I wanted to try this restaurant since it was recommended by a friend of mine who is obviously not Peruvian. She swore it was really good. I was hungry and so looking forward to trying this new place for me. Unfortunately I was very disappointed! I was surprised the food was ready in less than 5 min. I ordered "Papa la Ocopa"and to my surprise the potatoes were almost frozen and hard, not fresh at all! I ordered a "Seco de Res" and first the beef had a sauce that looked black when it's supposed to be green since the main ingredient was cilantro! But when is reheated it turns black! We came on Labor Day around 3 PM, and got ceviche criollo (mixto), Ocopa, and Pulpo Anticuchado. The ceviche was super fresh, with a nice mix of fish, shrimp, squid, octopus, and mussels. I added some Aji Amarillo to the ceviche, but we had asked for it mild. The Ocopa was really delicious, with the flavors of Huacatay and peanuts shining through. The Octopus (pulpo) was super tender and flavorful. We will be coming back to try other dishes on their menu! read more

I had a craving for peruvian food, amd so i looked at yelp for peruvian food. The resturant had good reviews and nice pictures so i thought hey lets try it. We ordered in a Thursday when we picked up we notice there were no clients in the restaurant so we get our order on time. We order pulpo anticuchado it was a nice portion. When i tried it it was rubbery, very salty. You really have to know how to prepare the octopus. You can see the cook had no idea what he was doing. My boyfriend after a bite declined to eat any more of it. And for 23.00$ i expected more. The main course i order pescado a lo macho. I was surprise to see it came with different boxes one for sauce one for fish. I guess they didn't wanted the fish to be saugi, ok. The sauce was practically a bullion with some uncooked shrimp and calamari. The sauce was more of a yellow soup. You can see the fish was barely fried, and the chef did not waited for the sauce to be reduce. It tasted like soup with sea food on top of a try out of fried fish. Maybe for the American client it is ok, but for someone who ate the dish in Peruvian restaurants in Miami, its defiantly not to a standard of the fish. No wonder the Thursday was empty on a Thursday. Last dish, was lomo saltado with kinoa And fries. Thank God my boyfriemd ate it. The meat looked decent. But the fries..... omg!! They were frozen fries that the chef did not even fried them? Maybe he used air fryer? Really? The restaurant cannot even prepare me a decent fries? The restaurant is to lazy to cut some potatoes and make a decent dish? Maybe next time sell me some Macdonald's fries, i am sure they would be better than what they served. The kinoa was decent. In the end we pays 90.00$ without desert and drinks. Never returning again. What an awesome ceviche I had for a late lunch today. The Peruvian beer (Cuzqueña) is one of the best pilsners out there. We where taken care of by Cinthya who was very courteous and did a great job satisfying and suggesting our luncheon. And I almost forgot, the chicha morada was great!!!! read more

I usually go to Sr. Ceviche in Pembroke Pines, and I always have a great experience, so after visiting some friends in Pompano my family and I decided to try this location. The service was good, but I ordered the fried snapper, and I only could eat less than half of it, because it was raw in the middle. Our server talked to the manager, and the only thing they did was to talk to the chef. Nobody offered any replacement or apologized. And they charged us for it. Really disappointed. read more

I have been ordering the same thing from Sr. Ceviche Lighthouse Point for the past two years. Leche de Tigre (Medium spice) and Arroz Chaufa Steak and Chicken. My order has been messed up twice now. There was little fish in the leche de tigre, and there was no spice. There were more scallions in the Arroz Chaufa than protein. I repeated my order twice to ensure accuracy, and even ordered extra yellow spicy sauce but it was not done. Very disappointing, I won't be ordering from them again. read more
