On 7-24-26 @ approximately 12:30 pm there were people in line waiting for the person behind the register to acknowledge our presence. He was on the phone with someone trying to help him with AI. He saw us walk up but never looked our way. The person at the computer counter told him to hang up he had customers. When he finally hung up he walked up with a look like he was angry as hell and just stood there staring. Not once did he say may I help you. So I smiled and said hello and how are you today. Bottom line is you need to ROLL the cameras back. If looks could kill we'd be in trouble. This was a hispanic looking guy on the larger side, short hair, between 35 to 40. This is exactly why customer service is not a good place for everyone. People seem to forget why they have a job in that field. Please remind him and follow up occasionally this isn't cool. Since I'm not adept at this, I found the manager, Amy, who spent time with me, creating the most fabulous cards in a very short time, while she also helped another customer at the same time. I didn't have the box, didn't think a problem was going to happen - but they did the return anyway. Thought that was good of them. Two weeks ago I left a 5 star review for this location because James delivered such amazing customer service to me at the print and copy center. Today was the opposite experience delivered by a woman whom I didn't even care to get her name. She refused to assist me and insisted that I go on the website and place my order. I have never been asked to do it this way at any Staples within the last two months, including this location, and she insisted that they have been doing it this way for 3 years. To me this looked like a gross display of laziness. Instead of providing the service for the customer, she sends them to the website to figure it all out themselves. I refused to partake in this lack of service and I drove to the La Quinta location where the service was fantastic! I was in and out of the store with the completed job in hand in less time than I spent listening to this woman babble on about reasons that weren't even relevant to why she couldn't just take my order and print it. I called Monday and spoke directly with the Palm Desert Staples and asked specifically about getting a picture put on a coffee mug for my mother's 95th birthday, I was told I could go online to staples.com or I could come down to the Palm Desert Staples and someone will walk me through it. I entered the staples in Palm Desert on Tuesday at 12:15 PM. I went to the print department and the gal I spoke to said that whoever told me that someone could walk me through it was wrong and I asked the gal with brown hair and glasses so can you please walk me through it and she said no I've never done that before and she referred me back to staples.com ! There is no customer service in Staples . The help button only exist online not in person. I will take my business elsewhere as I needed this for my mother's 95th birthday as well as new magnets for my business on my car and my usual order of 5000 business cards their loss!! read more

I needed a passport photo. I was helped by Maria. She took so much time with me and let me retake my photo multiple times because it looked like a mug shot. She smiled. She was friendly. She never acted like she needs to get back to anything else even though I know she had other responsibilities. I went to find an office chair but everything was more than I wanted to spend. I did successfully obtain office supplies version 1.0 including legal pads for scribbling and 2.0 which was a wireless keyboard and mouse. On Monday 9/18/23 at approximately 9:15am I encountered perhaps one of the rudest Staples employees I've ever dealt with in 20yrs of shopping at Staples, at the Rancho Mirage location on hwy 111 If your unaware, Staples is a registered agent for processing most TSA.gov requests. I had scheduled an appointment with the TSA for HME fingerprints weeks prior to arriving at the store location. The TSA specifically gave me a list of two items I needed to bring to my appointment. Upon arrival I was met with an indignant, frustrated, frazzled, and rude Staples employee who refused to accept one of my two forms of identification clearly spelled out by the TSA as valid. She indicated she knew more than the DMV and TSA and started yelling at me threatening to kick me out of the store unless I went along with her requests. After some deliberation where she contacted her manager she finally agreed to process my application based on the fact her manager indicated I had all the necessary documentation. Anyhow I wish the story ended there. My guess is she was so upset about being proved wrong she FAKE processed my application. Immediately after leaving the store I had such a bad feeling about the interaction I contacted the TSA to verify if my application had been submitted. The TSA indicated my application had NOT been processed and voided immediately after leaving the store. Furthermore the Staples employee refused to provide a transaction receipt indicating I'd have to wait for an email answer to my application within 60 days. IMHO, She was obviously playing a con-game with zero intention of acting in good faith while exacting some sort of revenge. I needed to have TSA verification for work, this lady (agent) not only didn't process my fingerprints her actions also threatened my job security. I reported her to the TSA and she's currently being investigated. Subsequently, I drove 54 miles to the next closest Staples to have my application processed properly. read more

I ordered copy paper for my home business and just never got the delivery. The 1st day, tracking showed out for delivery but the delivery person didn't bother to read directions on the gate. They just stated business not open even though I was here all day. 2nd day, tracking was not even updated & I still didn't get the delivery even though I had given them a gate code to get in.
