PRINTING HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. as many other reviews here state, the dude with the man bun in the printing department is HORRIBLE. him and the short girl were both being super passive aggressive to myself and all the other customers there, even though no one was being rude to them. i had ordered a banner and after waiting an hour in the store for it to print, it came out on the wrong size paper. the guy said the bigger paper was all they had and the cutter is too small to trim it so there was essentially nothing they could do. not a huge deal, i wish someone could've told me that an hour ago so i didn't waste my time, but whatever. but when i started asking questions to try and understand what happened, dude went ballistic. he had no patience and was EXTREMELY rude and hostile. he raised his voice at me and caused a scene threatening to cancel my order because i'm "badgering his associates" ??? when literally all i did was ask a couple questions trying to understand why my order was messed up and what to do from here. i even said multiple times, "i'm not trying to be difficult i'm just trying to understand what happened..." etc. then the short girl tried to blame it on me saying it printed that way because i placed my order wrong and she would show me the ticket to prove it. but when she did, my ticket had the correct dimensions on it. so at least get your facts straight if you're gonna yell at customers... bottom line is don't work in customer service if you're gonna take everything personally and be a d*ck to everyone you interact with for no reason. i work in retail myself and i have NEVER treated a customer the way i was treated tonight. i was polite to him and tried to be nothing but respectful and problem-solving and i was met with pure hostility and a disgusting attitude. i have awful social anxiety and cried my entire drive home. i cannot believe this guy is still allowed to work here, especially after seeing how many other people on here have had similar experiences. i hope someone in charge takes these reviews seriously and will take some action, because his behavior was absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. shout out to the manager that i spoke to afterwards who apologized for him and said he'd write a report. young male, i think either african-american or mixed. only decent employee in the store tonight! read more

Nathan's the best! Came here yesterday, when I received a message about a job opening I'm really interested in. I was in a panic since I was informed at the last minute. I needed to fill out some document and send it back to the company. I knew I had the document on my USB, but I didn't know where they were to print them out. Nathan was working at the Support Center. He came over to help me. He was so kind and patient! He looked through my USB, checked with me what documents were needed, and printed them out. He didn't even charge me for locating the documents! I have been helped by 4 or 5 employees here and each have been so incredibly friendly and helpful. I go in looking for some headphones. Receive some direction on the aisle they are on. Don't find what I'm looking for and then interrogated as I'm leaving the store. The tone of the conversation was accusing me of stealing. A very un-welcoming experience. Some advice: please make efforts to help your customers while they are in the store. NOT as they are leaving already unsatisfied. I was okay with them not having what I was looking for. For the past two weeks have been working at home on my laptop. For the past several days my eyes are getting more weary from using my laptop screen so I was in the market to purchase a 27in computer screen monitor. Hoping to support one of my local business, rather than ordering a screenfrom Amazon I came to my local Staples store. I was hoping to look at a few 27 inch screens but could not get any customer service. Although there were four other workers present I still couldn't get help. So on my way out the cashier apologized and credited the lack of service due to the latest covid virus cutting of hours. I have a suggestion to you business that are lucky to be open..... When a customer comes to your store to make purchases rather than just ordering online it might be a good idea to give a little customer service. So instead of being able to support my local Staples store I'll stop wasting my time and order a 27 inch screen from Amazon. Having worked at a staples for 4 years in high school and a bit in college, it always brings back good/fun memories strolling through a store. Knowing the general store layout and how things work there I tend to default to staples rather than office max or Office Depot! Prices are fair and staff is always courteous and friendly! If you go into a staples and feel like they are bugging you asking if you need help constantly, not to worry, it is how their customer service model works. Every employee is suppose to greet you, ask if you need something and personally escort you to your selections. If they aren't doing that you're not getting A+ staples service! read more

So I'm with my buddy who is on the search for a new office chair and we go in. We walk around for a little bit and then go to the chair section. We sit there checking out the chairs for a little bit and now my buddy can't decide what one he likes the best so he pulls up the reviews on his phone. Well now we are sitting in the store hanging out reading reviews on office chairs don't laugh it hasn't got funny yet. So some of these reviews are hilarious I mean like gut busting funny. So I began to roll around on the ground and my buddy is in tears when a worker comes over to see if we need help. We ask if he has a particular chair in stock and he lets us know that he does not have one in store and that they can't sell the display model. So we have him look at other locations ne'er by and they don't have one ether so he takes my buddies name and says he will call when they get one in. So now jump forward two months and after already finding a chair elsewhere we go in again. We are walking through the store and up comes the salesman and ask aren't you the two guys that where here busting up over chair reviews. To witch we say yes and then he let's us know oh by the way I found out that we will no longer be stocking the chair you where looking at. Wow ok thanks for the heads up. I had a mini emergency! so, I had to run to the nearest office store. Went into Staples to look for some Ethernet cables. Found the one that I was looking on all my own, no customer service at all. Found the cable I was looking for; a 25 foot cable at $26 dollars. Wow, what a rip off! It was the Staples brand. These cables are found on Amazon for $10. I asked for price match and of course they do not price match. No wonder these stores are getting emptier and emptier. Prices are not competitive at all and lack of customer service. read more

Twice I have been here and twice I have been disappointed. It is more worthy of your time if you go to the Office Max that is just a few blocks down the street...but let's get on to the review regardless. My last visit was on a weekday at 10:30AM. There was a woman sitting at one of the rental computers, a man in a tee shirt and pj bottoms and 2 workers behind the counter. I went in to make photocopies but the kiosk to purchase a debit card was not working. I waited about 10 minutes and then a employee helped me get a card. The card was damaged and would not work. The woman behind me could not purchase a card in spite of the machine just being fixed for me. I got back in line to be helped again...slightly cheesed by this point. Then it all hit the fan. The woman at the kiosk got kicked out of her session and she started yelling from her seat to the employee about 10 feet away. "DUDE!!! WTH?! If I don't get my 10 minutes back, I'm going to be pissed. I spent a hour on this! Hellllooooo?!" Then the pj bottomed gentleman received a call and he was telling the person on the other side of the phone that his order was supposed to have been completed at 10 and it was looking closer to 11. The employee who was cutting the laminated cards up was stone faced, as though there was not someone less than 2 feet away complaining about him. The kiosk lady is now demanding they help her and is up from her chair. The manager is paged and she's trying to put money on a card and appease the masses. One employee blames another and the manager rolls her eyes blatantly. At this point in time, I'm not even mad anymore. When someone out crazies you, it sort of puts it all in perspective. There's a entire circus in front of me. They end up comping the pj man 50% of the original price, the kiosk lady got 10 minutes back on a kiosk and I got the hell out of there!! Thanks for the good laugh and putting my "bad" day in perspective. My heart goes out to Heather, the manager...who clearly needs a better trained staff. read more

They have great selections of backpacks, computer chairs, and storage containers. This is my first stop for any backpacks and laptop bags when I am in need of one. The selection they carry are great quality and I have not seen them at other stores as in Target or Walmart. The prices for bags and cases are on the high end almost 100 dollars but the quality lasts a longtime and they never rip or have discoloration on the leathers. Their storage selections are unique sizes most of them I have never seen in other stores. I like that the lids have locks and they have wheels easy to move them around. They have coupons every now and then I would suggest to look for coupons some of the items are double the price compared to similar office supply stores. The upside to these expensive prices is that they carry so many brands and types of office supplies here that you cannot find in other stores. The workers are 50/50 they are helpful only when you ask them for help. No one will come up to you and ask if you need help even when they see you walking and looking at items in the store. For the ones that do help they are nice and tell you exactly what they carry and explains it well. They also have other services: copy center, UPS drop off, and printing station all located inside the store. They are never crowded and you can be in and out in less than 20 minutes. The parking is easy plenty of spaces anytime of the day. read more

I like visiting Staples when I am in the States. There seems to be more selection. If you walk towards the back left of the store, there is an aisle with heavily discounted items. I got Post-It notes in the shape of sunglasses (two pads) for $2.80. I also got a cell phone case that looks like a purse for $5. It even has a handle! I also signed up for Staples rewards. This place is a joke.. rudest people I have ever seen.. walked in to purchase some ink.. I was immediately greeted with a "we close in 20 minutes" not hello, not can help you find something.. just some some girl with a frown on her face.. I guess company's are really having to reach to get people to work at their establishments but this is ridiculous. After I found the ink cartridge package I required, I made the mistake of bringing it to the checkout where the same girl so kindly greeted me and upon placing the package on the counter (it's just an empty package and apparently an employee must fetch the actual cartridges from the back) she looked at the package and promptly said.. "oh I don't think we have this one".. she called someone to the front and asked another guy to see if they had it.. he came back with 5 of them. She then said "do you want all 5"? .. I said no I just want the one.. she rolled her eyes and rung it up. Suffice to say I will never step foot in the rude place again.. This is strictly for the print center at this location. I bought a Groupon for some last minute holiday cards. The team really impressed me because they noticed I messed up on the font size on my customized card I designed. They gave me a call to ask for permission to fix the issue and even printed the cards before the promised time and gave me a courtesy call for pickup. Excellent service. I went in here to buy some electronics with gift cards I obtained with my Amex points. They didn't work and had a message that said "call the president". Larry the manager came over and went out of his way to tell me that Staples was not all owned by corporate anymore and that "some of us put up a million dollars for these stores" and he's the "shot caller" as to whether or not they will take my gift cards. At this point I could only surmise that I was dealing with a huge jerk or someone delusional. When I came to Yelp and saw he had reviews that date back to 2013 I see this is a major failure on Staples behalf that this rude manager still has a job here. I walked in Staples Cypress to purchase a cover for my iPad. After looking, I asked where the covers were and an associate pointed me to the direction instead of taking me to the merchandise. Once I found what I wanted, I needed assistance from an associate to make sure the case was the right fit. I walked up to a man sitting in an isle working on some stock (so it seamed). He looked like the manager because he was the only one with a white shirt. I asked him for help with the two cases I had in my hands. Instead of getting up off his butt, he called a nearby associate to help me. The young guy that came to me was very helpful and knowledgeable about the two cases I found. He helped me chose the right case for my iPad. When I left, I thanked the young guy for helping me. I walked by the older guy (manager?) sitting on the floor and said thank you to him also. He did not respond! Rude! What an ass. I'm going to report the issue to corporate tomorrow. Sadly, stores like Staples are getting too big for their britches and care less about their customers and more about their money. I can always shop elsewhere. Makes no sense companies need to sell their own products on Amazon. When it's sold and ship from Amazon it's their on items which it cannot be the exactly the same item. Without exception, every time I make a purchase at this cypress location I get charged more for at least one item. It has become so prevalent that the cashier doesn't even ask for a price check, they just make the adjustment when you say something. I've complained to corporate and have not heard anything. Staples is running a racket at this location...hoping their customers won't double check their receipts so they can charge higher prices than what their products are listed for. I have nothing bad to say about their products, but I want to warn everyone who shops at this location to ALWAYS check their receipts! read more
