I have been looking at Paddle Boards for a few years now. I have done some research and walked into most of the shops in Bend that have boards for sale. I will say that Stand on Liquid is always patient with my questions and always had answers. Their showroom truly has something for everyone. I was looking for an all around paddle board to enjoy with my kiddos. I told them my price point and the really worked with me. They showed me a few well under my limit and one or two at my limit. I had been in the shop half a dozen times in the past year or two. Each time they treated me like a valued customer. I finally pulled the trigger on a beautiful board last week. I love everything about it and couldn't be happier with my purchase. If you are looking for a paddle board that will fit your needs and you want to feel valued and do locals business, this is the place. I can't recommend them more.

We rented a few boards there this summer, they were fantastic! They made sure they held a short board for my son, so he could enjoy SUPing with me. We also talked extensively about their boards and wholesale program as we are thinking of starting a rental business. I would absolutely recommend SOL to anyone.

I don't know where I would be without Stand on Liquid! They have not only taught me everything I need to know about SUP boarding, but I've bought almost all of my SUP board equipment from them. From my actual SUP board (Z-Elite 12' 6") to my bag, straps and helmet cam, these are the go to guys when it comes to SUP boarding.

Bought 2 paddleboards last summer. We've had no issues at all from the boards. We use them at least every week. Fabulous boards. Great service. What more could you ask for? These guys are great!

My wife got her 16th wedding anniversary gift today and we couldn't be happier. The service was outstanding and the selection was the best I've seen. Happy wife = Happy Life. We went everywhere in central Oregon looking for the right board, and this was the place. 5 starts for sure!!

Clothes, shoes, outdoor gear, hiking gear, freeze dried backpacking food, energy bars, if you are looking for something for the outdoors, you will find it here. I bought a bicycle sometime back at REI, and it did me very very well. I'm on a "road trip", so I didn't buy anything today. Prices are definitely on the higher end, but hey, you get what you pay for. If you are an REI member, you get offers, and discounts throughout the year, and a rebate in the form of a gift card based on the amount that you spend every year. Not a bad deal. Beware unmarked tariff price hikes when buying goods! The price you pay is NOT the price on the…read moreitem. I recently purchased a new climbing harness at this location. The rack was a little disorganized and I found a harness I liked and checked the price on the box: $94. When I left the store, I noticed I paid $104 for the item! I returned to the store and did a price check and was told by the clerk this was a tariff price increase and they never bothered to update the sticker on the item. They claimed they had the correct price on the shelf, not the item. (Due to the disorganization of the shelf, it was hard to tell which item was which and I went with the price on the box.) Please consider updating signage to warn of tariff price hikes or something to better manage customer expectations and avoid wasting time.

Tried buying two Benchmade knives first one said it was in stock in store that I could pick up that day come to find out it wasn't in the store and none of the other stores happen to have it either, so I said okay mistakes happen the next day ordered another one, only to find out the same thing happened! Very disappointed I probably will never purchase anything from sportsman again I still haven't got refunded.

Then they tell you when the card arrives that there is a $3.50 per month fee for paper billing. In order to stop paper billing you need to get the app or get online and weed through the site to find out how to change it. They offer 15% off your first purchase which I never got. When I complained to customer service, they sent me 10% off. But I needed to use this online. The store is over 100 miles from my house. I explained I was not from the area and asked if I could just order online then get the item off the shelf? The clerk said no... that's an online only deal. The price of the ammo I was wanting to purchase was $149 on the shelf. When I looked online it was $155 another 3.5% more. That makes the savings only 6.5% a far cry from 15% So why can't you just buy it online and get it there at the store you're already at? Nope they have to send it to the store even though it's already there. Isn't this a plain restocking issue? They don't want you to know the online prices are higher than regular store prices. I then decided to look around the store a bit more. When I looked at their gun safes....there's a big sign in red saying "SALE" $2199 however on that same sign it says was $2199.......so what's the sale? Are we to believe because a sign says sale and lists a price with the same price on the same sign with a line through it that's an actual sale? I have provided pictures for proof, but I'll stick with cabelas and their card at 9.99 % interest and offers for one year free interest plus points over a card that charges 33% interest plus a $3.50 per month paper billing fee that's not easy to change.

Luckily, we managed to do a walk-up appointment and get our tubes for floating. They do offer online reservations, more than 24 hours in advance, but they had plenty of inner tubes so a reservation was not needed that particular day. From start to finish, they made the entire process extremely easy and seamless. From being able to park your car and get a ride with your inner tube to the drop off point and then being picked back up by the shuttle and returned to the parking lot, and everything in between. They provided us with a good safety briefing as well as the opportunity to leave our car keys since I had not thought about bringing a waterproof pouch. For just about $30 per person, it was well worth the experience and took us about two hours, but we did stop after the rapids and spend some time just swimming before continuing on. If you are a local or just visiting the Bend area, I cannot recommend floating the river enough.

(I've done the tube float down the Virgin River at Zion, and canoed and rafted countless rivers and lakes, several guided, some private.) The outhouses were full and needed to be serviced. So gross. We were there on a Sunday morning; perhaps yesterday was super busy?! Ew. Nobody offered to keep our keys. This is weird to me. Every raft/tube outfitter I've ever gone with has checked our keys for us. The tubes worked well and were fine. They're backless, though. Nicer models with backs and cup holders are so much better. The tip prompts are obnoxious. I paid for a service. Tipping is for people who go above and beyond. When I pay for a float, I shouldn't have a tip option presented right at booking. Weird. Then the driver also has a personal Venmo QR code on the bus. The only way I'd consider tipping is if I was personally fitted into a pfd, the driver handed me a water bottle or a slice of watermelon or something after the float, etc. They literally did nothing but hand us a life jacket, tell us where to get out of the river, and drive us to and from. They've been having issues with people missing the take out at Drake Park. We did see an employee on a kayak paddle out to help someone come in (she should tip him!), but otherwise there is no sign or anything, so if you're not paying attention you absolutely could miss it. To compare directly, on the Virgin River, an employee was standing IN the river, ready to help us, a huge sign was present, and another employee was on the shore to help carry tubes back to the trailer. Surely the city of Bend would allow them to erect a sign, even if only during business hours?! Or stack some of the orange tubes on the shore so floaters can see them clearly.
