In a routine bind familiar to most computer users, critical job and ink runs out. Unable to walk so tried placing my order for curbside pickup but their website gives no option for that method even though the item I needed is in stock. Called the store direct due to being old and having no patience for having to read through a laundry list of this and that and options on their website. Best they could do was give me an 800 number, which when called merely advised me that my account could not be located. I ordered the cartridge I needed from Office Depot, it will be delivered tomorrow, not ideal but much more doable. Won't be bothering with Staples again, apparently their customer base is wide enough that they don't need to bother with streamlining their procedures to actually make ordering and delivery a simple process. read more

Hard to say something positive! I elected to save time and avoid the crazy Christmas rush and send my order to get copies made. I put the order in the day before so the store would have plenty of time to make the 25 copies. I received an email indicating the copies were ready and headed to the store. After waiting in line for 10 minutes, I then proceeded to wait while the clerk looked for the order. After much searching, and more waiting, they could not be found! They then decided to print the copies again as we waited. I am happy to pay for the product and the service as it was advertised but this bordered on the ridiculous. Almost an hour later, we left the store with copies in hand. They did provide the copies free of charge. read more

I came in to Staples with a huge corporate presentation for our executive team. It was literally a nightmare for me because I am not word or excel savvy. I asked Sequoia to help me and she was very busy but she told me she would help me after she was done helping the customers. I normally would of left, but she made me feel comfortable with her helpfulness and customer service. I then saw Carolyn come in to help and she took over to help me while Sequoia was assisting the other customers. Carolyn was fantastic! Very kind, patient, and knowledgeable in assisting me. Since my project was a little complicated, Susie also came in to help Carolyn with some tips. It was a team effort and the end result was a 10!! Better than expected!! What excellent service my husband and I received from the assistant store manager Joshua. Not only was he polite and helpful, he was very respectful. He went above and beyond what we were hoping for to resolve an issue 6 months earlier. He went out of his way to pick up a new printer for us and came to our house to install it. We had paid someone from there 6 months earlier and it's been a nightmare. Joshua however was awesome. I so recommend this store and it's service. Rich, Brandon, and Fernando really helped me out-amazing customer service! In the past, I didn't enjoy Staples as I never felt the employees were particularly helpful. It's been a while since I've been and this visit changed my mind. I thought my iPhone screen was broken (it was very cracked from multiple drops). Rich pointed out it was only the protective cover! I was ready to pay $150 for a new screen instead I went with liquid armor and a new case. Fernando, Brandon and Rich took their time to help me and made my shopping experience easy and fun. I will definitely go back to this location. They even tried to price match my phone case to find me the best deal. read more

I would have actually given "zero" stars but "1" is the lowest I can give. I went on Friday to order business cards, which I've ordered from there before, and Kimmy stated that she'd email me the next morning with the proofs for me to approve and then they'd be ready by Sunday. Saturday night (8:50pm) Daniel called me to tell me they were ready. I explained that I never received my email. He said that he didn't know about that and if I didn't like them then I didn't have to take them. I went on Sunday morning and of course the cards were wrong. One type, out of the three types, was passable, so I agreed to take that one. However, after 20 minutes of them trying to figure out how to ring it up and three of them meeting & trying to work on how to ring it up, they still hadn't been able to ring me up. During this whole time, the customer service was deplorable! I finally reached my absolute limit and walked out without any of the cards, because they couldn't figure out how to ring it up and because they were trying to avoid doing "a new ticket" (whatever that means)! Completely frustrated, I came home and called the manager, (she said her name was Alyssa) and I just got "okay" & "I'm sorry". She finally offered for me to come back again and take them for free. I reminded her that 2 out of the 3 were wrong! Also, I had no more time to waste on them to go again and take the other one which was only mediocre. If they were willing to give them to me for free, why didn't they just give me that box, since they couldn't figure out how to charge me, instead of spending 20+ minutes and still not being able to figure it out! This store used to be good & helpful, but it is RIDICULOUS how they are completely slumming it now, when it comes to quality, knowledge, and customer service! Wow talk about bad customer service at this location. Their employees don't even understand their own incentive programs. Came in to purchase printer that they advertised online under trade old printer and get up to $100 trade in on certain printers and found out my old does qualify for the incentive. I asked 2 of there employees if they honor the price match and the old printer rebate and they said yes. Go up to the register to pay for it and guess what the so call manager says you only get the price match or the trade in incentive..hmm I thought price match is price match and trade in your old printer is was extra incentive to get rid of the old printers but guess not. Than why even do the price match because by the time you end up paying your actually just giving the old printer to them free. Oh by the way I did call another staple store and spoke to a manager and they said yes we price match and also give you the discount for trading in your old printer...WTF is wrong with Chino Staple???? I guess their manager needs to go back to corporate training. Never going back to this store. They should just shut it down. read more

Im a Yoga teacher, offering certification courses, and have been getting class modules printed here for the last 4 months. I felt the service at the print center has been so helpful that I must acknowledge it here. On many occasions I've needed the modules quickly and in, seemingly, unrealistic timing, but have so far always been saved by the print team. They always greet me by first name basis, so it shows they care about where I'm coming from, and not just where I'm going. I came in Saturday, sept 14 to get a couple things printed for a friend's baby shower and needed a couple jpegs sent to me from Etsy printed off my phone. A young girl with short black hair was very rude and didn't make my experience pleasant. I told her I had a couple of jpegs from Etsy on my phone that I'd like to send over and get printed. She said I needed to get them to a flash drive and send them thru the computer. I told her I didn't have a computer and that I only had my phone on me since I was in from out of town. She brushed me off and when I was able to figure it out she said that I would have to wait until 8:30pm to pick up my prints mind you it was 11:45am. She just said ya we're busy. I asked the young man with blonde hair on top and dark hair on bottom and he really stepped up! I asked him if I was able to use the computers provided to download my prints and email it to them and he said yes and I asked well why didn't she inform me of this? Her response was, well they are just right there. At that point I was done interacting with her because she really had no interest in helping a newbie out. Anyway he helped me with getting them off my phone and sent to the store and printed RIGHT AWAY!! I didn't have to wait till 8:30 to pick them up. Dropped off a book at 10:30am and the lady Brianna (who was polite) helped me out. I was told the book wouldn't be ready until 12pm (fine no problem) she explained what I would be getting (material wise) which is great. She showed me what the price would be $32.07 & maybe cheaper. Perfect! A few books cheaper than the schools library which is why I came here. So I left her my name and number. At 3:30 I show up and my total is $57.62 (wtf) why ? Well she did the print larger etc. hmm, no thanks I could get that book for $34 and delivered to my class. I felt bad that they wasted ink and paper. Maybe next time you should call the customer and let them know there will be changes to the printing along with a different price instead of making yourself work harder. read more

I had some printing jobs that needed to be done because I'm getting married and live out of state, so walked in to staples and saw "ask us for help with your printing job" and a light went off...I can ask and pay for a professional to do this. As I sat at the counter waiting to be helped, the team was less than helpful. I watched 3 different customers leave staples because the team there wasn't able to "help". When it came to my turn, they made it so difficult, we sat there for almost 2 hours. We had to come back the next day to pick up our order and was told it would be ready by 12pm. We show up around 2 and it wasn't done. The clerk gave us a hard time asking if anyone "called" us saying it would be ready by 12 and we explained it was told to us in person. Then he messed up the job with the custom paper I bought from a different store, so we had to go back to a different store and start over. Long story short, I would never go back to staples for any printing needs. Customer service is terrible. And it was so sad seeing how difficult they were making it for the other customers before us. read more

GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE from the Printing supervisor but 3 stars because...... Well, I Came here to print and bind a large number of documents for a final project for school. There was one lady (printing supervisor) in the printing area who was by herself and extremely busy. I told her of my rush to have it done and get to school. She was very accommodating and helpful. She was so busy I had to help her in printing my documents as she assisted other customers. I had no problem with that..she was very nice and doing her best to help everyone. The manager at the time noticed how busy she was and saw me behind the computer printing but didn't say anything..as he was helping other customers in the store. When the other printing assistant came back from her lunch break she wasn't friendly or helpful at all. While the main lady was busy she just kind of stood around and didn't greet or help anyone. I think she was waiting on someone to tell her to do something! I was done there in about 30 or so minutes. I thanked the printing supervisor for her help..she was great! Now except for the price of printing and binding was way overpriced. I paid double than most of my classmates for the same thing. If I wasn't in a rush I prob would have went else where based on price. read more

I took it back to the store that date seeking to return the defective machine and buy an upgraded model. They refused - claiming a 14 day return polict. I bought it on line and picked it up at the store. None of the paperwork mentioned a 2 week warranty. Do they have a 2 week warrantly because its products break so fast? This is absurd. Horrible customer service! No one here knows how to do there job. Came in about 7:30 pm .Needed to make colored copies and asked for help. No one came to aid for 20 minutes. There were other employees on the floor but no one paid any attention . We asked the manager for help, she abruptly told us she will be right with us, proceeded to help another customer with a return since the cashier did not know how to do so and NEVER returned to assist! Seriously! all I needed were 9 colored copies! Employees saw us still waiting and no one came to help until we had to again physically go up to someone and ask for help. I bumped it up another star ONLY because the employee who was able to help us , while juggling 3 other customers truly cared about our needs and our consumer satisfaction! ALAN! Thank you for all your help! ALAN in the printing dept did some trouble shooting with our colored copy situation and was able to find a solution! NO ONE else there had any clue on how to conduct customer service! I didn't even mind waiting the whole 40 minutes it took to finally get the job done! All I'm asking for is at least try the best you can to help the customer...at least that would be "A" for effort! But when there are 4 different employees including a manager ignoring you....then that's horrible! read more

I went in to Staples on Saturday and the copy and print center was amazing. I know there has been some reviews in the past that would say otherwise but Sequoia and her teammate were both so helpful to me and everyone that came up to the counter was greeted right away and helped within a few quick minutes. Sequoia even went above and beyond and cut my prints for me so that they were just ready to be put in envelopes and mailed. They were kind, friendly and personable. I was extremely pleased. I came in to buy a monitor that was on sale on staple's website but in-store, it was still listed at full price. Guillermo, the store manager, explained to me that staples usually doesn't price match out-of-stock items, but he really wanted to help me out. He made a few calls to authorize the discounted price and after a few minutes, he came back to me and said he'd be able to price match. His attitude was fantastic as he really wanted me to get the good deal. I ended up walking out with 2 of the monitors in hand. I placed a custom order on line for a poster for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. The poster took longer than expected and when I went in to pick it up it did not have the easel I ordered. They explained they didn't have that and I could go back on line for a refund. I asked why nobody had called to discuss this prior to me getting there and all they could do was apologize. Then I went on line to get my refund and got a call from some snotty lady with a Nova Scotia area code who told me they don;t even offer easels and she had no idea what I was talking about. So we spent 10 minutes of me looking around their web site to find the easel I had paid for and she said "Fine, I'll refund you $3.99 for it." I have been a loyal Staples customer for a long time, but I am moving on. read more
