I noticed almost all of the low reviews were very old, one 12 years ago! One was from May 2020 complaining they were not open as scheduled, good grief that was the beginning of COVID! Lots of businesses were not always open as scheduled. I have been going to Georges for at least 10 years for my dry cleaning, laundry for things like my husband's favorite shirts that he wants lightly starched and any mending I need. I have never had any negative issues. I highly recommend taking your things to them. read more

I'm not sure what's been happening with George's Cleaners recently, but I work at a local large business that has had pickup with them for years, and I am highly disappointed with the slip in reliability. A month or so ago, I had items that were supposed to be picked up from my office, and it took them almost two weeks to do it. I would be told that the driver would pick them up, only for no one to pick them up. I had two items for alterations in that set of clothing. When my drycleaning was finally picked up and then re-delivered to me on the 10th, my items for alterations were not included. I had to call and ask when they would be ready. I was told they would be delivered on Friday the 13th. I was out of state from the 14th-20th, so I expected to have them when I got back to work. When I came back to work on Thursday the 20th, they had not been delivered. I finally called on Monday the 24th to ask when I would get them back. The shop stated that the driver was already out for the day, and I reminded them that they had had my items for over two weeks. I just find this unacceptable. I had to *notice* that my alterations were not in my delivery on the 10th (they never bothered to tell me), and then I had to *remember* that the cleaners had not delivered on the 13th when they said they would. I really wonder how much longer my items would have stayed there if I had not called to ask about it. I'm not sure I will continue to use them or if I would encourage my co-workers to use them either. And now I'm nervous about the quality of the alterations. read more

I had a stain on a dress I needed for my sons graduation, and Jacob was very helpful. Not only did they get the stain out, but Jacob was able to coordinate it so that I got my dress back on time. The customer service here is impeccable and I highly recommend if you need dry cleaning services to come here! read more

This place always has been easy to drop off and pick up clothes from, I've never had issues with my clothes from here and I would recommend anyone to come here if you are looking for great prices and great quality of work. Today we went to pick up my uniforms and the place is closed. The posted hours show they should be open. Their website said the same. No answer at the store or their primary Lancaster location. I need my uniforms for work. The lack of service and caring for their customers is astounding. I would not give them one star if I had the option. 16 year customer who will be looking for a new cleaners The hours posted on the windows don't mean anything. It's just a prop. I've come by multiple times when they were scheduled to be open to find it closed. Their website has different hours but the results are the same. I really appreciate the proximity to my residence. And, compared to the alternative cleaners in my vicinity, they are less expensive. Also, when picking up my dress shirt one time, I commented that there was not enough starch in it. The next time I had it cleaned, they didn't charge me. I was impressed with them trying to accommodate my particulars. Not sure why all the negative reviews? When I dropped my things off the place smelled like vomit--which I can assume was something someone dropped off to be cleaned... but a little air freshener would've made my mind wander less and kept me from wanting to gag. Used to take my husbands uniforms here for the last 2 years until recently when they changed the chemicals to clean the clothes leaving this horrible stinch on the clothes. Today I needed to do same day service so I went to George's, when I entered into the building the young lady helping doesn't say hello only wants to rudely ask for my number when I ask for same day service I am told that the lady already picked up the clothes for the day and I could not have same day service. The irritating part of all this is the lady picking up clothes was still parked outside the building bring clothes back and forth and it wasn't even 9am yet. read more

I have been going to this location of George's for about 4 years. I'm done. They are so unfriendly. When you walk in, no one says hello. Not one iota of friendliness, not even a smile. It must really be a terrible place to work. I have been saying I won't go back for years...now I really am not going back. Too many other places that will be "happy" to do business with me. Poor service. Took a dress shirt in and it came back with a button missing. Brought it back and told them and said they would take care of it. Then when I went to pick it up I was charged for the repair. The guy working was more worried about his boss than taking care of the customer. read more

After over 12 years of giving my business to George cleaners, I am so disappointed to see how bad they handle their customers when there are issues. No one seems to really care, or take ownership when there is a problem with the quality of their work. Lately their service and quality of work has gotten worse. I can't continue to be a loyal customer when the trust has been broken. This time was the last opportunity I gave them. Again I had to waste time tracing some on to help after ruining my $85 shirt. Three times and still looks the same, still didn't fix the issue. After tracing the manager for a few days, I was able to get a hold of him. Then again I was told that shirt was fixed, I showed up to pick it up....still looked the same. All I was told this time was; sorry they couldn't fixed it. So, they just lost their $150 per month customer. I will strongly not recommend their business to anyone. read more

Expensive and apparently takes 4 1/2 days to launder and starch 3 uniform shirts and dry clean 2 pants. Ridiculous.

The cheapest prices around the AV. They do many uniforms for only 5$ (marching band uniform) which is a way better price than other places that charge an upwards of $15+. read more

I'm only giving this place 1 star based on the employees that work at this place. The employees have no personality and are rude. I even called management to complain and my wife went back to pick up items for her job. After my wife mentioned to the employee how they are rude and not friendly, the girl had no comment and watched as my wife struggled to carry a very large bag out the door with no help. I was taking my husband's uniforms to Century Express for about 6 years until they went under new management problems. Which made me switch to George's Cleaners! Thank God for them... We use this cleaners quite a bit, over the last couple of months I have really noticed the decline in the quality of their service. We have a discount card and we are required to pay when we drop off items ( I really don't have a problem with this aspect that is, if they were consistent in doing it). There is a notation on our account not to iron creases into jeans. We have had to have these jeans redone a number of times. Today picked up three orders, cashier says to me "Oh I have to fix that tag". Charging me $1.50 more than what was on the tag. I indicated to her that I have had to return jeans a number of time to be fixed and that I should only have to pay what was on the tag. She say, "we are not allowed to give a discount on uniforms because they are already discounted, the other girl messed up and I already apologized for the mess up on the jeans". Really!!!! Done, time to find a new cleaners. I can get the same discount from Silver Hanger Cleaners. Someone needs to retrain their employees so that they get it right and be consistent. read more

This is the worst dry cleaner in the Antelope Valley. I've left messages twice for the owner to return my call and have been ignored both times. They have missed their due date twice and once misplaced my clothes. Thankfully they found them. They asked me what business I was with or was I "just" a regular customer. Really? Terrible customer service, from someone in the business of customer service. I would expect more from a long-time established name in a small city. My company used their service until yesterday when not one but two employees were extremely rude after THEY lost my uniform causing me to work several hours out of dress code. No worries I had no problem relaying my disgust & returning the same sarcasim with which I was met. Thankfully we were on the phone & my GM who has had several issues with George's cancelled our contract & found a friendlier, more efficient cleaners. Family owned? They give the famiy ( who I'm sure consists of long gone originators with much better service) a bad name. read more
