I turned to the good folks at Skjersaa's to outfit me in some new skis. I reserved online for $50/day since I brought my own boots. They add-on poles for free and were great to consult on what might improve my skiing experience I ended up on a pair of Head all mountain skis that performed nicely in all conditions from crusty mornings, to bumps to soft spring snow. They offered as many tryouts as I wanted in the time I was there which although impractical, sounded nice should I want more options. They were quick to get me setup. Doors were open at 8am and I felt well cared for while I was there. It's a great full-service bike and ski shop and it's been a local staple for years. All the things should you travel and forget gear and likely a great spot for locals to get great quality gear and repairs near the entrance to the mountain.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt we took them back and they tried to make It right. All though not the best tune, they tried to fix their mistake. Fast forward to today. Although they were friendly,the fitting and the customer service when we told them of the issues and the response "oh well that's ski rental" comment was unacceptable. The worst part is when my wife told the lady of her experience and the issue with the boot fit. The associate said those boos are a super narrow fit. He had me try on a couple different brands but told me from the very beginning that I think I would like the k2 the best. He was totally right. They always have sales and cool events. Love going there on first Friday. Best staff ever, great location. Only thing is I wish they played snowboard/ skate videos on a tv. Kids these days only see instagram clips. It would be cool for kid to walk into a shop and be able to see a video like "yeah right" or "TB 8" Just weird to me when skate shops aren't playing skate videos.

I picked it up// and the small rock scuff came which was the primary reason I brought it in was still there-- so maybe they waxed it. But if the did they didn't buff it. There is no apparent managed at this place. I think that's part of the issue. The other shops in town -- particularly the west village lodge at bachelor are much better. I won't be back unless I'm desperate.

The rack was a little disorganized and I found a harness I liked and checked the price on the box: $94. When I left the store, I noticed I paid $104 for the item! I returned to the store and did a price check and was told by the clerk this was a tariff price increase and they never bothered to update the sticker on the item. They claimed they had the correct price on the shelf, not the item. (Due to the disorganization of the shelf, it was hard to tell which item was which and I went with the price on the box.) Please consider updating signage to warn of tariff price hikes or something to better manage customer expectations and avoid wasting time.
