and pants as a combo price. Instead they put it in the system as a separate piece so you pay more. Picked up items 2 days later and sweater was lost, also told the next day extra charge wasn't actually incurred as the person taking the clothes filled out the ticket wrong. LIFESAVERS! I came in on a Saturday morning with a dress I was supposed to wear that afternoon for my bridal shower. I asked if there was anyway they could fit in having it steamed for me by 2pm. The gentleman at the front was very friendly and agreed to take on the last minute task and that he'd have it ready by 1pm. It only cost $10 too! We came back at about 1:50, knowing we were early and not minding to wait - but to our surprise the dress was ready and looked BEAUTIFUL! Let me start by stating, I research every little bit of information on any service or item I am looking to purchase. I am new to Antelope Valley, and being as there aren't many alteration and dry cleaners around, I was extremely skeptical to even begin to dive into a place to tailor my expensive clothing. I had a very important wedding to attend Saturday, and the place I originally purchased my Calvin Klein dress shirt told me their tailors were backed up, and could not be serviced for another week. The panic had begun. I turned towards Yelp, and there was literally about 10 alterations present. I noticed Star Bright Cleaners, which had the best and highest reviews. At this point, I had no other option, so I drove up and gave them a shot. I came in, and was serviced by a nice woman. She assisted me and rang me up, alongside my brother who needed his slacks tapered and hemmed. The owner of the Star Bright, Sam came out to adjust the measurements for my brother. This man is amazing! Customer service was exactly what we except from every business. Professional and honest. 3 days later, we come to pick up our items, and let me tell you, my shirt was altered way beyond my expectations. I came out with a huge smile and Sams response was "That's 25 years experience." Amazing work! If you're particular on your clothing, and are hesitant to experiment with alteration and dry cleaners, hands down, this place won't let you down.
