I come here because I don't have a printer so I just email them to their printer, print, and pay. The paper is actually pretty decent quality and a little thick so also a little bit more pricey. I came recently to print letters for my man. I came when I was pregnant and created my own little baby shower decor and I just love it here. It's much bigger so just feels more open and less crowded then if I were to go to UPS you know. They also have so much office items! They also do great signs and other personalized items! Worst customer service experience. We were told TSA services were closed from 1:00-1:30 PM, so we came back at 2:15 PM expecting it to be available only to be told the employee was on lunch. So what was the point of telling us it reopens at 1:30 if no one is actually there to help? Completely misleading and a total waste of our time. No coordination, no accountability, and zero respect for customers. If your service depends on staff availability, then communicate it properly instead of sending people on unnecessary trips. I was nervous to come back since I had a poor experience a couple of weeks ago. But this time I called to make sure amazon returns was open. Arrived at around 6pm on a Wednesday, and there was no line. Was scanned and done with my returns in a couple of minutes. They also have a UPS Drop off point, so was able to drop off a pre-labeled package there as well. Of note, there also seems to be a party city and a donut shop inside, so it seems like they're trying to achieve "run all your errands at once, here" which I don't hate. read more

There for a half hour and not a single employee asked if there are any issues or if anything they could go and do to help. I used to order products online and pick them up at this store. I'd show my printed email receipt indicating who I am and what I ordered. It was always a smooth transaction. But one night I arrived and gave my paper work to an older associate (black lady) and she asked me who I was and what I ordered. I replied it's all the receipt I handed you. She could not find my name or proof that I already paid for the item. Finally a younger associate completed my order/transaction. I complained online and was told we will advise you of our decision. Today, I visited this Staples location to complete Amazon returns and waited patiently in the designated Amazon return line with several customers ahead of me. While we were waiting, the employee assisting customers, Denzel, repeatedly took customers from a different checkout line instead of acknowledging or assisting those of us waiting for Amazon returns. Over the course of approximately 10 minutes, the Amazon return line continued to grow with no communication or explanation. After waiting for an extended period, I politely asked if we were going to be helped. Denzel responded by asking whether I was "spending money today." I was confused by this response and asked what that had to do with the situation, as we had been waiting our turn. He repeated the question again. When I answered that I was not making a purchase, he responded with "exactly." At that point, other customers in the Amazon return line also began expressing their frustration. When it was finally my turn, I asked to speak with a manager. Denzel stated that he was the manager and refused to provide the name of a supervisor, instead telling me to call customer service. When I questioned whether he had a superior, he threatened to refuse my return altogether if I continued to "cause problems." I do not believe that calmly requesting a manager to raise a concern constitutes causing a problem. My wife and I are frequent customers at this Staples location, but due to this experience, we will now choose to shop at another store, even if it requires additional travel. I also noticed that similar concerns about this employee appear in prior reviews, which suggests this may be an ongoing issue. This location has been my "go-to" for ten years. I've had superior customer service on numerous laptops. I'm a dinosaur and have created problems with my gear. The tech services department had been patient, committed to excellent customer service. When a replacement item was needed, I've been presented with intelligent affordable solutions. This place continually struggles to process Amazon returns correctly, employees lack the training and will take your items and not process the returns. If you do a return here ensure that you are requesting a paper copy of the receipt that way you are guaranteed it was completed. Mission Valley Staples that I go to for the many things that I need at home and my computer and camera needs to find the many sales they have monthly and the new items you may find other places at higher value. Staples Mission Valley has been the store where they treat you like family helping with the larger or if you need business cards done a certain style and the graphics you may need and the best prices which other stores can't beat the pricing. For what is the best places where you can take the day and bring your son or daughter with the store location has the best things for kids when it comes to paints and school supplies. Customer service can be said in one word is the word Staples the store which I have gone for my travel needs to get certain and the much-needed notebooks for the many hours of notes for the important things. Shopping at Staples has been one of the best stores to save money and you can test the many products there in the store to see how pens write and get the info on the needed toner inks. The many times that I have called upon the staples store and ordered things they have always contacted me back informing me that my printed orders were ready and to be picked up by a certain time to me that is great service. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer there are many stores that I have shopped in and visited there have been some that had the best service and there were some that was horrible. Came for a TSA Appt. MARCH 8, 2025 No line, perfect. Showed up 5 mins early. Checked in & was directed to sit on display chairs for sale while we waited for our appt at 6pm. Upon getting called over, my teenage daughter & husband accompanied me. As we approached Jeanne told my husband "he cannot be here". I curiously asked "oh, why is that?" confused as he was apart of our party. Jeanne replied "I have a choice due to Covid!" What in the woooooorld! Just stop. Refer to today's date, puh-lease. Confused I said "Covid?" Jeanne then said to me "if you don't like it, then you can go to another location for your appt." Ok, ok you're kidding me right?!.... My husband walks 6ft away & Jeanne looks at him & legit says "you can't be here!!!!!" Ok, now you're going too much Jeanne. I ask her, "if you're so worried about Covid, where's your mask, where's your hand sanitizer? You do know you're working in public right?" She ignores me & proceeds with setting up. I look over to see the manager Denzel & ask him why can't my husband stand next to me? He said "it's for privacy reasons". Ok, so it's not because of Covid? Je replied "no. TSA has privacy rules". Jeanne steps in & says "it's my choice & it's for Covid concerns". Ma'am we are just breathing. We aren't sick or anything. WTH? I then tell my daughter: "don't cough or sneeze or else you're going to get in trouble" & Jeanne legit turns around & says to me: "don't talk about me behind my back!" I waited at the desk to process a Happy Return for over 10 minutes while I watched employees chatting and helping other customers who arrived after me and needed printing assistance. When I walked over to the registers and asked the manager who could assist me, he directed me back to the desk and said the one staff member at the print center would be helping me. I guess I expected a manager who is standing there doing nothing else but chatting with staff to help me, but he apparently isn't part of customer service. I don't often go to Staples for business supplies, but since I need business cards for my clinic on short notice and at a good price, I rely on Staples because of the potential same day printing for business cards. Other places like Canva or Vistaprint take more than a week for less cards and at a higher cost. This is a no-brainer, Staples charges $30 for 500 business cards and you can get them the same day for pickup or the next day if you order them later in the day. Avery is the person I've encountered both times I've used the service and she has great memory and provides great customer service. I'm just picking up my order that I've place online, but the short amount of time interacting with her bubbly personality has made me give this location a 5 star review. Ever since I used tru red pens at work, I have become absolutely obsessed with them! So when I saw that the 12 pen boxes were on sale, I went to the nearest staples to buy them. Unfortunately, they were out of the boxes in black pens but Jonathan told me that they'll subsidized the big boxes for the same price! I couldn't believe my luck! Tried to use there print department for work twice left without being helped learned my lesson won't return to this location again

I came in to this location to have a 2 page document printed which I had already sent to their @printme.com email. Instead of using the regular paper at the print station I wanted it printed on premium paper so I asked the representative behind the counter to print it for me. She proceeded to tell me that she cannot print it because she has multiple orders that she's working on. Keep in mind my request (which I have come to this store many times for in the past) takes a total of 3 minutes or less including checking out. She flat out refuses to print my document and tells me that I can speak to her manager. The supervisor by the name of Sean comes over and he is by far the most arrogant, condescending, and unhelpful associate I have ever encountered at Staples. He proceeds to ask the same associate who refused to print my document if she can print it and she refuses again. I asked the supervisor if he could print it and he said he did not know how to do that. I guess there is no basic cross training taking place in this store or company. The amount of time it took for both of them to argue with a customer could have been utilized to just print the document. The customer service or lack thereof I received is simply baffling. Imagine going into a place of business as a paying customer and refusing to assist because you lack skill or simply do not want to interrupt what you are working on. Ridiculous! read more

Free laminate for your Covid-19's vaccination record card, I brought my Mother's card in to get it done, as she had got the booster shot as well; the employee here will direct you to printing and marketing service, very quick and easy, the person there even explained to me whether or not I wanted to have it laminated because there was a sticker on the card that might created some blackness after lamination, I told him as long as it won't get faded then it should be fine. This place is the WORST. The employees are so lazy and have no idea what customer service is plus Staples pricing in general is no where near competitive. I come in here to shop as a small business owner and recently I started doing my Amazon returns here as well to just make it a one stop shop. last week when I went here, I literally had a staples employee told me they wouldn't take all of my returns. Not because the system wouldn't allow it because they had a "policy" that limited the amount of returns that they could do at a store and she told me I needed to go to another store to do the remainder of my returns. In other words we're just too lazy to take all of your returns. Today as I'm waiting in line it's me and one other lady who came after me. The employee Denzel literally says are you doing a return or purchase and I said I'm doing a return and he says "I'll take you" and points to the other lady and she even commented and said she was here first. I can't say enough about this staples and their printing service staff! After losing my brother and dealing with the stress of planning a memorial they truly gave me something to be thankful for. I thought these post cards would be the hardest part of memorial planning but they brought me the most gratitude thanks the amazing staff and service of this staples. To start the supervisor Adrian went out of her way to send me not only a very descriptive email but also a voicemail explaining what changes I needed to make in my media to format properly. I was impressed with the effort she took to help me. After that it was smooth sailing and my order was ready within hours! The end result was beautiful and perfect! Everyone loved them and I passed on my reference to this staples. When I realized I needed more I was able to call them and they looked up the order number and had another smaller set ready within hours. When I arrived it said it was complimentary/paid. He was unwilling to ask for additional help, even though I just ordered an item a month ago & told me that it's not in the system and it's too late to return even though it has never been used. I didn't know how or where to start so I went to the printing service area where I found Carol sitting opening mail. I could tell she didn't want to acknowledge me and from far away she asked with a very annoyed voice "can I help you?" I didn't want to speak about my matter loud so I asked if she could come to the counter. She was so annoyed that I had to ask if I was bothering her. I just couldn't be there for another second. I reported her behavior to management and left. I know I'm going through grief, and I don't know what she's going through in her life, but I would never have such a bad attitude toward a customer. I had a very last minute print job for a funeral program. We learned that if we wanted to do a showing, the venue required the service to be within 7 days of passing. This put us in an incredibly stressful time crunch to design the materials and print hundreds of copies, on top of it being Christmas Eve-Eve, we thought we were out of luck. I called around to different print stores and was discouraged time and time again. I finally called Staples in Mission Valley and immediately explained the situation to Avery. She handled with kindness, understanding, and urgency. I have no idea how she did it, but she definitely sacrificed her time to get the 500 programs to us in less than 24 hours. My family was in tears and are forever grateful for Avery's professionalism and accommodation in our time of need.
