If I could give 0 stars. Long story short: 12:30 pm I ordered a print online. 1:30 pm I go to pick it up, She can't find the order and asks for a confirmation number for which I had to drive back home to get due to technical difficulties . A series of unfortunate events happen : Running a stop sign/speeding ticket 2:05pm I get back to Staples flustered but with the confirmation numbers. She says " Oh where did you go? I found it" and passes the task off to the associate. 2:07pm I ask the associate " Can you please print it on cardstock" It says " But your order doesn't say cardstock." I reply "I Know, The website wasn't giving me the option, so I figured, when I get to the store, I will just ask the associate to correct the order for me. It says " That's a whole other order" I say " Yes" It says " So do you want me to make another order so it can print on cardstock?" I said "Please" It proceeds to work on the computer and creating the new order. 2:15pm It prints the paper and I make the transaction. As I pick up the paper there is Hand Sanitizer on the back. I ask for another copy. "Sure thing" It agrees to print another copy but first begins to search for towels and cleans the hand sanitizer off the table. "Hey how about I clean the table and you print my paper? I'm in a hurry and I've been trying to get this document since 1:30pm, help me help you" I exclaim. The manager walks over. 2:20pm "What is the matter" -Manager. It begin to explain the situation and I interrupt " Hey how about I explain the story and someone prints the paper or can we walk and talk this through I really need my document I'm suppose to be on the road" 2:30pm The Manager tries to print from one computer and as time is passing, she then goes to another computer to print. 2:37pm I then ask " Are you able to complete this order or should I go somewhere else?" Defensively, she says " The computer was frozen, I can't control that." I reply " I'm not frustrated because the computer is frozen, or because of something you can't control. I'm frustrated due to you not communicating to me the fact that the computer is frozen and the amount of time that has passed. "Oh its printing now. This computer works" 2:40pm I receive FINALLY my paper. "Would you like another copy? " -Manager "You know what? I'm good. But thank you for offering" FINAL EXIT There are so many moments in this scenario where the staff could have been proactive at creating a better experience or even making it better but the lack of initiative, communication, leadership skills, efficiency, courtesy and the list can continue was greatly disappointing. When I have excellent customer service. I must acknowledge it I know it's not easy dealing with the public so when I encounter someone with incredible customer service, it cannot be passed up without acknowledgment . I purchased business cards online. Once the cards were printed they did not look anything like I thought they would when I design them online I spoke with Sarah, which was extremely patient and kind. She helped me and I was so grateful, everyone that I encountered at that location was amazing and once I talk to the GM which I think his name is Larry, I hope I'm not mistaken. He was absolutely amazing. I work with a nonprofit called Wherewithal Development Foundation and we focus on housing the homeless, and he was an amazing help to me and our cause and I'm very grateful for the experience I had at Staples, not to mention I had an excellent greeter,if I'm not mistaken. It is extremely infuriating to me that the restrooms have been closed since October of last year (possibly earlier) due to so-called "plumbing problems." Yesterday, I visited the store and the restrooms were still closed for the same reason with the same disgusting unprofessional-looking piece of cardboard announcing that there were "plumbing problems." I love this store, I do work here so it may seem like i'm biased but it doesn't change the fact that the staff here is incredible. We give our best efforts to accommodate every customer accordingly and as best as possible. Sherry is amazing and such a joy to work with, she really puts all of her customers first. Bryan is an excellent store manager, very courteous, knowledgable, and will not hesitate to do everything he can to make sure you are satisfied. Michael is a tech genius and can tell you everything you need to know about computers, printers, shredders, etc.. Lita is a sweetheart and will try to help you in any way possible. Lizbeth is an awesome associate and so courteous to everyone, her laugh is contagious! Julian is very patient, knowledgable, and great with customers, he'll make sure you are getting any type of print job done. Sarah is the brains of the copy center, she will do everything she can to get you what you need. Larry the General manager is really a great guy, he knows all the ins and outs of Staples like the back of his hand and makes sure his customers and associates are taken care of. We really do have such a great staff and even though we get really busy sometimes we try to make sure everyone is being helped or has been attended to and leaves Staples feeling good and assured that they made the right choice coming to this location. Worst printing service ever. Never seen people who actively do not want to help people like this staff. Ok, it was busy, but they are so rude. I usually do not give bad reviews for businesses but the things I heard them saying to people on 12/21/2020 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm was just plain rude. I heard them tell one older gentleman "how are you asking me for help when you can't even find your file? Figure out how to find you file, then get in line." This was from a tall guy employee with a brown ponytail. When I first got there, I was asking the first short black-haired man how I can print something out and he goes "read the sign." I told him that I read it and I need my print resized so I thought I needed to talk to someone. He then said, "read the sign. It tells you everything." I came in today after being quarantined way before the Covid-19 virus even came about. I had my mask and gloves on...very wary at the fact that I'm asian, with a mask, with gloves and Covid-19 virus going around; staffs members aren't even giving me a dirty look. I had a gentleman that jumped and immediately helped me look for printer ink with no hesitation whatsoever. Thank you sir!!! I proceeded to the cashier and she was a sweetheart!! I came in this evening to just print something, sign it, and scan it back to myself and Melissa H. In the Copy Center was amazing! She turned my entire day around! She went above and beyond her job duties, she was basically my therapist for however long the process took. Of course she was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed done, but I feel like it's really difficult to find great customer service nowadays, and I guess I found where it's all been hiding, with Melissa at Staples in Cypress. Even after specifically asking about the printing capabilities, being laughed at and assured we were using the correct machine, we ended up wasting our time. When I went it was very busy in the copy center. However, the team was great. Sarah is wonderful! She is professional, knowledgable, patient and kind (even when she has a rude customer which I witnessed). A young man Will was there helping out. I was impressed with his caring about the customers and that he spoke Spanish to an older Hispanic woman. That was great to see. Michael came in to help out for a minute and he was nice too. I happened to be there at a time when there were many people needing help with complicated orders, so it took longer than I expected. Basically you are held hostage because there aren't very many office supply stores anymore. I have been trying to get through to the store to find out if a small lamination job was complete before I drive to the store. I finally got through using the Tech Support option and the person who answered went to check for me. There used to be an option to reach the print area directly but I looks like that has gone away. I know that area is busy but there should be a way to reach someone somewhere without having to wait on the line for 15 minutes. read more

Went in to print, prices are ludicrously high (.49c/black and white page) and it charged my colored print prices for some pages that were only black and white. Additionally some of the pages printed out came out completely decompressed even though the file sizes were scaled to the page. For .49c/Page, clear printing shouldn't be an issue. It's a good place to find some of your your basic office essentials, but they don't have a large selection of things in stock a lot of times. A lot of stuff they don't carry in stock, I wind up having to go to a different store further away. Overall friendly workers but need more stock and selection of different supplies. read more
