This Staples always has very friendly and helpful staff that will assist you in all your needs. Great selection with well stocked merchandise line the shelves. Back corner of the store has awesome deals on items marked down for clearance. Parking lot is shared with others popular merchants/restaurants, so, parking can be difficult at popular times. And the parking stalls are sized for compact sized vehicles. read more

This Staples store is always nearly empty when I visit. Indeed, physical locations are becoming a dying breed. But it's well staffed and offers a variety of services you may need including Amazon returns and electronics recycling, in addition to the merchandise they sell. They have a big parking lot but it's shared with the Mitsuwa Japanese market and a few popular restaurants so it can be hard to find parking on the weekends. read more

Horrible experience. Second staples I went to as Amazon had sent me there to do a return. Employee coldly told me they have "system issues" and aren't doing Amazon returns. Absolutely terrible customer service. I've come here before and had a great experience so maybe it was just this lady having a bad day. I was here to return an Amazon package and I'm waiting in the area where I was directed to go to. The woman in the area lets me stand there for a good 5 minutes before saying "we don't have anyone so it's going to be a long wait." There was the usual girl at the printing station and instead of saying "I'll be right with you" she let me stand in line until I politely asked if someone would be able to help me with a return. I had 7 items to return but apparently only 5 returns allowed in 1 shipment. I'm okay with that but instead of leading me to other options I had to ask what my other return options were. I went to return an Amazon package because it said they would provide the packaging. I was returning a car cover in it carrying bag, but the person behind the counter, Jessica, informed me that my return was too big because even though it would easily fit in the box that was sitting there, she said she could not send only one thing back in the box??? Jessica told me that I would have to buy my own box. When I asked her for help to find one, she stated that because this was an Amazon return, she would not help me find anything or come out from behind the counter. I found a box the same as the one she would not use, paid $5 for the box and another employee helped me box and tape my return. Stopped by this Staples today to drop off some Amazon packages. Instructions were pretty clear & there is a stand up display in the front of the store indicating where to go for returns. AC helped us out in the photo center, wrapping & scanning all the items. He also gave us two coupons on future orders! There weren't many people that were in the store which was nice because I was able to take my time going down each aisle. Every store associate asked if I needed help finding anything which was great. Parking is pretty easy & they share a parking lot with a ton of different stores! People that work at this store are the most uncaring people I have ever seen!! I drove 40 minutes to this place twice. One time I arrived at 4:50 PM for TSA pre check ( they told me it's too late even though my application and everything was complete)- OK I UNDERSTAND I WAS LATE. Today I went there again and drove a very long way to get there early at 4:20 PM. There was no one at the TSA station. I asked one of the workers if someone could pleases help me there and they said the person in charge of that area left early today due to personal reasons. I asked if there was another person that could help as I drove a long way to get here and they said no. I just find it crazy that this store has no backup person and just let people leave early...I will never go back to this store and not recommend it to anyone. Crazy how things have evolved and how many brick and mortar stores have closed in the last 10 years. I'm guilty to contributing to that because I tend to shop online. Prices are usually better, it is much more convenient, and it is quite easy (sometimes, too easy). Probably the only time I shop at a brick and mortar is when I need an item right away. This Staples is located right next to Mitsuwa. I came here because I needed something for school. The store is clean and it is very easy to find whatever it is that you may need. I found my presentation portfolio within a few minutes. I spent another 10 minutes looking around the store. I didn't really need anything else. I love technology, so I tend to look at laptops and electronics. I went to pay for my item and the cashier was friendly and personable. I'd definitely return if there was something I needed that Target or Walmart didn't have. First of all, they're supposed to open at 9am and they both showed up 10 min late with absolutely no cares given. Even with an appointment you will have to wait and most times lose the appointment. There were about 10 people with an appointment for 9:00 am? WHAT? Only one representative working at the time while the other is writing down names and discouraging you from staying if you're a walk-in. The young man has an "I hate my job" face 100% of the time. They'll ask to verify your document(s) but also how you're paying... and you MUST show the card or cash or whatever it is or else you will be told to return. Absolutely ridiculous. They have a TSA pre check enrollment here !! You register on TSA's website and then finish the process at this Staples location. They're located in the very back (left hand side). The parking can be tight during peak hours as they share this shopping center with Mitsuwa and Starbucks. There was a Staples employee who greeted me upon entry and let the TSA guy know I was here for an appointment. The process was straight forward and seamless. I was done in about 15 minutes. Don't accept Amazon returns. Their system is "not currently working". I walked in with my arms full and went directly to the Amazon return counter. A girl at the print center counter just looked at me and let me stand there. She didn't say anything. After waiting a while, I looked around a little bit. On the counter is a very bland unassuming sign on white paper with maybe 20something point font that says something to the effect effect of "not taking Amazon returns due to system error". They should train their employees to say something instead of letting a customer stand there for ten minutes and waste their time. read more

Why didn't I find out about this location sooner. What a total lost, I never seen any Staples that had this highest level of customer service. Normally I would go to FedEx to get my stuffs printed out, costed me average of $1.45 per print, my size are 8.5x11 mostly, had to be mat finish. But here I came in and asked for the same print, this employee was so chill, he helped me thru everything in less than a minute, then I asked him how much did I owe him, he said nothing, wow. There is a line queued up. Whats the point of making an appointment if you have to wait? The employees that work for TSA pre-check here are really unprofessional and lack customer service skills (read: they lack HUMAN skills). If I wanted to be helped by a robot, I would seek that out. The employees were rude even though I was on time (actually early). They lack efficiency, regard for people's time, and professionalism. They live to clock in and clock out. *DO NOT BRING YOUR AMAZON RETURNS HERE* I have been dropping off my Amazon returns to Kohl's but have lately discovered that Staples is also taking returns. Since this location is more convenient for me than the Kohl's I used to go so I want to try it out. I would expect that the return experience is on par with that of Kohl's but the expectation just falls apart. Firstly, the staff is seemingly unwilling to help. Secondly, I was being told that they can't take the original Amazon packaging and I should take the item out to return with them? I have never needed to do that with Kohl's drop off service. Arrived and found that they ignored the TSA appointments and closed the check for Juneteenth. Came back a few days later to do the appointment as a walk in and was told I would have to wait for hours. This review is for the TSA pre-check. I had a 12:50 appointment. Update: I just left. 3:00 The actual time it took to process was less than 5 minutes. Update: it's 1:45 and the guy working this let us know he's going on his 30 min. break and it will likely be another hour and a half until we are helped. We have been instructed to make another appointment if we can't wait. I arrived early to see about 10 other people waiting. The gentleman working finished with one couple to come out and tell us he is taking 2 more people before he goes on his 30 minute break. It's now 1:15 and he hasn't taken the second person in yet. All of the customers waiting are annoyed because they all have appointments and none of us will be seen within an hour (if that) of our scheduled appointments! Do not recommend! read more

He assisted me for about an hour while I was designing business cards for Lifes A Beach Camps San Diego (shameless plug) - I was like a SDSU sorority girl trying to pick out a color for my mani pedi before getting a pumpkin spiced latte from Starbs! I was like change this font, pick this color, make this design I was a picky chick ! He was patient and helped suggest the bomb ass business cards for our volleyball clinics Saturday 9:30-11 and 11:00-12:30 and Tuesday 6:00-7:30 pm - (more plugs) anyway he was spot on with the design and I even laminated my COVID double vaccination card. They made 750 cards for me same day and even called and emailed me when they were ready! Solid customer service at this store and very clean and organized. I will go back to get an A frame made for $300 for the beach volleyball camps very reasonably priced for what you get. Definitely come here but don't go to in n out across the street too many cars.
