I've never been here before but had seen it as it's pretty much on the other side of Trader Joe's and Target where I frequent often. We had to get something notarized and this was where we were told it could happen. Part of a massive strip mall but on the side where it's more smaller business and the car wash. Plenty of parking as the area doesn't seem too crazy busy. The storefront itself isn't overly big as well as inside. You have your counter where you get things together, computer on one side, mailboxes along the wall straight infront when you walk in and the counter is there as well. There was only two ladies working which they were both very sweet. Pretty quiet when we walked in but after sitting down, literally everyone all walked in at the same time. Everything is pretty simple. Gave her the paperwork and signed what we needed to do and stamped. The whole process was pretty mellow and fast. The service was great and the staff were all very friendly. Pricewise, it was affordable. It's also a place where we could bring some things to return with online order if we weren't satisfied. Avoid this UPS store at all costs! Especially for notary work. Needed one notary, no other customers in store, was told to sit while I waited for him. With no urgency, came over and asked for ID which was already on table along with document notary section. Asked me what the document was, I turned to first page, for him, so he could read it and he told me to read it to him. Perplexed I said "you can read, can't you?".....being that I too have been a notary for over 24 years and never once have I ever required a signer to tell me the name of the document! As far as I know, that's not a requirement to notarize. He didn't like my comment and said he would not do the notary for me. All I know is that he must be on a power trip or something and that my opinion of UPS stores in general has been solidified by disappointment. I am acutely aware of the notary requirements in the state of california. I don't need you, to try and "school" me on the do's and dont's and apparently it is crystal clear why your employee is as they are because they must have learned from you. Courtesy and communication are key in doing a notary of which your employee had none. Mask my review with regurgitated notary handbook verbiage all you want. It doesn't make your store or its employees any better than I originally stated. read more

This UPS location has an ongoing scam for them to make money off of people returning items to Amazon with "customer packed items." I went in there to return a Keurig coffee maker in its original box. No shipping labels were on it. The woman at the counter (Georgie Girl..yes her real name) said they couldn't accept the box as it was packed. I asked why, it is in its original packaging and never even opened. She said Amazon has a new policy whereby all customer packed items have to have clean packaging and no original product labeling showing. She told me it was a new policy. So, I asked how much a shipping box without labels was. She quickly quoted said"about $15.00. I said forget it and that I would go home and get the original outside box used by Amazon to ship to me. I ran home (about 3 miles), got the original outside box the Keuring came in. I took off all the labels and the only thing on the outside of the box was a small embedded box label that said "Keurig" on the outside. I figured, surely this is okay. So, I ran back to the UPS store with my now double-boxed return item. I walked into the store and there was a line. A woman in front of me had a small fake Xmas tree in a box, which was slightly open. Just some small taping needed to fix it. She walked up to the counter and got assisted by the same woman (Georgie Girl). The customer told her it was a return to Amazon. Georgie Girl looked at the box and said, it had to be re-boxed because it had "original product markings" on it. Not shipping labels, product branding. She told the customer she could buy one from the UPS store. The woman asked how much, and Georgie Girl got her handy-dandy tape measure and quickly came up with a price. Any guesses how much? If you guessed $15.00, you are the winner. Not wanting to waste my time again, I asked the young guy working at UPS if my box would be acceptable. He asked me if my label said "customer packed?" I said yes. He quickly told me no, that I would need to purchase on of their boxes. Now mind you, this box is smaller than a mini-box available at Home Depot for a $1.50. But he quickly assessed my situation and said I could buy one of their super-duper boxes (embellished description) for....any guesses? If you said $15.00, you are a winner again! I told him to forget it and walked out. I quickly drove home...again! I looked up Amazon's policy on "customer packed returns to UPS. Here is what I found: When returning an item to Amazon, it is generally acceptable if the original product labeling is visible, as long as the item is securely packaged to prevent damage during transit. However, there are a few considerations to keep in mind: Key Points: 1. Product Packaging: * If the product comes in branded packaging (e.g., a box with the manufacturer's logo), it's usually fine to return it in that packaging as long as it is not damaged or defaced. * Ensure any personal information (like your shipping label) is removed from the packaging. 2. Privacy and Security: * If the original labeling contains personal details or barcodes that may trace back to your purchase, it's best to remove or obscure them before sending the package. 3. Amazon's Requirements: * If you are using a drop-off method like The UPS Store, you don't need to package the item yourself. The store staff will handle the packaging and ensure everything meets Amazon's return requirements. 4. Exceptions: * Some products, such as electronics or items with sensitive packaging, may require additional steps to protect the item during shipping. Always review the specific return instructions provided by Amazon during the return process. Being an adult with much common sense, as well retired law enforcement investigator, I quickly put two and two together. Imagine all the customers who are not aware of this supposed "new Amazon Policy, that innocently go into UPS with a return as usual, only to find that the packing is incorrect. But UPS to the rescue, for only $15.00, they will handle it for you. Just think, 50-70 desperate customers spending $15 to get their supposed Amazon approved boxes. Adds up real quick, especially during the holidays. One final comment. I called my cousin up in Northern California who owns 4 UPS stores and asked them about this supposed new Amazon policy. She just laughed and said she had not heard of this supposed change. But she said it was a good idea to make some scratch off of unsuspecting customers. But she is above this type of deceptive business practices. Moral of this story, apparently this UPS store is not against conducting their business in a deceptive way and bilking innocent customers, Use Kohls for all your returns. This place was convenient to me, hooray for that. The line had 4 people in it, but only one person helping service it. To my delight, most people were just dropping off stuff and the one woman that had a complex issue allowed us to go by her. I adore people like that, kind and aware of others. My turn and the cashier checked my package. The tape almost covered part of the barcode, so before I left, she confirmed it worked ok. Little things like that make a HUGE difference. first, they are extremely rude and oddly arrogant. To the point of being confrontational. Its not a safe feeling. Second, they told me they destroy their records so anything from 2022 is gone. How do they do their taxes, I wondered. Normally business records are maintained for minimum times based on professional standards and practices, I told them. I had another UPS store that I had been using for years and long time as they switched ownership they have been loosing my packages it's been a mess so I switched and what a wonderful decision! This Location not only puts my package slips in my box the same day it's delivered they send me and email and a text when my package is ready! The same day it's delivered! Up until this last time I haven't really had any big issues besides the hours and a long line at the counter. This last time I dropped off an Amazon return and the item never got back to Amazon. The people were friendly but the business practice was terrible. I took a box and asked for shipping charges. was given the amount . I needed to bring it back as I was going to be reimbursed from client. when I returned and nothing had changed with the package it was now more expensive to ship. I asked why wasn't it the same amount and was informed because they had to measure which was done earlier.. I paid the increased amount and asked how much would it be to send it USPS instead of Ups her reply was she couldn't look it up as I had paid. something fishy there.
