If you're craving a seafood boil, you can't go wrong with Crafty Crab. The Pompano location has terrific service. Our waiter was friendly and quick. We got oysters to share as a table which came with all the dressings and tasted fresh. My seafood boil also tasted fresh and was seasoned perfectly. We came all the way from Ohio to Florida for vacation, and this was the first restaurant we decided to try on our first night. Unfortunately, it ended up being a huge disappointment. after our group finished our meal, we saw two different roaches Within about five minutes --one crawling on the booth we were sitting in and another crawling on the wall right next to us. It was absolutely disgusting and completely ruined the experience. Seeing roaches in the dining area made us seriously question the cleanliness of the restaurant. read more

Went here last night, one of my coworkers was craving fish. I'm always down for fish or beter said, Seafood. I had not heard of this establishment and I'm always game to try a new spot. So Crafty Crab it was. The menu looked mouth watering...but I picked the 1/2 lbs headless shrimp and the crab meat fries. The shrimps were amazing, and the fries were alright in my opinion. Next time I rather go for the full pound of shrimp or make a combination meal. Service was helpful in guiding us through the menu, and friendly. Overall a good experience at Crafty Crab, and I'll be back for some more seafood. read more

Dine In, Bib Up, Glove Up, and Dig In! It's always a Super chill, laid back feel on Friday or Saturday. The locals and the tourists enjoy great seafood, wings and drinks. I love the huge bar and the DJ always sets the mood for the weekend baby!!! It's a pretty big restaurant so the wait time has never been an issue, which is always a plus. The restaurant was easy to find. It has a big parking area. The restaurant was larger inside than I thought. It's a good place for groups. They do karaoke here one day of the week. It's nice inside. It is colorful and beachy inside. With many crabs all around. The menu was pretty good. I chose to build my own plate. Which means I choose the amount of heat and what I like. I was happy with my meal. They didn't have the instrument to crush the crabs. They gave me scissors and told me to use the handle. That didn't work for me. The staff was great. I found the customer service very good. We did not have to wait long for the food. read more

I stop to get a snow crab cluster to-go sometimes and have never been disappointed. I like the crafty Cajun sauce mixed with lemon pepper. I wish there were more menu items with fiber. After eating all that butter & fried flour, I don't always feel the best. read more

First time here for lunch with my husband. CC opened about one month ago. We were greeted by a sweet hostess who took us a nice booth. Server came right over with two ice waters. Friendly and asked if we needed help or suggestions, nice! We said we're good, just going to look over the menu. Beautiful, casual, large restaurant, a big bar with the largest TV I've ever seen! Husband had the shrimp boil and I had the one lobster tail boil with potatoes. All delicious. It was two o'clock and quiet ,I'm sure it picks up for dinner, and season is coming! My couple of suggestions... Offer butter with zero garlic. Offer a chilled shrimp cocktail and shrimp that's been peeled, oh and unsweetened iced tea! Absolutely horrible service. Really bad. Maybe it was because it was the end of the night but Jordan W was our server and he was just not good. He went to every other table besides ours and took forever to even get us the check. We signaled to him and he came 10 minutes later. I finally had a chance to come here since they've opened. I was looking forward to a local boil place.. I walked in the door on a Sunday evening at 6 o'clock. The first thing I noticed is how empty it was. I was greeted by a group of young women standing at the door who took about two minutes before they acknowledge that I was standing there, and it was not busy at all. I was seated on the far end of the restaurant there was only one other table there It took a good five minutes until my server came over to greet me. She was wearing a hooded sweatshirt which I thought was odd. I knew what I wanted so I ordered quickly They don't provide you with real silverware so it's all plastic and paper of course She did bring a scissor for crab, but it kept twisting I had to ask for a crab cracker, you know the hard metal thing that's like a nut She did return with it fairly quickly The boil was tasty, but everything is pretty much à la carte Definitely not worth the price Definitely not worth the service Not a place I would come back to read more

We came at 1.30 pm on Saturday and there was no guest seated in the restaurant. The hostess greated us right away and asked us to wait a minute. Then when she came back and she asked us to wait again and grabbed the phone that was ringing. First time here and it was above my expectations. We ordered a large bag of shrimp and three different types of crab, corn and potatoes were included. This was our first southern crab boil. The crab was sweet and succulent, and the shrimp were large and plentiful. We ordered one dish for under $50 and it was a lot of food but we finished every bite. This was our third visit to Crafty Crab and once again the food, service and ambiance was great. Perfect place for seafood. Some of the sides like onion rings and fries need a little work, but overall, a really nice place and we will be back again. I was out Christmas shopping and needed a little snack so I stopped in and sat at the bar. They don't have Woodford Reserve so I couldn't get a Kentucky Mule. I had a ginger beer - which is so refreshing! I ordered 6 lemon / pepper oysters and was really disappointed. The oysters were a little over-cooked and definitely over-seasoned completely eliminating their normally sweet / briny flavor. Topping that off, the barmaid starting complaining to me that the other lady spent "too much time" carving the beautiful orange garnish for my drink and hopefully no one expected that of her. I got tired of listening to her gripe about someone taking pride in their work and said "I'm not sure of your job requirements, but I appreciate the extra effort to make something nice" which shut her up. I then told the other lady that I loved the garnish and appreciated her extra efforts. Her face lit up!! Further, I want silver, actual forks and spoons ... NOT plastic. Nine of us went to this location to celebrate my daughter's college graduation and we were not disappointed. The boils were delicious, the fried food done right, the hush puppies, amazing.
