There ink cartridge recycling program is s joke. Make sure you clearly understand how the program works before leaving any of your empty cartridges with them. I was told I would receive $40 on August 1 (today) in my Staples acct, when I checked, it states that I need to spend another $10 by a certain date to get my $40. That is not how the clerk explained it to my husband and myself. I called customer service and they credited me $20. That's not the $40 I was promised. Poor customer service. read more

This is going to be a mixed review...if I could give 0 stars for the first part of this review, I WOULD. And 10 stars for the second half of the review!! The copy and print center is TERRIBLE. I'm not even talking about my prints (which were done well by Delilah), im referring to the lack of communication and lack of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. While i waited for my prints, i witnessed 4 people get ignored for 20-25 minutes while the guy in the back stood and joked around with a MANAGER. They were laughing and playing with their phones while Delilah was the only one working!! When i tried to get their attention to let them know that people were waiting, the MANAGER gave me a rude look as if i was interrupting THEM. This is extremely terrible service and not the only time this has happened to me and other customers. On a more positive note, I would like to commend the AMAZING customer service of Elias. I needed help finding a chair for my office and had absolutely no clue what i needed. He helped me find an extremely affordable and COMFY chair and all the stuff to go with it. I could tell that he was busy when I stopped him to ask for assistance, but he never complained. He jumped into action and helped me for a solid 40 minutes while I made up my mind. He was friendly and pleasant the entire time and made sure to stay with me through the entire process instead of pawning me off on someone else. He rang me up and even put the chair in my car for me. Daniel the store manager is not the sharpest tool in the drawer.. a return policy shouldn't be that difficult. My 17 yr. old bought some bubble wrap for a project. Bought several rolls, did not use all of them. Today I needed ink for printer, hey! take back rolls of bubble wrap we did not use. Not so easy.. Can't give store credit to a customer without I.D. She is 17 she has her license on her. Sorry she is a minor.. If she is old enough to buy bubble wrap and ink for our printer, Why can't you just give her store credit.. Easy button? What easy button? I call to find out if they have a certain Avery product in stock because the website isn't giving me an option to search stores. After 10 minutes of holding and 4 different people picking up the phone to put me on hold again to find someone in office supplies, someone hangs up on me. So, I call back and they say no, they don't have it in stock. So, I ask what kind they have in stock? Now, I'm on hold again, another 5 minutes have passed. I ordered for in store pick up to save time. Big mistake. Waited over 5 minutes at the online pickup station, which was not staffed; when someone finally noticed me after clearing the regular customer line, they had to call for my order to be brought up, which took a few more minutes. Poorly staffed, poorly managed. Would've been faster for me to come in, grab what I was going to buy myself and go back though the regular line. But I won't be coming back anyway. Every time I use their printer or fax machine they are always working and most of the time the employees ask if you need any help. I've been to other staples in Santa Ana, but the customer service is way better in Orange. When I needed help to print out a picture, a girl name Heather was one of the employees, and she was really nice, down to earth, and always polite. Definitely don't mind coming here. read more

I gave this 3 stars. Because i called this location to double check hours for copy & print. The guys on the phone said yes perfect time would be to come in between 6-7pm because we close at 7pm. I could even hear him asking soneone next to him who worked there making sure. I got there right at 6:30pm and the place was closed. I was not greeted, nor even asked if I needed any help finding what I was looking for. After about 5 minutes, I finally did find what I was looking for. As I went to check out, the checker was only concerned if I was signed up with their "rewards" bullshit and once my transaction was complete, did not even attempt to hand me the item I just paid for off the counter. Ok so I went into staples today to get self adhesive clear business card holders and I spoke with the manager and I was trying to explain what they were, I was not explaining correctly I guess and should have just showed a photo but I was more frustrated he had really bad problem solving skills as a manager. So I decided to go look myself . Then I decided to find another item I needed and I found another sale associate to help me look for another item and I explained it to him and he just pointed to the aisle I was just on, normally you ask I will be happy to show you where the item is especially since the customer states I could not find it. After too many poor customer service situations, I must post this most recent. This Staples bought recycled ink cartridges from me. I was told I would receive a $10 coupon in my email but it could take up to 3 months. This is not a large amount of money-it's the dishonesty. Waiting more than 3 months, I went to store. They wouldn't help me & told me to call 800#. Called & was told I had to have made a purchase of $30 in the month prior. This is a really bad policy & they lost a customer over this. Worst service I have ever experienced. I brought my iPhone 6+ in to have my cracked screen replaced. When I got the phone back the thumb print no longer worked. I brought it back in to which they tried to repair it. Got the phone back and the home button no longer worked. Brought it back in for a 3rd time and they told me they don't have the part to repair it and they would send it out and I should have it back within 2-3 days. It has now been over a week since it was sent out for repairs and I have been told that I shouldn't expect my phone till sometime mid next week. I was also told I would get a call with updates on how the repairs were going. Never got a call... Had to call them. Worst experience ever. Poor Customer Service!! Ordered a laptop, received an email stating the laptop would arrive at this store on 8/16. Went to the store, the guy said it was not there and he was not sure when it would arrive. I asked him to track the shipment. He went to the back, then came back with a tracking number. He said it would be delivered on 8/16 or 8/17 (??)...I got back to the office and tracked the package and UPS showed it would be delivered on 8/17. Today (8/17) I tracked the package and it showed it was delivered to the store. I went to the store and the guy said "Did we call you", I said "No", he said "Then we have not received the item yet"....I showed him the tracking info and proof of delivery. Having dealt with staples for many many years, I must say I was very disappointed with this staples. I moved offices and apparently was spoiled by the fabulous service in Yorba Linda. I needed about 200 double sided copies. The assistant manager could not grasp the concept. To make matters worse, he kept saying the wrong thing. This is the same guy who, when I called to find out what time they close, spaced and candidly told me he was multitasking and couldn't pay attention to my first question. His associate came over - the "specialist" who was similarly lacking in copy savviness. Let's be clear-I needed 200 2-sided copies: 2-sided to 2-sided. They said they need to send that to LA and I can have it back the following night. WHAT?!?! I should add that first I needed to go one sided to two sided and that was even too much for them to handle. Eventually I made the one sided to two sided copies myself and left. I'll be going back to the YL Savi Ranch Staples this morning to get some simple copies made. I would have done it myself on the self serve copier, but I want the bulk discount. read more

Me and my brother went in to get buissiness cards made for are tattoo shop and crystal in the printing center was so helpful she spent several hours editing are photos for the cards while helping several other custumers because the location was obviously short staffed she kept a positive attitude while maintaining a professional work ethic your so amazing girl! Terrible customer service by "management." I came in to exchange a plastic rolling crate that I used 4 times before a pin that holds two sides together popped out. Just wanted an even exchange since I have other coworkers whose crates last for years with no issues. Had my receipt. Girl at the checkout/customer service desk very nice and helpful. She called her manager (I believe i heard her say "Eric" ) on her walkie talkie. Eric refused to come out and talk to me, he was just telling her what to say to me. She kept asking him to come out to talk to me. He sent another girl and then this guy Jeff. Jeff tells me that the manager won't let me exchange it unless I had bought "Square Care." I asked when I would have been made aware of Square Care, apparently I was supposed to look at the brochure at the customer service desk or by the price tag when I was buying the crate. Would I even have thought to buy Extra protection on a $27 item?!? So Eric hid somewhere and had his group tell me there was nothing I could do about this defective cart but buy a new one. Thanks for that option Eric! I called Staples customer service, they said that it is not the standard return/exchange policy, that stores do different things. So I urge you not to buy products from this Staples store. I was told that I could call and voice a complaint to the Customer Service President's Office during regular business hours Eastern time. Practically no wait of course how much can one really have to get ringed up when checking out at staples lol this location has been here for a long time well over 10 years and this center is pretty busy at night especially Friday! Parking still is pretty accessible near staples. Three stars because the chick checking me out at the register charged me for 2 cases of water and I only had one and then I didn't realize until I got home and when I went back they didn't even check my receipt or anything I was really shocked could have said I got charged for 5 and only got 1 and they wouldn't have even thought twice about it. Got what I paid for in the end but more hassle than necessary. Pretty good deals here and there probably because over stock because nobody pays staples prices these days with so many alternatives to purchasing cheaper office supplies at discount chains (i.e. Walmart etc.). Only go here for printing paper on sale and to dig around clearance area for way cheap deals! read more

This store has the BEST customer service!! We had an issue with 2 printers a few months ago and the Manager, Dale, was so helpful! We ended up returning them and using an old one until it died and bought a new one. Staples policy - find it cheaper elsewhere and they honor the lower price. In fact they will do the search for you to find the lower price. The printer I wanted was listed for $169 and Dale found it less online for $129. It's the same for ink cartridges - thank you, Alec, for your help! This store is my go-to for all business supplies and great customer service. Way to go team! read more

If I could give this store 0 stars I would in a heartbeat. My son brought his phone in there to have a broken screen repaired. He gave it to Geri at the repair desk. Geri told us that the phone could not be repaired and that they would be ordering us a new one. Almost 2 months went by, we kept calling and going in there and got 1 excuse after another as to where the phone was. When we finally were told that the phone was going to be delivered, we went to pick it up only to find out that it was a used phone that didn't even have a SIM card. Essentially a useless phone. Besides that we had given them $200 for the repair and a liquid screen protector. The manager, Dale, was completely rude, condescending and no help whatsoever. He basically told me that there was nothing he could do about it. Now the story gets even better. I took the phone because I could see that they weren't willing to provide good customer service in any way, shape or form. I then went to AT&T to get a new SIM card only to now find out that it was a locked phone and wasn't even an AT&T phone!!! Again....completely useless!!! Went back to Staples and told this to Dale.....he said that the computer said it was an AT&T phone and again there was nothing he could do about it! I'm now waiting to hear from the regional manager, I only hope he understands customer service because the employees at the Orange store in Tustin clearly DO NOT. read more

Cannot trust these guys. I made a mistake with the credit card I used and recognized the problem before signing. The clerk assured me that if I signed he could then void out the transaction and use another card. I was hesitant to do so since a signature completed the transaction but they assured me they would be able to void the transaction. After I signed he said he the transaction could not be voided. I responded with so you guys were wrong about being able to do this. Their response was "no, we were not wrong". What? Long time customer for business and personal purchases. Well what can I say. I love staples but the hole getting insurance thing is a joke. I got a real good price on some printers that I got to give as Christmas gifts and I got the insurance because they told me that they would replace the printers if anything would happen. Well one of them stop working I come in to get it replaced and they tell me that I got to go through the insurance and the insurance will just give me my money back so I can get another printer. But I got the printer for a good price before Christmas now it's at regular price so now I look like a full with my Christmas gift because I can't afford to get that printer at regular price. I told the guy at staples that I thought I got a good product for a great price and now I am with out a printer. He told me that it must of not been that good of a product since it doesn't work anymore. I guess that says a lot about staples and the products that they have. I know that I get my money back but I got the insurance because I thought they would replace the printer. read more
