This is been my go to place for printing and office supplies for many years. In the last year I have noticed fewer choices, more standard items, and staff that is less knowledgeable about the products. It's a little bit sad! With some of the other large stores closing I feel squeezed into continuing to come here. I think it's the sign of the times. read more

Autumn in the printing center is the best--totally helped me with an emergency print job!!

I placed an order online and went to this store to pick it up. When I placed it, it said it will be ready in 1hr. Well, I went to the store 1.5hr later. The sales associate said it was not even picked yet. Anyhow, it was a small order. So he just picked it from the shelf. After I got home with the item, I opened the box and noticed the box was EMPTY. There was NOTHING inside. I rushed back to the store (30 mins drive). Then he told me he gave me a display box. They have the actual item in the back. wow.. Not rude but not nice. No sense of customer service at all!!! A young lady did assist when I had a question while I was looking but once I got to check out I was being stared at like they were doing me a favor. I wasn't greeted, I was questioned while I was in line to check out. My items were not bagged so I waited patiently, I had already paid, 4 people waiting in line and the cashier looks at me like "do you want a bag?" But with a look of how come you're not leaving. This is one Staples where there's no one helping you in the store. Service is terrible. You have to go up front to cashier's to look for help. One guy told us he's helping someone and then walked out in the parking lot and was talking on his phone!! Will never come back here for sure. read more

I manage the business for my boss. I am in charge of all the bills, payments, orders, etc. I placed an order for pick up on our account at this store. When I arrive the rude bitter faced manager tells me I can't pick it up because I'm not the account holder. I explained it's a business account and I am the Office Manager, I have a copy of the printed order and she could call the business to verify, showing her my business card and ID. She said, no she can't do that, the person who picks up has to be authorized on the account. I told her the person who's name it's under is the owner and he is never in the office, that's why he hired me to handle the office and if any way she can call him to verify this. She said no, they could not release the order period. So I told her if she could cancel it and I'd just purchase the stuff with my credit card. She said OK, I'll cancel it. Hold up...Hold up...Hold up.... so I am not an authorized contact on the account and can't pick up, but I can cancel the order even if I'm not on the account? LOL What a joke! So anyway, forward to months later, I really need to send an employee to pick up some boxes for us so I go online to our account and try to add an authorized person for pick up, no link or place that shows this so I called the store. The lady who answered said she wasn't sure so she asked the manager, the manager's response was that once you have one name on the account you can't change it. Period. This didn't sound right to me so I decided to contact Staples customer service through chat online and they informed me that when you check out and choose "pick up" option, the screen takes you to the pick up screen where "YOU CAN EDIT THE PICK UP PERSON!!" Now how the hell doesn't their ownStore manager know this? This is why Amazon will shut you down! I only buy at Staples when it's an emergency. 15 years of spending $800-$1500 per week with Staples but no more!! read more

I am simply giving this Staples store a really bad review for carrying really BAD office chairs. And this also goes for all the Office Depot and Office Max stores as well. WHERE ON EARTH DO THESE COMPANIES GET THESE CHAIRS FROM???! I can't believe how CHEAP these office chairs are. Very expensive for what they are. I literately sat on every single chair and they were ALL terrible. Even the most expensive ones. It is ridiculous and extremely disappointing. All the chairs are pure junk and terrible for the spine. You can only sit on these cheap chairs for a couple of minutes. read more

From the moment I walked into this staples NO ONE offered to help me. In fact, when I walked up to the employees, they were socializing behind the counter. When I asked them where the presentation binders were, there was this "vibe" that I was clearly inconveniencing them. They didn't walk with me to show me the binders, and it took me a while to finally find them in the last aisle of the store. Definitely avoid this staples if you can. read more

I have bought several items at the Pasadena Staples and something wrong with every item. Bought a HP printer and it was faulty,. Gave me a lesser model in return and it runs out of ink all time even though I run very few copies. Bought an android cell phone and it is the worst cell phone I have ever had. It is so complicated it would take a phone technician to figure it out and the gave me very little free instruction. Said if I wanted more instruction I would have to pay for it. I'm going to buy a new 5c I phone and throw this other piece of junk in the rubbish can. They are not friendly even though they know me on a first name basis. Enough of Staples. L.B. read more

I won't get into specifics but I have never really experienced staff act so short and unaccommodating to such simple questions and inquiries. Place needs work and the employees need a lesson in professional courtesy and patience. I would love to say names but I'm pretty sure these two young women probably don't have a whole lot of anything else going for them based on their attitudes. We were purchasing school supplies for this coming year, and were met with a terrific surprise. When we reached checkout, we were greeted by a very nice man named Trej. He helped us with all of our items and was friendly the whole time. By the time we left, we had learned each others names! I think he exemplifies the perfect retail cashier. read more

The worst Staples I've been to! One time I set up a large print order online. When I went to pick them up, they were mistakenly printed 2 pages per sheet, which was completely unusable for my purposes. They had to redo the printing, which took quite a while since it was a large order. It was a huge waste of paper and time. Next, I came in specifically to buy an item that I had confirmed they stocked - I had a friend go in and confirm that it was on the shelf (a specific credit card reader POS). I went in to buy it, took the package from the shelf to the register, and was told that they did not actually have the card reader in stock. What a bad joke of a business. I will never set foot in this Staples again unless forced too. read more

I came in after work to try and find some boxes to ship some beanies because I've been fundraising for victims of Las Vegas Route 91. Peter and Ronald assisted me. I wanted a particular size and both did everything they could to try and find the size for me, checking different areas, shelves, the back, the system etc. They were out of stock but I wanted to say thank you for the excellent customer service and professionalism they both provided and doing everything they could in trying to help me. read more

This place is staffed full of sexist employees who literally ask the nearby MALE customers if they need assistance about ten times while never even looking in your direction!!! Funny I was looking at pricey printers will these other customers were looking at low ticket items. Eventually I found a printer that suited my needs and carried the enormous box to checkout where I stood holding it for several minutes. I actually did wind up needing help and didn't receive it till I was in checkout! The lady who rang me up was friendly and very helpful. She called one of the guys from the back to check on something but he was useless so she left customer service and got it herself, she appeared to be the only one working. This location clearly has bad management and needs to clean house and hire people with experience in customer service. I will most likely use this store again for it's convenience but only if unavailable on their website. read more

Lady manager was nicer and all smiles and offered to help me twice when their regional manager was on site and right in front of us...Regional Managers should always be there!!! other times, even if sales person sees you needing help, they will find ways to avoid you, pretending they did not see you, oldest trick in the book. read more

Poor customer service. Very long lines. Bathrooms are also only for female customers, male customers are told they don't have bathrooms.

This review is for their printing services department. I needed to get printing and binding done same day. I dropped if off in the morning and asked them to double check the files. They said they would get to it and call me if there was any issues. They did not call me until around 1:30 in the afternoon to let me know they didn't have the files on the USB and by then it was too late to get it done same day. The two women even argued with me when I had not been confrontational, one blaming the other. Don't come here for printing services. There were other customers they were treating rudely as well for mistakes they were having. Kinkos will always check to see if they have the right files before you leave. They were just lazy here. read more

I think people here are being too hard on this place. They're pretty much like any other office supply place with the one exception that they're fairly inflexible on computer prices. They won't match the prices of Office Depot down the street, even on the same item, in stock at both places. So I've learned to always buy computers at Office Depot. I don't even bother with Staples anymore for that. Aside from that, I have no complaints. Once recently their machine for reading the copying e-cards was down and they gave me a ton of copies for free. I'd say they're pretty reasonable overall. read more

I have purchased a safe box on the 16th of August, which I suppose to receive it on 7th and it never arrive . I appreciate the time they take to look for something I called for on the phone...it was an odd thing called a double phone jack for land line phone jacks that allow two phones...I appreciated that they carried the item and that they were able to hold it up front so I could come and pick it up. I always shopped at stapes when I was a teacher...they still have nice things. read more

This staples usually has stock for items that are out of stocks at other staples. I come here if I am seeking deals from the Staples ad. But make sure you come here early, otherwise the items will go out of stock eventually read more

First of all recognize that when you enter the East Pasadena Staples (EPS) store you are seen as nothing less than a sucker! I had a virus in my computer and took it to EPS; they saw the problem and quickly understood how to fix it. That was a relief, however they deleted some of my software. I took it back and they told me that it would be a $100 to restore. I pointed out that I had paid a kind of insurance called PEACE of MIND. However, they said that it didn't apply. Also, I had bought an anti-virus program (SOPHOS) that stated that Staples would fix it for free. NOT SO. There are plenty of independent computer stores that can fix your computer for much less and with technicians who have more experience and education. I should have taken it to one of the independent stores. I can kick myself for not doing so. read more

In the past 12 months I have attempted to use the copy and print services at the Staples located at 3660 E Colorado Blvd in Pasadena because it is closer to my home. I have regretted using them each time. Their copy and print center offers terrible customer service both by phone and in person. Today, I spent over 30 minutes on the phone trying to confirm if they received my online order. They dropped my call twice and my third call to talk to a manager was dropped as well. This was my last time trying to give them business. For work purposes I always use the Office Max located 721 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91101 Phone: (626) 449-5676 and I receive much better service. I recommend taking your copy and print jobs to Office Max. read more

It's obvious that Staples doesn't care about customer service or satisfaction! This is the worst Staples I have ever been to! I needed an "At A Glance" planner and looked online first. It said there were 3 available in this store for pick up. After waiting forever for help, an associate finally shows up. I show him on my phone what I'm looking for and he looks the item up in the store computer. He confirms that the system says there are 3 here in the store. He looks all over and can't find them! I then talk to the manager and ask, "Why would it say online that you have 3 and apparently they aren't here?" She tells me that it could be just an "inventory issue". She said she'd call another store to see if it's in stock and I could drive over and pick it up. NOT EVEN! This was the best she could do, quite frankly...she didn't really give a darn. I arrived at the store knowing exactly what computer I wanted. I checked to see if they had it in stock and they said they had 2. When I arrived they threw their sales pitch about extended warranty. I declined. They turned around and said that they didn't have the computer after all even though I had just spoken to them half an hour ago. (The computer came with an added item.) The salesperson said he didn't know what I was talking about. I told him that the paper add and website said to ask the store for details. He said I had to figure out what that meant because he didn't know anything about it. When I left, another associate asked me if everything was ok. I said No because I didn't get the computer I wanted. She said, "I know, That's a great deal. It even comes with the extra item right?" We sold 4 yesterday! SO THAT TELLS ME THAT THE salesperson WHO SPOKE TO ME REALLY TRIED TO CHEAT ME OUT OF BUYING THAT COMPUTER BEACAUSE I DIDN"T BUY THEIR EXTENDED WARRANTY AND SERVICE PLAN! Soo dishonest!! read more
