When you walk in the ambiance is warm and inviting. It is nice for a date or to go with a small group of family or friends. My boyfriend and I tried the ceviche called Cholo Power, the lomo saltado and the risotto huancaina lomo saltado. To start we had canchas which were nice and warm with a spicy but yummy sauce. The ceviche tasted fresh, the sauce was delicious to the last drop. The lomo saltado was juicy and tasty, the fries were crunchy and they served the rice on the side. My favorite was the risotto huancaina lomo saltado. I would say it's the best risotto I've ever had at a Peruvian restaurant. Our server Fabio was knowledgeable and kind. The loma salted came with rice and fries- though the fries were delicious it was a tad carb heavy and when i took the fries off the plate there really was t much chicken or veggies left. The green sauce was delicious. I also ordered the sarsa criolla. It was ok but lacked flavor. Zero stars if I could. This was, without question, the worst customer service and client care experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I made a reservation for 9:45 PM and drove all the way from Boca Raton to dine here. Throughout the evening, I communicated with the restaurant multiple times -- a total of four calls between both sides. Every single time, the reservation was confirmed, and I was told the restaurant closed at 10 PM. I specifically explained that I would likely arrive around 9:55 PM and asked whether that would be an issue. The response I received was: "The restaurant closes at 10 PM. You just need to order fast." I agreed and even mentioned that I already knew exactly what I wanted to order. At around 9:40 PM, while only a few minutes away, I called again trying to help the staff by placing the order over the phone since they had mentioned the kitchen closing at 10 PM. They took my order and confirmed everything was fine. I arrived at exactly 9:59 PM, only to be told by an employee named Flavio that they would not seat us and that the order would need to be "to go." He then admitted the order had not even been placed despite previously confirming it over the phone. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he repeatedly argued that "you're late." When I explained that I had communicated with the restaurant the entire time, that the reservation itself was for 9:45 PM, and that virtually every restaurant allows a short grace period for arrival, I was met with complete disrespect. The most shocking part was when Flavio responded by saying, "It's not my problem that you drove from Boca." That level of treatment toward a customer is unacceptable. I asked if he was the manager and he said no. And I said that it makes sense because a manager would never had treated a client like this. A restaurant should not offer 9:45 PM reservations if the kitchen closes at 10 PM and there is absolutely no flexibility or tolerance for arrival time. More importantly, staff should know how to communicate with customers respectfully and professionally when issues arise. What makes this even more disappointing is that I used to recommend this restaurant to many people and visited frequently when I lived in Fort Lauderdale. Unfortunately, after the way I was treated tonight, I would never recommend this place again. To make matters worse, it appears my reservation was intentionally canceled afterward, seemingly to prevent me from leaving a review through the reservation platform. I rarely leave negative reviews, but the way this situation was handled -- from the lack of professionalism to the complete disrespect toward a paying customer -- deserves to be addressed publicly. We skipped traditional appetizers and snacked on cancha ("big corn") served with a green aji sauce. The corn was toasted until light and fluffy, while the sauce brought a garlicky, herby heat that lingered just enough to keep things interesting. For entrées, we ordered the beef lomo saltado and the risotto huancaína lomo. Both dishes delivered the rich, comforting flavors you'd expect--savory, satisfying, and excellently prepared. This is the kind of food that feels familiar and exciting at the same time and will keep me coming back for more! Service was spotty for the amount of tables, we looked for our server multiple times. The Pico sour was yummy. We had a unique app, which had avocado, mashed potatoes and cut up shrimp that was presented in a round shape with sauce on it, we enjoyed. Dinner I had corvina with steamed veggies. One of the best parts of visiting South Florida is the incredible variety of food you get to experience, and Peruvian cuisine has become a must-have for us over the years. We first discovered it in Hollywood Beach, FL, and have been huge fans ever since. Unfortunately, our three favorite Peruvian spots have all permanently closed, so on this trip we were on the hunt for a worthy replacement--and that led us to Aromas del Peru. Right off the bat, things started strong. There was plenty of parking (not always easy to find in South Florida), the restaurant was easy to locate, and we were greeted immediately with no wait to be seated. Our server was friendly, welcoming, and very efficient throughout the meal. For drinks, we both ordered the passion fruit piscojito, and wow--the presentation alone was an 11/10. Even better, the drink itself was incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced. I have a serious weakness for Risotto Huancaína Lomado, and Aromas del Peru's version absolutely held its own against some of the best I've had. The risotto was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, and the steak was cooked exactly to order (medium). Overall, our experience was wonderful from start to finish. Aromas del Peru has officially earned a spot on our must-visit list, and we'll definitely be back on future trips to the area. read more

I was able to make a reservation on a Sunday evening though OpenTable. I heard that it was inside a gated community, so I called them to find out how to park. I actually got an AI assistant to answer and tell me where to park. When I arrived, I was greeted immediately and sat in the bar. My bartender suggested the Pisco Sour (15 dollars), which is their famous Peruvian drink. While it wasn't that strong, it was still a very nice drink, and pretty sour with the liquor and lime juice. It was prepared very professionally with nice decorations as well. Just with that, it was worth the 15 dollars. For my entree, I decided to do something light and try the mixed traditional ceviche. It was fresh with various types of seafood like calamari, octopus, fish, and shrimp. Each fish was enjoyable with the citrus sauce they had. There was salad and corn, but the corn wasn't sweet. Both were still enjoyable! I couldn't leave without having dessert, so I tried the passion fruit mousse, which was on the sour side, but still light and refreshing. I don't think I had a sour dessert that I enjoyed more than here. The service was very friendly and professional. My bartender took great care of me and made sure I was enjoying everything. Since it was a Sunday, it wasn't too crowded, which I could hear the hip background music instead. While I sat in the bar, there was a nice dining area as well as outdoor seating too. Best of all, parking was validated, so you just had to scan the tag and you were out. I haven't had much Peruvian food before and I am so happy this introduced me to it. It was fresh, creative, and delicious. Even though it was a bit upscale, is wasn't too expensive either. And it was walking distance from the beach. Glad I finally got to try this spot. Came here with my family on a Sunday evening. It looks nice inside. The food was good but the portions were not generous especially considering that the prices were on the high side. The service was pleasant although everything felt a bit rushed. I tried Huancaina con lomo - this was a beef lomo saltado mixed with risotto in a spicy creamy sauce. It was my first time trying the huancaina and I really enjoyed it. Very flavorful. The lomo was good as well. I've had lomo combo dishes at nice Peruvian spots in the past for the same price but was given more protein at these other places. Still a great dish, just feel it should have had more protein. 4/5 ($29) For appetizer we had their shrimp causa which was good but so small. There were 4 of us and we each had one or two bites surprisingly small portion for an $18 appetizer. I also had some of their salmon, which was cooked to perfection. Their Parillero roll was also tasty but on the pricier side as well. We also had their mint lemonade which was charged as a mocktail at $11 each, these were also good, but again, overpriced. We enjoyed our food but considering the high prices it would have been nice to not feel so rushed and be given a chance to sort of mellow out and enjoy ourselves. Had we not felt so rushed and they were a bit more generous with their portions this place could easily be a perfect 5. It's still worth a visit if you're in the area. read more

This place is officially one of my new favorites! The food was absolutely delicious, you could taste how fresh every single ingredient was. The presentation? Stunning. The dishes looked like artwork and the flavors lived up to every bit of it. Rich, perfectly balanced, and so satisfying. The portions were more than enough (honestly could've shared), and every bite had me wanting more. You can tell the chefs really put love and skill into the plating and preparation. We went there Saturday night April 11 around 6:20 PM as we were staying in Pompano for a vacation stay. We wanted a more exclusive restaurant experience for my friend's birthday. Although the location and food were good, the waiter we had that night was very disappointing. He never told us his name, never made recommendations nor telling us about specials about the menu nor drinks. It was like pulling teeth... We asked for water and he looked frustrated that we asked for tap water vs. bottled. He kept coming back asking if we were ready for drinks. Felt very pressured. At the end I asked one of the friendly girls if they offered some birthday desserts as I came back from the restrooms which she did, Thank goodness... The whole experience with the waiter made this event very dissatisfying. The best Peruvian restaurant in Florida. We first came here in March of 2025 and the last time we've been here was in June of 2025, so far between those months we have been here four times. Their food is very flavorful and good. I usually find Peruvian restaurants to either be flavorful and delicious or bland; Aromas Del Peru is on the flavorful and delicious side. I usually get their Arroz Con Mariscos(Paella). The Paella is really delicious and flavorful, it is the best Paella I have tried. The corn, pickled onions, calamari, vegetables, and seasonings in the Paella are perfect. The Anticuchos De Barrio is a great appetizer choice. Anticuchos De Barrio is a platter consisting of veal heart, shrimp, potatoes, octopus, corn, and cheese cooked with oil, chimichurri, and seasoning. Their Anticuchos De Barrio is very delicious. Jalea Mixta is also a great appetizer choice, it is a fried seafood platter. Their white rice is delicious and seasoned well. Their fried yuca is crispy outside and soft inside, it was also very delicious. I also tried a bite of their Corvina fish and it was very flaky, delicious, and seasoned. Their desserts are pretty good too, we tried the Flan, Passion Fruit Mousse, and Cuatro Leches. Their Flan was good, tasted like most Flan. The Passion Fruit Mousse was sweet and had a fruity flavor similar to mango. We didn't really like the Cuatro Leches, it's a shame because we really love Tres/Cuatro Leches. The Cuatro Leches tasted like candles and it did not have cake in it, it was like a pudding almost. They also give free corn nuts, their corn nuts are seasoned well with salt and are served warm. Aromas Del Peru is also located next to the beach. You can see the beach from inside the restaurant. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant if you want the best Peruvian food in Florida next to the beach. I look forward into trying new dishes here and coming back. read more

From out of town and went to celebrate a birthday, the food was delicious and our service was pretty good. We asked our server at the end of the meal if they do anything for birthdays and our server indicated and said that we could have a free dessert. They proceeded to bring out a tray and showed us the options. When we looked at the receipt again after leaving the restaurant we saw on our tab that we were charged for our birthday dessert. We called the restaurant and after a few minutes of explaining what happened, we were told all they could do is comp us a dessert next time we come in. We will not be returning to the restaurant. I liked she asked if we had any food allergies. We arrived on a busy Saturday evening and the service didn't hinder under pressure. This is a relatively new restaurant (was told it was opened 2 years ago) but this was my first time coming here. I was at the beach playing volleyball and needed something refreshing for lunch. What better food to feel healthy and rejuvenated than a good tropical ceviche with a chicha morada to quench your thirst. It was a saturday afternoon. One really great but less known perk is they have free parking for 2 hours in the building. Once you enter the premises, just follow the sign via the gate all the way to the back side of the restaurant. It isn't quite evident from the outside but it is there. There is no parking ticket but you press the call button and a real human, I know, how unique in these days of AI right ;) ...will answer and open the gate for you. Once you park, you walk to the front of the restaurant again to enter. As soon as you walk, you are welcomed by a friendly manager and this big sign of "Aromas del Peru" on the wall. I really loved the interior. The place is not huge but designed well. It has a huge alcohol rack on the other side of the wall. I was given a small tray of roasted peruvian corn (a staple in all peruvian restaurants in the US) but their unique touch is the green sauce that accompanied it. That is hands down the best spicy sauce I ever had from Peruvian cuisine. I would go again just for this sauce alone. The roasted corn was fresh too. Now, the main dish: Ceviche. I opted for their traditional ceviche(mixto). It came in a really interesting ceramic plate that is well designed for ceviche. That rough looking surface provided an tropical feel. Even the spork (spoon+fork) provided was so appropriate for ceviche. Great job on the design and the presentation overall. Portion was small but it was really tasty. Best Peruvian I've had in years. As someone who has visited the country of Peru, this statement speaks volumes. In search of a Peruvian dinner, I came across Aromas del Peru. An establishment with a few locations across south Florida and to my surprise, exceptional ratings across the board so naturally I was highly anticipating our reservation. I was not disappointed. The moment we entered, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful ambience and seated promptly. The Pompano location offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating suitable for solo diners to large dinner parties. The building is conveniently attached to a garage and located walking distance to the beach. The service was absolutely stellar. You'll be treated like their favorite regular. Their staff had plenty of smiles which I loved. The ceviche sampler was plenty for a party of 4 to share. Each variation was delicious and incredibly fresh. The pisco sour and lomo saltado are an absolute must. The desserts here are another amazing highlight. The menu is wide and diverse. Our bad experience started with our waiter pushing us to order juice for our three year old son - something we didn't ask for and didn't want, but the waiter got our son involved and of course a three year old is going to want juice when offered. The juice arrives in a small Dole bottle, which would have been fine had not the check arrived at the end of our meal showing that we were being charged $7.50 for apple juice. No waiter should aggressively try to get kids to order expensive items just so that their tip will be based off of a larger bill. And if an item is unusually expensive for what it is - in this case a small plastic Dole bottle - the waiter should give customers a heads up ahead of time to make sure they are okay with the price. read more

If you make a left turn (north) on riverside (next street west of ocean) and go straight ... you will see a huge city owned lot on the right-hand side.. way easier than looking for parking on ocean.. and I dont think ppl know it's there because it's not easily visible from the main streets.
