Convenient, affordable, and great service! We found this place last minute when we decided to snowshoe. I took a chance and called the number on Christmas Day, and they were working. The person on the phone was very accommodating and patient. We let them know when we were planning on arriving, and they said they would make sure the store was open. Snowshoe rentals were only $15 each, and they included poles, goggles, and a balaclava. I believe the snow pants and snow boots were also only $15 each. The teal pants were SO cute. The person in the store was also very patient and helpful. There was a cute little hot cocoa station that included marshmallows, tea, Vitamin C, and apple cider packets. The only things missing were candy canes! But they made up for it with sweet treats (sugar cookies, fudge, and more). While we were there, we realized that we forgot our hand warmers. The person overheard us and gave us some for free!! What makes this place so convenient was that it was 6 minutes from our AirBnb in Sunriver AND they have a return box outside of the store if we get there after hours! I was also pleasantly surprised that we didn't have to return the rentals under the next morning at 9:00. Will definitely come back for more rental needs! read more

We had a great time renting snow mobiles from Sunriver ToyHouse! They anticipate every possible need. From helmets to heated vests to warm drinks and snacks. They gave thorough instructions to get us safely on the trail. When a belt broke on one of the machines, they walked us through repairing it and we were quickly back on the road. David and crew took great care of us. We needed 4 kayaks and wanted to go Harpers Bridge to Benham Falls takeout. Beautiful day not too much wind and it took us 3.5 hours without working too hard. Much more affordable than Sunriver Marina and a longer paddle which we appreciated. Easy to check out the gear and then they dropped our stuff at the bridge for put in. Paddle or not you will make good progress down river with beautiful scenery. Send them a text when you are passing the Sunriver takeout and they will send vehicle with trailer to pick you up from Benham Falls. Note that this takeout is much easier and cleaner than the Sunriver takeout as it is paved and much less congested. $10 to drop off the gear and $20 for the ride back is very reasonable. Many other toys to offer. Keep this place in mind if you are renting in and around Sunriver. read more

Amazing way to spend a day on the river. They have multiple options for pick up depending on the amount of time you have. We only had a couple hours so we rented kayaks, kayaked north on the river to the little deschutes and floated back! It was great to start w a bit of a workout then have an easy paddle home. They delivered our kayak right at the River, provided life jackets, and even had one for our pup! Staff was friendly and gave great advice! Hope to come back sometime! read more

The young guy who works there it was beyond rude. I stopped in around noon to get some information about renting kayaks for tomorrow. He just handed me a flyer and said look at this. I had a half a dozen questions that he refused to answer. He just kept saying look at the flyer and text me later. I was asking about where to put in and what they help with do they do pick ups and drop offs. Again he said just look at the flyer. But he did say that they do put in is at the bridge. When I asked him where that was if it was the one right next to him. He again said look at the flyer. I get that it's a holiday weekend. But I was the only one there. I went in the middle of the day when they would be less busy. He just refused to help me. And he wasn't even nice about it. Guess I will take my business elsewhere. Wonderful place to get all of your outdoor toys in Sunriver. Its a short drive outside of the Sunriver resort. The staff are ALL super friendly and had us in and out within minutes for our stand up paddle board rentals. Lots of great selections -- kayaks, SUPs, bikes, and even jet skis. This was a great place to rent rafts/inner tubes and bikes. It's not located within the Sunriver village, but just a short distance away on Spring River Rd. Dave is the owner and he is very friendly and knowledgeable about floating on the river (gave us good directions) Sunriver ToyHouse, sits in the parking lot of a liquor store which is very convenient, because some of his rafts have coolers and the liquor store sells ice and beer! After a relaxing float down the river, we brought the rafts back and rented bikes from him. His prices are very competitive. He had a large asst. of bikes to choose from and when one of the kids in our group couldn't fit on any of them, he promised us one the very next day and even brought it to our vacation rental home right at the time he had promised us. We were all very impressed at how reliable he was. Check with your rental/management company, as he offers discounts to certain ones and it will end up saving you a great deal of $$ read more

You have to text the number given to get a reservation. When we texted, they let us know they would give us a call shortly, we heard nothing. We followed up 2 hours after, they said the same thing. Another 2 hours go by, we ask for a call one last time, they never responded. Terrible service. Very unprofessional they said to call them after we went passed the bridge and they said it would be 40 minutes and we were floating for hours. I was in a party of 8 and the guy who came to pick us up came with a sedan that could hold only 4 people. We had to get our one of our family members to pick us up. Never going here again! read more

This is definitely the place to go if you are planning to float down the Deschutes River. Their prices are competitive and they have lots of different floatation devices to rent. You can keep the float for up to 24hrs. We rented a lounge raft for 8 people and it was very comfortable with room to spare. They threw in a floating cooler for our food and sandbags incase we wanted to anchor in the middle of the river. The process is simple. We dropped off a car where we would exit the river and then drove to the shop to pick a float. Then they brought the float to the launching dock about 1/4 mile away from the shop. We also parked the second car here. Then we floated down the river as long as we wanted, deflated the float when we were done, dropped it off at the shop, and picked up the car at the starting point. This was definitely the highlight of our trip to Sunriver. There are other options where you can drop the raft off right at the marina you exit, but they don't have much selection and we could definitely tell what we had was more comfortable. I highly recommend Sunriver ToyHouse for this activity. read more

Great service by family owned/run business here, reasonable rental rates, courtesy car to help shuttle ours to take out point. The only snag we came across was there was no carseat for toddler in courtesy car but we made it work since we have a teen to babysit for 20-30 min while husband and I did the quick jaunt down to Sunriver Marina to drop off our car. Rented an inflatable island with a mesh bottom in center which was perfect for our family of 5, youngest only 2.5yrs. At take out point...easy deflate and haul back by 5pm or next morning. They provided us with coolers/dry bags, otter pops, water squirt toys, paddles, life jackets...plus gave us a lift and hauled our island to put us in the water a 1/4 mi up the road! We did a lot of activities in Sunriver and everyone claimed the afternoon on the river as their favorite! read more

Like the others I can't say enough good things about this place! The owner and the employee we dealt with were more than accommodating, letting us borrow their car to drop off our car... Did I mention their car was a Lexus?? Sweet! We were made aware of all of the best practices (do not forego the extra safety tube - it's a must, personal experience, just ask. it's scenic on this stretch of the Deschutes and had an incredibly fun float! Dave, the owner, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the river and surroundings. We were looking to kayak and he pointed out a great spot in the river we could loop. He even offered us a free bike rental if we wanted to set up a bike/car shuttle system. He tied the kayak on our roof and our way out, he lent us a bottle of sunscreen and bug spray. We ended up going too far down the river and at a loss of energy to paddle all the way back upstream. We hitched a ride from some really nice locals and called Dave to explain the situation. His generosity came through again when he stayed 30 minutes past close on Memorial Day! He told us he would have picked us up if we had called. When we explained that we didn't take our phones, he offered us a free dry pack to take next time. This place was awesome!!! They were very accommodating to our late tubing trip (we got on the river at 5:30pm). They even let us borrow a car to drop off our truck at the marina...then they dropped us at the river to start our adventure! Great prices and the nicest staff ever!!
