Went to the Star Bar and had a great time. It is like a home town bar. The food is really good. And the workers are very nice. They want you there. Home town atmosphere 100%! I live in Hollister,MO. Only 4.1 miles it saids on my phone. I know I will be going back every Saturday and if I want to eat out I will try all their food! lol anyway real great place if you are looking for a fun time.

This place is great. Not sure why the parking lot isn't full of cars. The service was exceptional from the time we walked in until we left. The food was very well seasoned and the orders were prepared to perfection. It's a great atmosphere with great music. Will definitely plan to get back here again.

My brother that owns property down in Branson loves to come here since it it not like some of the other noisy places to eat and drink. I finally was able to visit with him and i agree. Its really spacious inside and also has a separate game room. The seating is more like cafeteria style but there is nothing wrong with that. The owner amokes up their own meats and sauces if i remebrr right and they were both very good. We sampled some wings and then burnt ends. One great thing is they have their own parking lot and its easy to get in and out of! Which is a big deal in Branson since alot of places are so cramped you cant even sneeze. The night we stopped in they were test running an audience participation murder mystery which was pretty cool and laid back fun!

Salad and mesquite wings

Amazing food! I had one trip salad, which how can you screw up your own salad and 6 mesquite wings. Definitely the way to go, that flavor is amazing. My husband had a smash burger and wow! It was impressive. He almost made it through the whole thing! Service was spectacular, and food came out faster then expected! Would recommend to anyone!

Don't let the dirt parking lot and plain exterior fool you. Inside you will find a clean, spacious restaurant. We went for breakfast, and it was not crowded. Our waitress was very friendly and provided us with great service. The food was clearly homemade and delicious. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. They had a decent amount of BBQ items on the menu and we could smell the meats being smoked. It smelled heavenly. We all commented we have to return for lunch or dinner. And we will return on our next trip to Branson. Give this place a shot. You will be glad you did.

Corn beef hash

Horrible!! We couldn't believe this place has 4 stars. Hate to post this. The first moment we came in, we had to clean a table to find a place to seat and eat. Not sure why we didn't take the hint. Probably because it was 11am and we were ready to eat some breakfast. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for the food. Staff looked overwhelmed. The food was not what we expected. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with hash browns. It had no flavor. The eggs were overcooked and barely had an imitation of a hollandaise sauce. My boyfriend had the corn beef hash and he said it was just ok. I grabbed a cup of coffee to pour me some and the cup had a coffee stain like it didn't wash well. People kept coming in and no staff would clean any of the open tables for them. Terrible service. This restaurant is spacious with lots of potential.

We are here from South Carolina and on Mother's Day. My husband asked what I'd like to eat for Mother's Day. I told him to surprise me...He chose this place and I was not disappointed.. The atmosphere was fun & to our likin..Our server-Jasmine (I think new) was nice, accommodatin and attentive to our needs.. We started with the deep fried deviled eggs--I've never had them and they were really good.. He had the Taneycomo and enjoyed it but there was too much seasonin' on the top of the ribs, they really don't need the seasonin' on top at all, he said (& that's why we didn't give a 5 star)...I had the prime rib and it was so, so good.. They also have a salad bar that we enjoyed. We will be recommendin' it to anyone who's goin' the area..

I'd say the best dish was the scallop appetizer which is served over a risotto - both are excellent and you could easily make a meal of it. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservations, the place was pretty empty however they still made us wait until 5 minutes after our reservation time. We had requested a window seat which quite a few were available and they tried to seat us elsewhere! Already I had a bad taste and I hadn't even sat down. After about 3 more minutes she seated us by the window. We were there for a friend's birthday celebration and wanted it to be special. Her husband told the server. My husband ordered the Worman's Manhattan. He really enjoyed the current infused rye whiskey in it. It added a very unique flavor to the drink. We were brought a complimentary chef's taste of a goat cheese on a small bagette and small glass of sparkling wine. My husband ordered the seafood pot pie and I had the French onion soup and winter spice cranberry salad. The soup was very good and flavorful but the salad was average and definitely not worth the price. My husband enjoyed the seafood pot pie. It was a very generous serving . He shared some with me. It was very rich and creamy. I didn't particularly like the mussels and clams still in their shells inside the" pie" however the pot pie is just pastry crust over a cast iron pan with the creamed sea food. After the meal we were given some stale macaroons with filling that tasted like frosting. There was No acknowledgement of my friend's birthday. We decided to walk down to see Harry's cocktail bar downstairs before calling our shuttle. The manager came into the bar in a bit of a hurried frenzy as we were walking out and asked if it was someone's birthday. We pointed to our friend and he told her happy birthday and then left?!?! Overall I was disappointed in the experience for the amount of money we spent.

The poutine was fabulous. The fry coating was crisp and tasty and the gravy was full of flavor. The Reuben sandwich is outstanding! The way they cut that corned beef was nothing short of magic. An egg on there? What? I've never heard of such a thing, but yes please. And I had the brûlée corn; which I may need to learn how to replicate because I've never seen this on any menu in Chicago, but it's too far to travel as often as I'll be thinking about that dish! The old fashions were smooth! Went with vanilla and loved the subtle flavors. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was a delightful mix of old school pub/English castle. All of it was just what I was hoping to find. Food off the beaten path that deserves a huge shout out. In a town of bland flavors, this place shines like a real gem!

Sat in a comfy table with a padded pew close to the bar with our backs to the wall, which instantly put my hyper vigilant husband at ease (IYKUK). Chatted a bit with our kind server who was also a millennial, how do I know this? The eye contact and lovely snarky conversation. My husband ordered his med rare, which probably came out more med and not enough pink for his liking. Correction on my part, I got the mahi mahi with parmesan grits and green beans and I didn't even need to look at my pictures to recall, it was that memorable of a meal. Being early January a parking spot nearby was an easy find, I imagine though finding one come spring will feel like a miracle. I'd love to stay at the attached hotel but found it's already booked a year out. Doesn't surprise me, the old English charm with its stone and dark wood is straight up story book.

I will say that the pork belly po' boy was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life! I almost stayed in town longer on the second day just to order it again. The pork belly was smoky, tender, and sweet and paired so well with the grain mustard, pickled onions and arugula -- superb balance of flavors. My husband also noted the shrimp and grits was some of the best he's ever had. The shrimp and pork belly in the dish were perfectly cooked and the Cajun spices were well balanced. And we have to tell you to try their fresh desserts. The brown butter chocolate cake was a special ending to the meal.
