So, I stood next in line for over 20 minutes at the print center. Then 3 people came in behind me. There are 2 staff behind the counter, each helping a customer. Then while helping a customer, the staff asks is anyone there to pick up and 2 different customers behind me says that they are. I say I'm here for a print me for labels that I can't load in the machines myself so I have to go to the counter. They take the First Lady, and they messed up her order, so she's being serviced for another 10 minutes before she says she'll come back because she has things to do and they can't find part of her order. Then they take the 2 couple. Then they finally get to me. Then they say they aren't doing 1-hour service today. WHICH THEY COULD HAVE LET ME KNOW WHEN I SAID INWAS THERE FOR A PRINT ME. And waited in this store for 40 minutes or so!!!!!!! Some people don't have customer service. And others just weren't taught. Either way, they should have taken people in order. Trying to shorten the line, the other pick ups took longer than me and I was in the store, next in line, for 30 minutes before they walked in!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I interviewed for the Print supervisor position with the general manager Anthony and the interview went very well. I had tons of experience with management and retail for over 10 years beyond satisfactory customer service skills and he told me awesome. Make sure you fill out the application online and look out for the emails. I follow up with them a couple days later and he tries to tell me to fill out a different position that pays two dollars less after we talked about in the interview how we're in it for the money and prices of everything are skyrocketing, and the money is what matters and how he was discussing that none of the team really liked him and a big chunk of the staff left when he was announced manager and I see why now he can't do what he says. He's flip-flopping like a fish with his decisions he's not solid, and what he says, and that's very upsetting for a potential employee, so not only did he tell me that a big chunk of the staff left when he was selected his manager but now me experiencing a little bit of what was going on it's very upsetting very manipulative. read more

This Staples is the worst I have ever been in! The service is horrible! The staff spends more time joking around and worrying about themselves than they do about their customers. Lines at the registers are needlessly long and forget about asking for help. Everyone is "busy helping someone else" even though the store is empty! No wonder! I'm giving Staples 4 stars even though most of the time I am annoyed as crap by the time I leave the store. Its the check-out that gets me. Its always so damn slow, and apparently, the employees are trained to ignore you when you are in line. I can't tell you how many times I'm standing there waiting for the guy in front of me to get his finger out of his... and the other checker just disappears. Literally disappears into thin air. Don't know how they do that. Ok so its 4 stars because the store is laid out very well. It is clean and organized. It is close to home and convenient. The copy center is pretty decent and gets their stuff done when they promise it. And, I happen to love office supplies. What can I say? I'm strange that way. And, contributing to the 4 star experience is their sales on computers. Don't spread this around too much, but after school starts, like after all the back-to-school rushing and such, they have a big clearance sale on laptops and I get a great deal on stuff. A tale of two Staples stores: This Staples is the one closest to my Glendora office. Love it! Yesterday Steven and Ashley were a huge help. The other times I've visited this store, I've received great service from this team. Staples needs to figure out what this team is doing right, and replicate it at their other stores. By comparison, the Staples closest to my LA office, on San Fernando Rd, has sporadic service at best. Sometimes, I'll get great service from managers, but the service at the copy station is terrible. I actually had to leave this store and find service elsewhere after the one person covering copies was being completely unhelpful, and I told her as much. read more

Okay, This location probably has the best employee in California! Victoria in the copy center was very helpful, friendly, and just awesome. I rarely write reviews, but this kind of service, friendliness, and professionalism really needs to be noticed. Victoria has helped me many times and is just great. She knows her stuff, always helpful, and friendly. It's my hope that Staples knows what a great employee she is! She went out of her way to help me with my Christmas card order, helping me fix a mistake I made, and making sure it was done quickly. I came to get TWO pieces of paper printed and laminated and they told me it would be ready by 7:30pm, its 1pm now. For TWO papers??? Ok fine then just print them on thicker paper......NOPE! That was a special order too!! Ok fine, just print them on regular paper and I'll cut them with your paper cutter. HAHAHA YOU THOUGHT!! NOPE! NO PAPER CUTTER EITHER!! Omg!! Then I said ok I'll print it myself on thicker paper on the machines in the self serve area, LMAO NOT TODAY YOU WON'T! YOULL HAVE TO BUY A FULL REAM OF PAPER FOR TWO SHEETS!!! Oh and did I forget to mention that the people at the counter were chit chatting away while I just stood there waiting for someone to help?? I know I'm not entitled to anything for free but the least they could have done was say hey we'll cover the $0.33 it costs to print your TWO sheets of paper for your troubles but nope not that either. It's going to cost this store more to lose a customer than it would have if they had given me some friggin paper and a paper cutter. read more

Told her what I was looking at, price range, BAMM! had two choices, that were better and cheaper than I imagined, Im sitting in my new chair that only took 20 hours to arrive at my house....yea she ordered in on line, got me discounts, etc. I was told maybe a week, 20 hours....dang. I've gotten stuff printed here before and it's all turned out. They have staffed the place with calm people that give excellent service. The reason I'm writing today is this: Jessica tried to help the customer after me but the order wasn't ready. The customer was unhappy but Jessica stayed calm even after the woman called her a liar. An outside department needed to be called and Jessica waited on hold. It was obvious she was on hold but the customer continued to be angry. Staples hires actual saints people, you can see them in the copy and print department! read more

In and out for self printing. Very easy to use and helpful service. I didn't like they make u pay $5 fee (pre authoritization) but say they assure you only what you print will be charged to your account. Well, they were quick to charge me the $5, but they put it back days later. Smh. $5 really?! I would suggest you go to fed ex instead. Only pay what u print. No extra usage fee. read more

Another poorly managed store. This store is NOT understaffed. There are plenty of employees puttering around, stocking , scanning things, and totally ignoring the very few customers in the store. This will be the next Staples to go away. Remember to never blame the minimum waged as these associates are severely under-motivated by their leadership (If you can call it that). Girl behind the printing area was helping a guy out when she literally just asked me "You have a question or a pick up" Sounded all mad lol. When I said I just had a question she just got on her walky talky and asked for back up... Guy came thru, He was a special employee because he was wearing black, Seemed unhappy too... I used to love this Staples and I've been printing stuff here for a loooong time! All of a sudden today, the card stock I've always used is "reserved for online orders only". If I had known this, I would have submitted an online order yesterday, but now I can't wait until tomorrow...I was only printing 5 pages and I just purchased my regular card stock in-store last week!...Another stupid policy: I also wanted to BUY 5 sheets of card stock without printing on it. I was willing to pay full price, but I was told I couldn't buy it unless I print something on it! And I can't print something on it from my phone because it needs to be a Word document or jpeg file. So I'd need to drive home, make a file with a tiny dot or single letter I the corner, email it to them, and then drive back to pick it up....I think it might be time end my long relationship with this store. Update: I came back tonight (stupid me) and I can't get anything printed on photo paper now because the only machine that will print on photo paper is broken. When I asked to speak to a manager, I expected him to say with a smile "Hi I'm Daniel and I'm the manager. How can I help you?"...Not even close! I had to ask him if he was the manager and he said "yeah" and then just kept on doing what he was doing. The staff here is almost always rude and unhelpful. We are never greeted, told "we'll be right with you", manners are non-existent along with eye contact. Most of my visits here the staff congregates and talks among themselves instead of offering any sort of customer service. I only come here when I absolutely cannot make the drive to FedEx Office for my business needs. I highly recommend anyone to go elsewhere especially if you wanted any sort of customer service assistance. read more

Needed 3 cartridges of Cannon ink for my printer. This stuff ain't cheap. I checked out Bestbuy and Walmart. Bestbuy is $2 more per cartridge over both Staples and Walmart, who had the same price. Got what I needed at Staples. There were no long lines and 10% back. $ 2 if you return empty cartridges, which I didn't know about. Staples was easy and the price was the best which was not what I expected. Good store! read more

Nothing too exciting at this location. Customer service is OK, nothing too special (bad or good). I came in to get a poster copied and the guy in the copy center seemed a little frazzled. He wasn't overly friendly but her wasn't rude either, just blah. They didn't have a copier big enough to copy my poster, but they did suggest that I check with Kinkos (bonus points in my book). I wouldn't come here for school supplies because I'm sure Target is cheaper (you could go to Walmart, but I wouldn't). If I need specific supplies, Staples is the place to go for me. read more

This place really needs to figure out what "copyright" means. I needed a map laminated, not copied, nothing done to it to manipulate it in any way, simply laminate it. I was told no, it's copyrighted therefore there's nothing they could do for me. I will give this much credit to them, they allowed the lamination to be done the next day and said they would talk to and train the misinformed employee. read more
