I requested a mending service for a pair of pants. The fabric is delicate, so I made it clear, mending only, nothing else. We discussed this and repeated the instruction. Well, they took an iron to the fabric and burnt it. It's now crispy and full of burn holes and entirely ruined. The worse part is that they said nothing when I came to pick them up. They charged me the full mending fee and forgot to mentioned that they ruined the garment. The value is poor. They should have comped the service for a better value. I wouldn't mind a replacement garment either. It was a beautiful garment and I am so sad. read more

These cleaners are okay if you can wait to pick up your clothes a week later. But I've used other cleaners where you can drop off one day and pick up max 2 days later or before. Here, you have to wait so much longer. I just tried dropping off some suits for my husband (tuesday) and they wouldn't have pick up until next Monday after 5pm. The owner is a sweet lady but I can't do business where it takes too long to pick up. read more

I had an appointment at 5pm. Waited around til 5:20 and someone finally apologized for the wait. At 5:30 I got up and left. How unprofessional! What is the point of booking an appointment if you're going to help anyone who walks in and make whoever else had an appointment already a second priority. This is a good option, one of the better overall places in the AV. Drop off was simple, the cashier was super friendly, they accept Apple/Android Pay last time I checked, they're open later than most places and the time to clean and pickup for standard service was decent. It helps because I don't get off work until after 6pm sometimes and many places are closed by then; at Silver Hanger I can still pickup my stuff during the week by 7pm, which helps. I deducted a star, however, due to the prices; they could be more competitive. In comparison with George's cleaners in Lancaster (price per piece, as of Summer 2019): Slacks: 5.50 at Silver Hanger, compared to 5.75 at George's Dress Shirts, no starch: 4.00 at Silver Hanger, compared to 3.00 at George's Also - I didn't see a noticeable difference in cleanliness compared to other cleaners in the area (all have been pretty good). So while I'd rate it at 3.5 based on cost for what you get in return (although it may be necessary for them to compensate for being open later, idk), the customer service, mobile payments options and convenience within my work schedule bumped it up to 4 stars. However, you may rate it lower, especially if you clean a lot of dress shirts Iike I do, as the price will quickly add up. If you prefer to drive farther, leave work early to pickup clothes or deal with lesser customer service in exchange for saving a few bucks, I wouldn't blame you. read more

My favorite cleaners yet!! Ive bounced around with a few because of commute convenience but not any more. I want to clear some things up. This cleaner used to be located on Rancho Vista and 30th West next to Vons. They moved a few years ago and a completely different cleaners took over the location. (They Suck) I didnt realized they changed ownership and continued to take my clothes there. After losing a $200 pair of pants and taking no responsibility for it, i gave up on this place. Beware! Ownership just changed, and the new people don't appear to know what they are doing, or anything about customer service. They took over about 2 weeks ago, and immediately jacked up the prices (my normal dry cleaning bill went up 40%!!). Nobody bothered to mention this when I dropped off my cleaning, and when I inquired about the huge price jump, I was told "You complain, I don't care. Prices haven't been raised in 25 years." Twice since they took over, I showed up to pick up my dry cleaning during posted hours only to find the store closed, with no explanation. When I came in to pick up my clothes it took the guy 5 minutes to find my order. The previous owners had a seemingly bulletproof system, but these guys felt compelled to change it. I won't ever go there again, at least until these guys go out of business, which I predict won't take long. read more

Best in town. Clothes come back clean, spotless, nicely pressed, free of pet hair and without any chemical smell and the person who does their alternations (hems, zippers, etc.) is fantastic. A bit pricey, but clothes are expensive and I don't mind paying a bit more to know that my favorite items will be well cared for and come back like new. A little annoying that as a customer for almost 20 years they won't take my checks anymore because of a few bad apples, but this is not enough of an inconvenience to warrant making a change. read more
