We had a terrible guide & no real tour, apparently something has changed since prior trips. We paid essentially for a 2 hr bike rental around Bend with no information of use from our "guide." Our friend had done 2 prior tours with Scott as tour guide & said they were fabulous. We had a great short and sweet tour with Scott. All bikes were in great shape and ready to go. He let us use the cargo bike so we could bring the kids along also. Fitted us with helmets. We stopped at a park and let the kids run for a few minutes while we took a break. He also told us some awesome history and facts around the city. The few extra dollars for the tour was worth it, if we had rented alone, we'd just be driving around looking for paths and such. read more

Nicest group of people ever. I originally brought in another brand of bike for repairs. It was a strange warranty which had to get the part from Hong Kong. The mechanic did a great job repairing it. I sold that bike since I really wanted a bike that was from a locally owned bike shop. They put up with my idiosyncrasies ( OCD ) when choosing between 2 of their bikes. Just got back from an awesome weekend in Bend (we'll definitely be back soon). While walking around town on Friday afternoon we thought it'd be great to see the town by bike. Ended up walking into Pedego to ask some questions (Michelle, Ryan and Scott were all great) and left their 30 minutes later renting e-bikes for the entire weekend. Our sole mode of transportation and was the best decision we could have made. Highly recommend! And Michelle made it clear we could call her on her cell should we run into any issues (we didn't) and she'd resolve immediately. We had a great self guided bike adventure when in Bend, OR thanks to staff at Pedego Electric. We got there close to end of the day, but we were able to sneak in a tour to see folks floating and surfing on the river and ride through the beautiful park. My sister and I booked a 2 hour bike tour with Pedego. It was our first time using electric. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. They adjusted our bikes and went over on how to use the electric bike as well as safety of roads. Michelle was our guide. She was very knowledgeable about Bend and it's history. We made several stops as she pointed out historic landmarks, places to eat and popular local spots. She tools through historical neighborhoods as well. We booked the 2 hour river tour with Michelle, who was super friendly and laid back...took us on a nice ride out toward Mount Bachelor to the forest visitor center along the excellent bike paths, then through the riverfront park district and some back streets, explaining some history about Bend and the local historic buildings. Good way to see some parts of Bend you might not see as a visitor. E-Bikes were in top shape with full-charges and good brakes and tires. The only improvements we would suggest are some more instructions on the use of the gear shifter and the relation to the e-power with the throttle. We were experienced e-bikers, but for beginners or those new to e-bikes with gear selectors, more thorough walk-through of the operations of the controls would help the newbies who could get confused heading out into roadways with cars and stop lights right out of the shop location. Overall a fun and nice way to get out onto a breezy bike-ride tour to see some nice parts of Bend. Thank you Michelle! read more

First time in Bend, and my tour with Courtney was nothing short of perfect. She was so friendly, informative, and thoughtful, flexible too! Since I had done another tour the day before, she catered our trip route so I could see the other side of Bend. It was awesome! We checked out the surrounding areas on a Pedego Electric Bikes, which made all the difference in my understanding of Bend as a place. We were comfortable, could stop, take pictures and chat whenever we wanted. New to Bend, we decided to take a bike tour through the neighborhoods to get a better feel of the area. We had a blast! Courtney, our guide, made us feel very comfortable and safe riding through town. This was our first time riding the electric bikes and we were impressed; this made riding up hill in the older neighborhoods more enjoyable. This was a dual purpose event. We wanted something fun to do, and my wife really wanted to check out the powered tandems. We booked a morning history of Bend tour and arrived just before 10 at the shop. We were greeted by Courtney who opened the shop and had us come in and finish the paperwork while she got the bikes ready. There were two other people on our tour, so a small group for the morning tour. Once everyone was ready we headed out on our little adventure, making stops along the way so Courtney could show us some historical photos and talk about the history of some of the more famous locations in Bend. Most memorable was the talk about the "Floats" that took place each year along the river ending in Mirror Pond. She also provided us with insight into the early lumber mills, and some of the homes of the early workers, and upper class. Overall it was a very enjoyable tour and the electric bikes took most of the work out of the travel. We did enjoy the tandem and will probably look at adding one to our collection. Highly recommend this tour if you are looking for something fun and interesting to do while you are in Bend. read more

My wife is not an avid biker so the idea of an electric bike ride during our short stay in Bend was inviting. The fact that Pedego offered tours made the decision a no-brainer. Scott, the manager offered us a choice of bikes that best suited our comfort and allowed plenty of time for us to familiarize ourselves to this new bike before the 1-1/2 hr tour started. Was in town for a class reunion and took the local history tour to have some fun and reacquaint myself with Bend. I had such a blast that several weeks later I drug my wife and daughter along for another tour. We had a great time! Bend is very scenic, the bikes were a real pleasure to ride, and Kevin had the scoop on interesting spots and stories. He even volunteered to ride a tandem bike with my daughter who is autistic and won't ride a bike on her own. It's an 8 mile tour ride that takes you around the Deschutes river, Old Bend, Old Mill District and Downtown Bend while going over the rich history of this city. Their bikes are one of a kind with little motors on them to make the tour more luxurious. The views of the river and the snow on the mountains were stunning. I would recommend this tour for anyone with a sense of adventure and new to Bend. You can purchase these unique motor bikes with a starting price tag of $1850.00! We had researched electric bikes, and chose to visit Let It Ride because they were a dealer for both of the bikes we were interested in buying (Igo based in Canada & Evelo, from New York). Kevin, the owner of Let It Ride was so helpful and gracious in his correspondence with us prior to our visit, as well as in person at the time of the tour.
