Bicycles can be simple and they can be complicated, but most of all, they are fun. Bike shops have this unique challenge and The Hub does a great job of striking this awesome balance because they get it. I ran into some challenges when assembling a road bike that I bought online as a frame and set of parts. I brought the bike to The Hub a few times towards the end of the project. TJ was very helpful each time. He took his time with the questions that I had. I feel very fortunate to have this really sweet bike shop right around the corner. read more

The Hub Cyclery - Bikes Near Me - Bend, Oregon

My road bike wouldn't shift with the front derailleur so I assumed the cable broke in the brake housing. Brought it in to The Hub Cyclery and after inspecting it TJ (the owner) found that the it was only the cable set screw that some how loosened after many years. All he had to do was tighten it and adjust the shifting. Great that TJ was so up front about this. I will be going here from now on for any of my bike service or needs. Great shop and besides mountain bikes they do great work on road bikes as well. He even welcomed working on a Campagnolo groupset! Thanks Again!! read more

The Hub Cyclery - Set screw that somehow loosened up... - Bikes Near Me - Bend, Oregon

TJ is the best. I called right before they closed on Thursday, hoping to squeeze in two tune-up packages for a new bike and one we'd just shipped out from the East Coast. He made it happen, fitting us in on Friday and getting both bikes done by end of the day so we could ride all weekend as planned. The service wasn't just your basic tune-up either, it felt super personalized. TJ dialed everything in exactly the way we needed and even found a few things we didn't catch and just took care of it. You can tell he's stoked on what he does and wants to make sure you're set up to shred. Honestly, this is how every bike shop should be, friendly, down to earth, and just as excited about riding as their customers. I totally get why he's got such great reviews all over town. Highly recommend! read more

TJ is awesome very friendly and experienced bike mechanic/shop owner. I met him riding at Mt. Bachelor and I will now go to The Hub Cyclery for all of my mountain bike maintenance and upgrades. read more

This is by far our favorite bike shop in town! TJ is one of the most knowledgeable down to earth guys I know. I'm always treated with a warm smile and a cold beer (pre Covid) they have worked on everything from tune ups and brake adjustments on vintage BMX bikes to upgrades on my specialized. Their prices are extremely fair and competitive with other bike shops. They are also a big sponsor for the local BMX community. They can fix anything. The bikes they have on display in the shop will take you right back to your childhood. If you need a bike tune up or just want to walk down memory lane, stop in the shop downtown. read more

I had a great experience with TJ. I was in town for a few days of mountain biking, and needed repairs to my brakes in a hurry. When he didn't have a part he needed, he recommended some other local shops that might have it in stock. One of them did and I brought it right back to TJ, and he got to work. He had everything installed and tested within a couple of hours. He even noticed and fixed an issue with my rear derailleur that I hadn't even mentioned. He really went above and beyond to take care of me, and was a pleasure to work with. I'm only bummed that don't live here and can't rely on him for all my bike maintenance! read more

We had a problem with our bike and we're in a time crunch (1 week). We went somewhere that said we would have to do something expensive and would take 3 weeks, so we went to hub and met TJ (very friendly). He diagnosed the problem quickly and said we could do it in a week. It was inexpensive and we got the bike in a week to go ride. Highly recommend. read more

I recently purchased several handlebar grips here. The salesperson guided me to grips that were the right price point for what I needed (i.e., not too pricey) and gave me advice on what to use to easily slide them on the handles and make them stick. It looks like they've got lots of other great bike merchandise here, so I'll return the next time I need some bike gear when I'm in Bend! read more

Happy to give a shout out to T.J. And his team. Needed some quick work done on two bikes and he got me taken care it quickly, again. I have been working with them since just after they opened the store. Fast, courteous service and a deep knowledge of all things bikes. Thanks, gang! read more

Finding a bike shop that takes such great care of you and your bikes seems to be a rare thing these days. The guys at Hub, however, are here to ensure you're a priority and pay special attention to the details necessary when it comes to the bike purchase and maintenance process. I've purchase several bikes from Hub, including a custom build where they worked with me every step of the way, ensuring everything was exactly as I wanted. When any of my bikes need a little TLC, they're quick to get me in and take great care of me, not resting until any issues are taken care of. Between the amazing customer service and convenient Downtown Bend location, there's no other place to ever buy or take a bike in for repair than Hub. read more
