I swung back by, the guys helped me pick out a better size board and the rest is history. I'd also point out that the shop is second to none. The vibes are immaculate and I recommend everyone stop in and check them out.

We were visiting Bend and looking to float the River. Found this place searching google for float…read morerentals. The owner was working when we came in and was super helpful and friendly. He pulled out a map and explained to us how floating the Deschutes worked and the start and end points and how to get back once our float ended. He even shut down the shop to drive us to the launch spot with our rental, since we couldn't fit it in my car. Costumer service doesn't get better than that!

This little park has changed drastically since the new whitewater park has been built. This is the…read morepark where you typically get out of the river when floating by. If you are not experienced with whitewater, you will most get out here. There are a couple of sections with grass where you can sunbathe or play some frisbee. Though this is really not the best park for that as it will be slammed in the summer with boaters and floaters walking by. There is a little boat ramp to enter and exit the river on the north side of the park. There are drinking fountains and restrooms for folks as well. The pathway through this park will take you to a bridge where you can watch surfers and kayakers surf the waves and wreck. This is one of my favorite past times lately. Along the park, you can walk by the shore of the river to see the mellower channel of water. This is almost guaranteed carnage as most of the people who are running this section are new to paddling. Along this path, there are a few benches to stop and have a snack. This park has transformed drastically, and I am stoked to use if over and over this summer. If you are in the Old Mill on a warm sunny day, this park has to be on your list of things to do.

That is until I tried a friends newer model, thinner blade paddle. After much research, I still had a few questions. The woman I spoke with was incredibly helpful and steered me in the absolute correct direction, with advice that was both logical and practical for my needs. My paddle arrived the other day. I called customer service again with another question regarding length. Again, super helpful, sound advice. I LOVE my GL paddle. I move faster in the water with way less torque on my surf worn shoulders. The level of service was so appreciated, especially with an investment one makes in our equipment.

This was totally my mistake. I had set my mind up to not bike that day once I realized the error However Lara was so gracious and kind about my mistake. She immediately walked me over to the office and started trying to figure out what else we could do. She really want the extra mile and ended up coordinating bikes from the hotel, recommending a route since now we wouldn't have a guide, and offering to drive us up if we weren't able to catch the shuttle. There's no place I will rent a bike in Bend besides here thank you Cog Wild.

CW gave us an extra shuttle the first day we had shuttles booked for no extra charge to make up for the inconvenience of the snow affecting our scheduled shuttles. Then they were willing to work with us the following day after we missed our scheduled time due to some confusion. 10/10 would use this service again. Shout out to our shuttle driver Rob. Great hospitality and very accommodating.
