    Happy Hour!!!
    Chris V.

I haven't been to Stanford's before my Yelp days but I was up in the area so stopped for Happy Hour. I enjoyed their Happy Hour menu and tried the burger and some ribs, too. Stanfords is completely ADA accessible with a counter at the bar I could roll right up to with my wheelchair and enjoy my meal. The burger was good but the bacon was overdone. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the BBQ sauce was very good. If I'm in the area during Happy Hour again, I may stop and enjoy the ribs again. And, I was impressed with their tasty sparkling wine. It reminder me of some I enjoyed on the French Rivera.

Cheeseburger minus the burger. More like a lettuce burger.

When you walk in the atmosphere is very nice. The menu had a large variety and prices were not horrible until the food arrived. My son in law ordered a cheeseburger and it looked more like a lettuce burger. The small burger was hidden under the cheese the what looked like half a head of lettuce on top. My daughter ordered a 6 oz steak that I bet if I weighed it would be less than 4 (even before being cooked). My wife ordered a salad and baked potato. Lettuce was slightly wilted and potato came with very minimal toppings. I ordered the chicken Marsala with garlic mashed potatoes, the potatoes I feel like I had to finish mashing a good chunk of it and the chicken was like half a breast. All this for over $190

I don't know why but I had low expectations for this and was pleasantly surprised. Popped in for happy hour and got the kruse burger and fries, for $11 it's a good deal. The burger is piled high with things- standard burger toppings but also avocado and bacon. Though it was a touch bland and the patty on the smaller end. Fries were solid. Beer was solid. Service wasn't bad. And it was pretty busy inside at 5pm on a Monday.

Visited Stanford's on a whim after some shopping nearby. Overall, a GREAT experience. I wish I could remember the bartender's name because she deserves a raise. (If management reads this, I visited on 06/24 at 2pm-find her!) I first ordered a "Huckleberry Raindrop," which sounded great...However, I found it overly sweet and couldn't drink it. I changed my drink order and next went with the tried-and-true Dirty Martini. WOW- easily one of the best dirty martinis I've had in the city. Perfectly chilled, just the right amount of brine, and they didn't skimp on the olives (I could have eaten like 3 more, but I decided to leave with a little dignity). Now, the Mediterranean Tavern Burger? I'm torn. Delicious either way, but the description led me to believe there would be an actual "patty." A more accurate description would be a gyro-style wrap on flatbread. Not your standard burger, but solid flavor and good execution. Upon payment I was pleased to see that I was not charged for the first drink which was not expected and greatly appreciated! Will 100% be back. Might even make it a regular thing just for that martini!

We used to have one on Tukwila and it closed years ago... we were near a north gate and stopped in. Amazing!! It was like we remembered. Comfort food made well. The service was top notch from the moment we entered. We were seated immediately, the server was kind and really helpful. The place as light, clean and comfortable. The food was great. We had Brussels sprouts and the 3 dipping sauces were so good. The crab artichoke sandwich was rich and tasty. The kruse burger was perfect, and the Mediterranean chicken light and fresh.

    Chimichurri steak tips.

Typically love going out to Stanford's as it's consistent and yummy. Felt a little scammed with the chimmichurri steak tips though. That's all we got!?? It was $24 for this. Very confused and unsatisfied with the portion for this amount. The spicy cowboy I got was yummy and looked reasonable for the price. Idk what happened to my partners Chimichurri steak bites but incredibly disappointed. Maybe it was a mistake, maybe that's how they portion it. Just be mindful :)

First timer here at this resto. Food-wise, very good and their appetizer too :) So delish nomnom. Staff were very accommodating and detailed. The place is neat and clean. Lots of parking but I think you have to pay. I think you have to pay after 3 hours , if I'm not mistaken:) would love to go back in case happen to that area.

    Happy Hour dishes

This review is specific to the new happy hour menu. First the good: service was great, friendly and fast. The drinks were very good and a great price during HH. All the food tasted pretty great too. My issue with this happy hour was quantity/price and transparency. The listed menu prices looked great, but after getting the dishes I couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by the amount of food received. 2 chicken tenders for $10. 3 bites of ahi for $10. 6 stuffed mushrooms for $8 (we already ate 2 before the pic). And honestly, if the menu just stated the quantity of food for each dish, I probably would've felt fine with it. But it was the disappointment of expecting to get a good deal when it really wasn't. I understand eating out here is very pricey, I guess my expectations were too high. But more transparency in the HH menu would've been appreciated.

We came in a a party of four on Friday at noon for some lunch. I enjoyed their coffee and ambiance-they have a gorgeous bar, and they play sports on TV. I like that they are flexible with their seating options-they have a dining room, and they have a bar. We opted for the bar because it was easier for the person in our party with a walker for this particular occasion (but they would have also been fine in the dining room). We split amongst ourselves the onion rings-these were crispy and good! I couldn't decide between the Smoked Salmon Chowder and their Caesar Salad, so I ordered both! Their smoked salmon chowder has a nice smokiness to it without overpowering the salmon. Their salad was refreshing and went well with the chowder. Overall, this is a great place to dine in. They have a large menu, and it was easy for everyone in our party to find something that they enjoyed.

Ordered a simple soup and salad and it was beyond amazing. First time here. Excellent service, exceptional food. Cannot wait to come back for dinner!

This is the baked potato that I was given. I complained about it being brown, and again the manager justified it. It tasted very old.

I recently got a to go order from Stanford's. I've eaten at the restaurant before and I've always had a good meal but getting it to go was one of the worst meals I've ever had. I called to complain about my brown, baked potato and rubbery green beans and asked to speak to the manage. The manager justified everything they gave us. He said the potato was cooked earlier. The green beans were cooked fresh. He did not want to listen that the food was horrible. I told the manager that I would never eat there again because he wouldn't listen to how bad the meal was. He justified everything, he told me that I can't stop coming to a restaurant just because one bad experience. I was so frustrated that I ended up hanging up on him. I will never go there again.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

They used a good slab of coho, nicely seasoned with a aioli. The fries were crunchy and nice. I shared with my husband and it was just right, since we had a bunch of apps at the market. We also got a round of beers. Or in my case I got their hard seltzer, which wasn't too bad, I would probably just get a light beer next time. Service was great outside! Also you get the nice breeze, they also had heaters on top. Picnic style tables and quick service!

Altho they were fresh, the quality was nothing compared to Taylor Shellfish. For dinner, I had the King Ora salmon over a Walla Walla onion ring and a bed of corn. The fish was really moist, and the chef thought this dish out well. Major downside tho was the $61 price vs a small piece of fish. Others had steak frites, crab roll & fries and clam chowder. I had some of the crab roll & fries, and both were really good. The roll was packed w/ fresh crab, and the fries were cooked twice. Again the only downside was the $45 price. Regarding the ambiance, its nice in here. However, the "half shell" seats leave much to be desired. They are too tight for 4 people. I sat on the outside, and the person to my left kept hitting me w/ her knees: She is only 5 foot. It would be impossible for an average height person to sit next to me. Lauren R was a very good waitress. She was attentive, friendly and on top of things. On the other hand, the kitchen did not space our oysters well vs the mains. It took a long time to get our mains. Two other tables that ordered after us received their food before us (major pet peeve for me). 3.5 Stars overall. The food is pricey (nearly $100/each - one person had clam chowder and no one had alcohol), and the "half shell" seating doesn't work for me. However, the staff is friendly and the food tastes good. I'm on the fence if I would return.

This colored the perception of my meal greatly unfortunately. I love how they included flaky salt with their house bread. The house bread was very pretty as it had a pattern from the banneton. Lighter in texture though, without much of a crispy crust. The Classic Caesar Salad was great. Not many places include whole anchovy fillets. The lettuce was crisp, and the croutons crunchy! It was light dressed and included a grilled lemon half if you wanted more flavor. Very refreshing. The ribeye was very tender and flavorful. There was the perfect sear on it, and while I didn't know how long it was aged, it clearly met the goal of increasing the complexity of the meaty flavor. It was super beefy, and the fat was so tender. No gristle here! The asparagus spears were the largest I've ever seen, yet they were still tender. I'm not sure I would return or recommend this place due to the service. A shame.
