For a place that is advertised for fine dining the service should match the vibe. The server asked us for drinks, however she could not tell me what was their house wines. We started with the grand plateau seafood platter accompanied by a small plate for shells. Most places when the shells start to pile they bring another plate. As we were still eating our appetizers and with no warning, three servers brought our main dishes with no room on the table. Now I had to consolidate our seafood platter on to a small plate in order to receive our dinner plates. Other than that, the food was delicious.

Another great experience at the Capital Grill! There were four of us so we shared a bottle of wine as well as a couple of us got their delicious martinis. They start you with a beautiful complimentary bread basket with the most delicious bread. We got the calamari as an appetizer- so good! Then 2 of us got the lamb chops & the others got roasted chicken & Chilean sea bass with a side of sautéed spinach. Everything was so delicious! The service was good as we asked to move from a table near the entrance to a booth. We'll be back! Food 5 Service 5 Ambiance 5

Finally had a chance to try this place on Christmas Eve and it didn't not disappoint! I had the 14oz New York strip and it was cooked to perfection! Great crust! The mashed potatoes were whipped perfectly. My beet and goat cheese salad was delicious! And those prosciutto wrapped mozzarella sticks were so so so yummy! Ambiance was great! Classic steakhouse vibes. Menu isn't cheap but you definitely get what you pay for. Our server Omar made some excellent recommendations and he provided top tier service! Thank you Omar! Will definitely come back! Also love that there's plenty of parking garages nearby.

Wandered in during a birthday stay at the Fairmont. It was Restaurant Week, so I ordered off that menu and my friend ordered whatever she liked (lobster)! My food was incredible--tender meat, delicious sides, and a special touch on dessert. I thought the RW menu was full of good choices. They had a few non-alcoholic cocktails on offer, too. Staff was quick and attentive.

If you need good ambiance, great service, and excellent food, then this is the place. Their steaks are outstanding. The asparagus and truffle fries were scrumptious. I had the snake river farm gold Wagyu filet mignon. My friend had the bone-in ribeye. Both steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Our host was Omar and he was absolutely the best. I always ask to sit in his section because I know the service will be professional and top-notch. I will be back here many more times.

This place was FANTASTIC! I was in town on business and wanted somewhere nice for the last day. This place did not disappoint!! First off the staff was wonderful! Very friendly and accommodating! My server answered all my questions his name is Matthew he was FANTASTIC!! The food was delicious. The stead and lobster were cooked perfectly and so juicy and tender. The wedge salad was fantastic the bacon and house made dressing send this over the top! The mood is very classy and high end. You feel very fancy eating here. For my other GF friends this place handled my allergies beautifully! They had a separate menu that listed all the GF items and it was so easy to make a reservation and have them bring everything I needed! Highly recommended this restaurant and I would definitely come back another time if I'm in Seattle.

Capital Grille is one of our go-to spots for a good steak night dinner in Seattle!! You truly cannot beat the service or food. The quality is always amazing and great atmosphere. It's a great place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or holiday (or just a random night out if you want to splurge a little). They also recently launched a new happy hour menu in the bar which I have not tried yet, but will soon!

Our server Rob took excellent care of my sister and I during our dinner! The lobster mac n cheese and risotto were amazing dishes. Rob even surprised us with a dessert plate! He was so kind and generous. Our hostess Charlise was wonderful and put together a list of Must-Sees for our trip to Seattle. Excellent staff! Would definitely come back.

I wish that there was a Capital Grille where I'm located! We went on Thanksgiving and I don't care what anyone says about the wait, it was WORTH IT! For those that are and were complaining, YOURE LUCKY THEY WERE EVEN OPENED TO SERVE YOU! Anyway, the host was such a sweetheart. She kept her composure even when rude customers belittled her and yelled at her! And our waiter was such an amazing funny person! A very romantic setting. Even though the place is crowded, we had no issues hearing each other. The food was so good! Our favorite was the French onion caviar dip with their what seems to be homemade chips. We all got each or their steaks: wagyu, ribeye and porterhouse with brussels sprouts, truffle fries, mashed potatoes, and the calamari! Literally cannot complain about anything even the steak was cooked perfectly! If you guys were listening, please open a location in Fresno, California or the Bay Area, California! I'm obsessed

Upon entrance they kept us waiting to be seated which was very annoying considering it was 8p on a Wednesday night and practically empty. Our waitress was very informative about their specials pertaining to the menu. Apparently it was Wagyu and Wine that month so we indulged in that. Three different burgers to choose from that can be paired with different types of local wines. The atmosphere is old money Seattle.

Last night (Friday) we visited the Capital Grille in downtown Seattle. It is one of the few fine dining national brands still operating in the Seattle metro area. The Mortons, Flemings, il Fornaios, McCormick and Schmicks, Oceanaires, Bourbon Steaks, and Sullivans have all gone away for various reasons, but the Capital Grille is still standing. This visit was on a very active Friday night as the place was humming! The front of the house staff were pleasant and very welcoming. One couldn't miss the extensive wine displays at the entrance and across from the bar. We were seated quickly to our table for two. The white linens on the table were a nice fine dining touch. Within minutes our glasses were filled with water and our order for additional beverages placed. We went for glasses of Sauvignon Blanc and Capital Grille's take on the Old Fashion, an InFashion. Our server Amber B. was also very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Capital Grille is known for its extensive steak selections but as we are pescatarians we went for its offerings from the sea/lakes. To begin we ordered the Calamari appetizer and two salads, a roasted Beet salad and a Caesar salad. The Calamari was lightly fried and tossed with Cherry Peppers providing crispy, heated pleasure. The salads were both fresh and delicious. Next up were our entrees, but before we explore these, let's back up to the bread basket. It included a variety of choices and Amber kept our table crumb free! For entrees we chose the Sea Bass and the Citrus Glazed Salmon. The Sea Bass was excellently pan seared with miso butter and accompanied with shiitake mushroom and asparagus. The Salmon was seared as well with a citrus glaze applied, and included haricots verts and sweet, cippolini onions and a baked potato (as an add on). When I say we loved the preparations, we truly loved the preparations! Both dishes were excellently executed; moist, flaky, and delicious. As another add on for the Salmon entree, I added a Lobster Tail for an additional $30. We are not talking about a 12 or 22 ounce tail here but the 6 ounce tail was nicely prepared. We opted not to go for dessert but will check those out on our next visit to the spot. The Ambiance was great, as there was a lot of energy circulating through the restaurant. Virtually every seat, including those a the bar were occupied and the hum throughout the restaurant was at a moderate level.

HIGH END STEAKHOUSE CLOSE TO THE 5th AVE THEATER. $$$$ They say you get what you pay for and in this case it rings true. The atmosphere is elegant as is deserving of high end establishments. Our server Jon, did not rush us and even inquired if we had plans after dinner (we were going to to see Elf at the 5th Ave Theatre two blocks away away) so the meal could be timed for our showtime. He was thoughtful about our selections and offered his opinion when asked. We started with the caviar app. A dollop of caviar placed atop a sort of onion dip, surrounded by house made potato chips. Personally I prefer that caviar be eaten alone but the presentation was eye popping. We then had a course of soup. I had the French Onion and my wife had the Lobster Bisque. We swapped half way to taste each others. The Bisque had big chunks of lobster in it and was delicious. The French onion had a generous topping of melting cheese and was also amazing. For entries my wife had a glazed salmon which she loved and I had a New York aged bone in strip. I actually regret ordering it with the balsamic glaze. This was a thick prime cut of beef. Cooked perfectly medium rare. The balsamic was sweet and a little spicy and only detracted from the natural flavor of the meat. We also ordered a side of Au Gratin Potatoes for the table. Easily large enough for two or more people. They were delicious but there was so much we couldn't possibly finish it. We didn't have time for desert but we will be back next time we see a show at the 5th or perhaps, on another special occasion. If you love steak, and you like it cooked properly, this is a great place to take that special someone on a special occasion. Oh and BTW "cooked properly" means "Medium rare" :). Just say'n Cheers!

She recommended a Mezcal cocktail that was a great start! Surprising because it wasn't smoky typical to Mezcal, just perfectly balanced. Exactly what I wanted. For my main, I went with the short rib pappardelle. It was incredibly rich, and the meat was cooked to perfection. Hailee was attentive and made me feel welcome at the table, which isn't always the case when you're a party of one. Incredible service and an all-around top-tier meal. The hostess walked us through the entire restaurant to the dark back wall, behind the bar. With tall bar chairs. Explained we didn't want that, she walked us back through the entire restaurant to a nice table up front by the windows. Tried a Malbec duo. One was delicious and didn't like the other at all; oddly tannic. The grilled mortadella should have been more grilled. Sitting in a generous portion of burratta-like cheese, olive oil and pistachio butter, it was delicious. But desperately needed some bread. How do eat this without any bread? Once the mortadella is gone, you are just eating spoonfuls of cheese, oil and butter? We hadn't seen our waitress since the app arrived. Having finished the mortadella we finally flagged down someone and asked if we could get a little bread. He said he would handle it right away. Another 10 minutes goes by and our waitress came by. Apologized for not being around and went to see about the bread. Finally got the bread, and it was delicious. But sooooo oily! Like a sponge it dozed oil every time I tried to break off a piece. Was dying to wash my hands. Our entrées were ok. The fried chicken with fusilli was pretty good, but difficult to eat in the deep bowl. Hard to cut. The crispy tofu wrap wasn't crispy and wasn't made well. I have absolutely no idea what flavor profile it was meant to be. Just muddy. I tried to eat the first half. It was stuffed so full it was impossible to eat. I took out more than half the filling before I could manage it. When I got to the second half I understood the issue. There was almost no crispy tofu, but lots of lettuce and other fillings. Maybe it would have eaten better if it had been constructed better. The fries were fine. Pleasant server, but perhaps had too many tables as we didn't get the service expected. It's been a long time since dining at the downtown Purple. Likely wouldn't go back.

Amazing wines, creative cocktails, solid snacks, great service and even games. You could wander in "for one flight" and somehow emerge six hours later wondering where the time went (in the best way.) On the wine side, they offer several thoughtfully curated flights, or you can build your own adventure. Which I highly recommend. The dessert wines alone are incredible, and the selection of aromatic whites is seriously impressive. No matter your palate, there's something here that will make you pause, sip again, and nod approvingly. And then there are the wine-based cocktails that deserve their own standing ovation. A wine tasting room doing cocktails this well is rare. We tried the Espresso Martini, the French 125, and the Lavender Lemon Martini, and every single one was better than I expected grape-based cocktails to be. Like, pleasantly shocked. This used to be one of my favorite spots at Pike Market. For years, I made it a tradition to bring out-of-town guests here. Over time, I have brought more than 100 people here. It had a charming, warm, and welcoming feel--like a hidden gem in the city. It oozed with kindness and fun. Unfortunately, that has completely flipped! Since the new manager, Anthony, took over, the entire atmosphere has shocked me. What was once inviting now is rigid, cold, and unwelcoming. The biggest issue, however, was the way I was treated. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, which was both surprising and disappointing given my long history with this place. Great establishments are built not just on food or ambiance, but on how people are treated--and that piece is clearly missing now. It's especially unfortunate because the rest of the team still shows glimpses of what this place used to be. Jordon, was genuinely kind and pleasant, but one positive interaction couldn't outweigh the manager's miserable attitude. It's hard to see a place that once felt so special lose its charm like this. I know the winemaker Paul is a great person - so it is hard to leave such a terrible review, but at the same time, if this was my place -- I would want to know what was happening behind the scenes at my establishment. I truly hope leadership reflects on how customer experience is being handled moving forward. Don't give money to places that have toxic attitudes and are joy crushers! Life is too short and far too precious! In the meantime, there are many nearby spots that consistently deliver both quality and incredible hospitality. Skip this place, and instead go to Browne Family Vineyards Tasting Room, The Lonely Siren, The Pink Door, Place Pigalle, or Maximilien. Those places are working very hard to create an exceptional experience!
