We were looking for a mountain bike for my wife so she can stop listening to the ride stories and start being apart of them. We saw a bike there that was exactly what we were looking for and were pretty much ready to swipe that plastic. The owner insisted that we take the bike around the parking lot a few times to make sure the fit was just right. We were visiting Bend and looking to float the River. Found this place searching google for float rentals. The owner was working when we came in and was super helpful and friendly. He pulled out a map and explained to us how floating the Deschutes worked and the start and end points and how to get back once our float ended. He even shut down the shop to drive us to the launch spot with our rental, since we couldn't fit it in my car. Costumer service doesn't get better than that! read more

Purchased a new KHS 24 inch Mt Bike for my daughter. we went to about 5 shops in town when looking for her new bike. We liked this place the best as we felt not rushed at all. When we arrived both the Dad and the older son were there. The older Son spent the time with Savannah letting her look, making suggestions and letting her ride what is now her new bike. She loves it. If you buy online don't expect any communication from this guy! I don't know about the in store experience, but I couldn't get any response from the owner, Marty as to the status of my order. Read on...I saw a ski I wanted to try on their website, but it was 3 years old and was curious why they had it. After several calls with no answer I gave up. Shortly after, I received a call from Marty saying he saw I had called. We had a nice conversation about skis and the industry and I asked if he could sell the ski a little less and he gave me a descent price so I took it. He took my visa card on the phone and said it would be shipped right away and I would have it by Friday. A week later with no ski and no email for confirmation, I called the store several times with no answer. I was busy at work and my girlfriend offered to call. She didn't get through either, so she emailed. The next day with no email response she called several times and he finally answered with a disgusted voice "why do you keep calling!" She replied, "why don't you just answer then". She asked about the skis and he said "why didn't you email me" and she said "I did, you didn't respond!", then he said "they were shipped 2 days ago". She asked for the routing number and he gave her a USPS number that when queried read "a label had been created, awaiting item". So it didn't seem it had been shipped! I checked the number a few days later on Monday and Tuesday (almost 2 weeks from order) and it said the same thing "awaiting item". So, I called Tuesday several times with no answer and finally left another message asking "what's going on with the skis Marty, credit my Visa if you haven't sent the skis"? Wednesday with no response, I checked the routing number and it is due for delivery...in MD. I live in CO! So the routing number either wasn't correct or they weren't shipped! Today, Wednesday I received the skis! The thing is, why didn't he just communicate with me? I was about to file a dispute on my to my credit card. read more

Buyer beware!! Bought a $3500.00 KHS Mountain bike. Within the first year the front shock sucked down and wouldn't release. They had my shock for almost 3 months and kept giving me the run around and never called me to update me. I called and the boy miraculously found my shock. He said the charge was $178.00 and I of course said "For What?" it was a warranty repair!!! The boy said it's simple; "No Pay .. No Shock".. They never notified me about the charge until the work was done and the shock was returned. I never had a chance to ok the charge or for that matter refuse the work. When I got there, the charge went up to $200.00. He said the warranty was voided because someone open the shock and dirt and hair got inside. My guess is that one of his boys that sees himself as a bike technician took the shock apart not knowing how to do it and voided the warranty. Nightmare business practices from shockingly unethical people. Don't make the same mistake I made. read more
