I have came to this store before but this last experience as a customer was remarkable. I went to buy a Brother Printer that I saw on sale online and received the best help while I was checking out. The staff members name is Joe. He is an older gentleman who was very cordial, welcoming and incredibly informative. As I was paying for my item he informed me of the 4 year warranty and everything it covers (which I bought) and really helped me understand the breakdown of a Brothers printer and their quality. I called to see if a printer was in stock. Used Siri on my phone, which dialed straight to printing services and copy department. Pauline answered the phone and was clearly annoyed by my accidental calling of the wrong department and said she would transfer me. Too bad she didn't put me on hold and I could hear her talking smack about me to her coworker. I replied that I could hear her and she clicked on me. Very unprofessional! Used the computer here and it takes forever to work. Internet takes about 3 minutes to finally work. 3 minutes is equal to $6 dollars already. Such a waste of money. Don't even bother using the computer because at the end you won't be able to print anything, and you'll get charge 10 bucks for nothing. read more

95% of the time, I buy the same exact thing (ink) when I come in, and come in 1-2 times a month. This location is convenient - just off the 605 at the Alondra exit, just a few blocks north of the 91 Freeway in Cerritos. Alondra is sometimes a pain in the but especially on weekday afternoons because everyone's trying to get to Cerritos College. They price match qualified Amazon pricing. Cashier girls are always friendly. Sometimes when my ink boxes are a little damaged, I ask for a new one and they get it from the back in a decent amount of time. I admit that a few associates have to trained better in customer service. For the reasons above, I'm a regular. read more

A lot of these reviews are ridiculous. The people working at this Staples are wonderful. I hope a lot of you realize that the reason why the prices may be different on the tag and when they are rung up at the register is because customers pick up the items and put it back in a spot belonging to a different items. Use your head, it's common sense. And no you won't get full price of an item if you don't bring proof of purchase (A RECIEPT for example would be one). And the Copy Center is great too. Hard working associates who, unfortunately, get a lot of hard time with some customers who don't know how things work. Even if it's a single paper you need at the last minute, they can't do it for you because they have to do other orders and clean up for the night. You would be taking away time from them and making another customer have a bad experience because you just wanted a single paper done. Wait in line for orders to be done like everyone else. Think about others and not yourself. Also don't drag them to do your whole self serve printers work (hence the self in self serve). They are fairly easy to use once you get the hang of them. A bit strange to me at first but I got the hang of it. All in all, don't trust a lot of the bad reviews because they are just simply customers who can't understand how a store works. read more

I was able to find the Spectrum Test Prep books I came in for but I was unable to make copies in their copy center because they only have 2 copiers for the public and they were being occupied. I waited 15 minutes and still no opportunity. I think if they are going to have such few copier, then they should have a 10 min limit. All big jobs should be done at the counter. read more

Zero. This place is a joke. At least the copy center is. The one star is for the one customer service rep at the copy center who was helping everyone. Shame on the "manager" who stood at the door greeting people instead of helping the one rep in printing services. They have three machines, one was broke and the other two were occupied by two customers who had NO concept of time. There really should be a time limit especially when there are only two functioning machines and the line is backed up. The stand alone fax machine was super old and the back counter looked so unorganized. I waited about 20 minutes to copy one paper and fax one paper in which I couldn't even manage to do because of all the malfunctions. The rep finally offered to help me and copied and faxed my document but the hassle was too much. read more

I had the best experience at the printing area. I needed to print important documents and for some reason the machine was not giving me the results I wanted. I asked the lady working there, her name is SYD and she kindly helped. She went out of her way to help me and I'm very thankful for that. She asked me nicely if I can wait a few minutes so that she can finish something that was due in 10 min and before 10 min she was already helping me. Crazy how it's called "Staples" yet when i went, all staplers were empty (in the beginning of the day ?) and all employees were busy on the phone or talking to one another to help. Meanwhile there were others on all printers looking equally as confused and no employees offering assistance. Even on other days I come here, i never see the employees really working. Past times I've seen someone need assistance and they just move like they don't care. read more

went to print papers and get a Webcam asked someone that worked there if they had Webcam and said no. I was frustrated but decided to look still and around the corner was in fact 5 different webcams. I was so mad that I dropped all of my stuff in the middle of the store and left. ur employees are that uneducated for an item that every staples should have then why are they working there? it wasn't even a maybe it was a straight no to my face. We had paid for a poster on glossy photo paper. What we got is like an inkjet printout . And it was printed on the wrong side of the glossy paper. Quality of print is also awful. Background was full black but you can see white spots all over that did not have ink. If you are looking for quality prints, go elsewhere ! They're ok just for document copies. After my terrible experiences with Office Depot printing departments I was extremely pleased at the service I got today after the gym. I have been needing to scan some documents for a while now and so I approach a blonde Asian girl who was super friendly and gave amazing quality service. I asked her where the flash drives were located and she gave me exact directions to the area. After I return to the check stand she smiled and had a wonderful attitude as she rang me up. She put me in a good mood and that is rare for me! Lol. Anyway, after I buy my flash drive I go to the printing department where it is packed! All the copiers and scanning machines were occupied but Pauline allowed me to organize my documents and wait for the next available machine and even told me when one is open she will gladly assist me. She quickly took me to a machine and dos the whole process for me! She helped me pay with my credit card, she ran all my documents through, she saved then the way I asked and was super friendly when I made comments about their computer station. Overall, I had a great quick experience here with the staff. These ladies were helpful and on point with everything I asked for. Pauline has a job of helping multiple people and doing multiple tasks at once and she has full control of the area. I'm making this my go to over Office Depot from now on! read more

We are teachers, and as teachers we buy off of a website called "Teachers Pay Teachers," hence we BUY the rights to their design's, work, and creativity that those teachers on that website decide to SELL! So the next time we want to print something out and you try to give us a lecture on copyright, stop. Because 1, you have no idea what you are talking about, 2, because your attitude needs a huge adjustment in communicating with customers, and 3, don't try and lecture people when you aren't a professional teacher. I have contacted this location over the phone and walked into the store and their employees are always unaware of their inventory, and their customer service is terrible. The employees are not friendly, and can't seem to resolve customer issues or concerns. I have had multiple experiences with staples and they have been helpful except for this location. I suggest avoiding this location at all cost until management is able to be retrained and retrain their employees. read more

This is my go to store for all my needs for my office. Been going here for a few yrs now. I only really deal with the managers who are just awesome. They know me by name and always greet me when they notice im there. The 2 managers i deal with have been very helpful when im trying to solve a issue with my computers and all other devices in my office. They definitely are up to speed on technology. Not once this location was out of stock. Always left with what i went for. My experience on returning an item has all ways been trouble free. Clearly they try thier best to keep their customers satisfied and welcomed back. Copy center...only dealt with them once. Don't get me wrong... I love my new canon laser printer that I recently bought. Very nice quality prints. The problem I have ? Well, while I was on the hunt of my new printer, an employee decided to help me. He guaranteed that one cartridge would get me about 1000 to 1500 prints. Maybe I should have done my research. But if you don't know what you're talking about, then don't sprout me lies. Or if you decided to lie to me to get a sale... Shame on you and you're giving this store a bad rep. Service here SUCKS. This Staples is on the way to my dental office (Dr. Lim Dental) and I had to stop by to get a white board..first off, the cashier rung it up and the price was double what was listed!!! When I asked him he threatened me with saying he'd have to bother to ask someone to walk me to make sure I got the one I wanted. Umm...I'm pretty sure I want this one and the other three boards that were labeled $33.49 should've been put away somewhere else as to AVOID confusion. I shouldn't have to spend over 45 minutes trying to buy a white board that's not labeled the right price. That's just shenanigans. Furthermore, he automatically emailed my receipt to me (without asking) when I wanted a paper one so I had to wait another 10 minutes for that. Not a fan of this staples. They are always low on supply and the employees seem to be more interested in whats going on during the weekend than their customers. One of my pet peeves is when I'm trying to check out and the cashier is standing joking around with her co-workers. You can have fun when you work just wait till the one customer you have leaves. It was 11 am and I was the only one there and the cashier still couldn't give me her undivided attention. I needed it for 30 seconds, i bought a stapler and a pack of paper. $29.99 for a Dell laser printer! What a deal! Original price is $119.99! I was so excited so I called down to the closest Staples near me since I was in town visiting! The person picked up the phone and I asked for a stock check. Within the next 7 mins, I had three different employees ask me what I needed. It was a little frustrating explaining yourself over and over. Finally after 10 mins, they said they had it in stock. I asked to put one on hold. She said sure. An hour later, I came to the store and asked to purchase my hold. The girl at the register asked someone to get it. It took that person almost 15 mins to get it while I let people in front of me in the line.. It shouldn't take this long to get something that was put on hold. So tired of this store! They only have one FAX Machine and it has been out of order for quite some time now. They sent me across the street to use CVS' machine, stating it was the closest one around. After going to CVS, I was informed they do not have, nor have they ever had, a FAX machine and they didn't understand why Staples was always sending people over to them! Also, wanted to have a few copies made on card stock paper and was told it would be a four hour wait...all the while, there were about five other employees milling about! Really? This place is alright, but goodness do something about your computer or the internet at least. Spending about 10 dollars on trying to freaking connect to the internet and still nothing. Like I just need to print something and it takes about 3-5 mins for it to start and add another 3 minutes for it to connect. I'm always spending 10 or more just trying to connect and just to tell me reload again or try again later. read more

Review for the print center: I recently had invitations printed here. Although at the time of picking up, you sign off on the print job (everything seemed ok), I didn't realize until I got home that the invites were cut incorrectly. As I tried to insert the invitations into the envelopes, I saw that they would not fit. Instead of the intended 5x7 size, they measured 4.25 x 8.5. The order was placed online with the measurements clearly outline (by Staples) as 5x7. Envelopes were provided by Staples as well. Disappointing to say the least. I had to cut down the invitations to size myself, in order for them to fit into the envelope. The one upside was that the print job had a fast turnaround (same day)--but maybe that's part of the reason why it wasn't right. If I ever choose to have something printed here again (highly unlikely) I would bring my ruler and make sure that the invites fit into the provided envelopes--BEFORE signing off on the job. Seems more trouble than it's worth. I'd recommend having print jobs done professionally elsewhere. read more

I don't shop all the time at Staples however I do know customer svc can be iffy. Anywho...I have been shopping for laptops and Staples had some decent deals. I was there at 10am so not too many people shopping. I asked a cashier if they had 2 of the laptops advertised. She may have been new cuz she kept stating the manager would be over to help and was a little bewildered. I was getting ready to chalk it up to a big NO and head somewhere else but the manager Eloy appeared. He had the 2 computers available on display and took his time to recommend which program to buy and diff options. With a great price and excellent service as I received today I will def tell people to check this place out. Judging from the reviews below Eloy must have been brought back - he's the reason Staples got my business today. Pros: prices (usually after rebates) are pretty good compared to other stores no loud music that I have to yell over (this is you Bestbuy) lots of parking Eloy! Cons: customer svc people may not be too educated on how to deal with the public- so I'd have to say if it wasn't for the service from their Manager I'd probably have taken my business elsewhere. My initial contact on todays visit was a cashier (she was at the register so just guessing) and she seemed pretty green as to how to deal with the question if they had 2 computers in stock. I asked one of the employees if we can print something. The lady at the counter said we had to use their computer without saying we could have emailed the document to them to print. Then she proceeds to tell me that we have to click on the bw printer and not use the color, but their default link is in color to charge you more. Ummmmm! This place sucks! What a waste of money.
