The sales person was very good and had my wife step on the foot machine and then got different pairs of shoes to try on. After trying on Brooks, New Balance and a few others she decided to pick up the Brooks. Service was great and with the amount of customers walking in they had enough sales person to meet the customer's needed without a long wait time. I could hardly walk in to Footzone and explained my acute and severe foot pain to the gentleman working there and he brought out 6 or 7 different shoes for me to try- telling me in detail about each one- patiently waiting for me to try them and walk around in them. I ended up choosing the very FIRST shoe he wanted me to try. He also found some insoles for me to try, and even some HOKA sandals to wear at home to support my feet. The BEST PART is when I finally was able to see a podiatrist she was SO pleased with the shoes he had recommended, AND she was pleased with the house sandals, AND she was especially happy with the insoles and said, "they fit me like a glove." Colton approached me to ask if I needed help, was understanding, enthusiastic, encouraging and immediately knowledgeable about the heel pain I was experiencing. I went there hoping for help with my foot pain and got it. He scanned my feet in a cool device (right out of Minority Report) and with a trained eye, told me a lot about my feet. He then found three good options and foot beds. Just putting the shoes on my feet felt better. I'm sure it helped this was Friday at lunch time and few folks were in the store. I love a well run small business and I got a great hit off of Footzone in Bend. I was there during a big sale (most shoes were 40% off) and it was a bit of a madhouse! Even in the chaos there was great customer service and a ton of cool running shoes, apparel and accessories. They carry my favorite Brooks running shoes, as well as Sacony, Vasque, Mizuno, Montrail, Asics, etc. Nice display case advertising all of the running and competitive events in Central Oregon and a treadmill so you could test shoes before you buy. I also groove on their mission statement: "We're proud to be a healthy small business. We make a profit from selling shoes. We profit off of our customers. We also run, bike, ski, drink coffee and beer; eat baked goods and grocery shop with our customers. We live in this community and try to be a positive part of it. As I've aged, my feet have turned on me. It's become more difficult to find shoes wide enough and roomy enough in the toe box to not cause chafing. Among other foot issues, I finally wound up having the front part of the right foot amputated. So, in an effort to fit some new shoes, Yelp led me to FootZone yesterday. After 'splaining my needs to Mandy, she came up with some US-made New Balance shoes that fit the bill. One size 11 6E for Lefty, one size 10 6E for Righty. The fit seemed right, and off I went; but with the expense of buying two pairs to fit my needs. BUT, after returning home and wearing the new shoes a bit, it became clear Righty, though now shortened, still chafed in the size 10 shoe. I returned today where Colleen helped me; and it turned out the size 11 shoe worked better. So she credited my account for the size 10 shoes, even though I'd worn one home. My fiancé went to FootZone this morning to find some good running shoes not really expecting to come out as happy as we did! I was expecting to guess on what shoe looked best but instead we got full service from Will! He was so helpful, found us our perfect size and fit. We got compression gear to prevent shin splints and inserts for my high arch. He listened to our concerns, had patience with us and helped us choose what was right for us. Footzone Bend is one of those places you just want to hang out all day in. If they put in a coffee shop I may never leave. Super helpful staff that goes literally out of their way to help you. I fell in love with a pair of Stance running socks but they were out of my size. Right away the sales associate offered to order the correct size and have them sent to my house. Super awesome! They also have literally everything you could need for running or multisport. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, and gave us ideas for running and riding routes. Love it! Not only do they have the best service of any shoe store in Bend, they have the best service of any store of any kind in Bend. We've been coming here for 6 years and every person we've dealt with has been patient, knowledgeable and friendly. As a 2-3x a week jogger I've been intimidated by other running stores where they bark "Tell me about your stride!" before dismissing you as not serious enough for their time. The prices are higher than Amazon, but when I go in I typically try on 10-20 shoes, with lots of advice and attention, and buy 2-3 pairs. Can't get that kind of service online. read more

This review is long over due but anyways I have to bring Ali to everyone's attention! A few months back I was on the search for some good shoes. Walking into Footzone can be intimidating will all the options and not being very knowledgeable about the brands. Ali was the first person to welcome me into this establishment. She was very polite with informing me I could come to her if I had any questions. After looking at options not really sure what I was doing I got the courage to ask her to enlighten me on some products. She first started off with asking what I was looking for. She didn't stick with showing me one product but showed me multiple. She went over a lot of things with me overall. I could tell she was very knowledgeable on the products. I knew she was really trying to help me find something that would work for me. After I picked out a few options she measured my feet to make sure I got the correct size and even fit the shoes on for me properly to test out. She continued to talk to me about the shoes I had on. I was constantly learning more with her around. I ended up leaving with two different pairs of shoes. I was still a little uneasy once I got home but the confidence wasn't completely gone because of how knowledgeable she seemed. I truly did leave with a smile and hope that I might have finally found a good shoe for me. After weeks went by I can say 100% confidently that the shoes I got are amazing!
