I forgot coleslaw is on the sandwich, but the coleslaw is so good, I didn't mind. If you're in the industrial area, Greg & McCarran it's worth stopping in for lunch, you'll be glad you did!!

I chose a platter with three ribs, hot link, cornbread, and for my sides, I chose their "porky beans", and coleslaw. Everything was amazing The ribs were succulent, and fall off the bone, tender, and the barbecue sauce was rich and tangy. The hot link had a good flavor, and had just enough of a "zip" to it, that got my attention. There was a good amount of pork in the beans, and I'm not sure what was in the sauce, but it was rich and delicious. The coleslaw was nicely, dressed with a little bit of pepper in it. The cornbread had just a little bit of a "sweet" to it, which I really like. It was also very tender. It didn't need any butter, or anything. This amazing meal, they only charged me 20 bucks. Worth every penny! Next time, I want to head into the restaurant to try some more of their offerings. Thanks for a great meal.

I've been here a few times for large dinner parties or even lunch with friends/family and one thing I can say is that the Sparks water bar staff is always incredibly welcoming and kind! The waterfront ambience is always very aesthetically pleasing so we wanted to enjoy it one last time before the warm season ended. We started off lunch today with a crabcake appetizer, I am determined to try all the crabcakes in town, but I will say this one in particular, although the portion is tiny, it is definitely worth every bite. For an entree today, I got the Korean short rib tacos, these included a mango salsa and an Asian inspired aïoli. I wasn't too sure how it was going to feel about this combination but over all it was tasty and the mango salsa complimented the dish well. They definitely were not shy about the portion of meat they added on the small tortillas. If you're looking for a nice place to drop in for a date, celebratory dinner, etc. I would definitely recommend trying out Sparks water bar!

It was an early Thursday evening, plenty of tables open, looked like plenty of staff. So why did it take AN HOUR from start to finish for 2 drinks w NO FOOD?!?! We were sat by a hostess within minutes of arriving. Within about 5 min, we met our server and ordered 2 cocktails, nothing blended or over the top custom, just 2 cucumber mojitos. Those arrived about 10 minutes later, so far, not too bad. Then we sat for about 20 min before we even spotted our guy insode the doning room, but he never came near our section. Another 15 min went by. The 2 tables near us were also ready to pay & we overheard them vocalizing their frustration. We would have ordered another round if we'd had the chance. It took another 15 min just to get our check and pay. He said he was "busy putting out fires". Sir, this was not the Hawk Fire zone, and it wasn't that busy. Servers were all over the rest of the patio getting food, drinks and checks. I was a server for over 10 years, so I notice things. If there's delays, just stop by your section and communicate. No reason to ghost several tables and I'm certain by his uniform that our guy wasn't the manager on duty that evening. At this price point & setting should warrant servers that hustle, that's how better tips are made.

Hubby enjoyed his omelette and loved the home fries. The restaurant was decorated for Halloween and they had some murals on the walls. The tables are pretty close together but still had a waitlist, so it's a popular place.

The fried chicken was easily a 10/10! Perfectly seasoned, crispy skin, and juicy, tender meat. The fried catfish was also amazing. Not overly oily, perfectly cooked, and honestly one of the best things we had. The baked beans were incredible too. So much flavor and nice and saucy. The ribs were a close second. Great flavor and they literally fell off the bone. A few sides missed the mark for me personally. The cornbread was super dry and looked and tasted almost like it had been dipped in the fryer. The rice and gravy was really under-seasoned and didn't have much flavor. And unfortunately, the mac and cheese was pretty underwhelming. It was very watery and lacked any flavor. But the lemon cake?! Moist, delicious, and the serving was HUGE. Definitely save room for dessert! Despite a few misses with the sides, I'd 100% come back for the fried chicken, catfish, ribs, baked beans, and that lemon cake. Great service, a welcoming space, and some seriously good Southern food!

You can wait to be seated or order takeout from the counter. The servers and staff were extremely friendly and treated you like a good friend they have known for years. Of course we started our meal with sweet teas. The tea was perfect and transported you directly to the south with every sip. As an appetizer we had the fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes were lightly battered, seasoned beautifully, and fried to perfection. The sauce that was served with them complemented them perfectly. For our mains, I had the shrimp basket with red beans and rice and my husband had the catfish plate with Mac-n-cheese and collard greens. I also ordered a side piece of fried catfish and a basket of fried okra. The catfish and the shrimp were both coated in the same light batter as the tomatoes. Like the fried green tomatoes, both the catfish on the platter and the shrimp were perfectly seasoned and cooked beautifully. The tartar sauce was rich and rich and creamy with just the right amount of tartness. The Mac-n-cheese was well seasoned and delicious, however the cheese sauce was thicker than what we prefer. The collard greens were perfection! My husband absolutely loves collard greens and is extremely picky on them yet he could not get enough of these! The red beans and rice were delicious. I would say that the balance and ratio was a bit off as the rice disappeared due to the amount of "sauce" from the dish making the bowl more of a soup. M&M seems like they can get pretty busy and can get backed up quickly both out front and in the kitchen. The servers were told at one point to wait to put in orders for a bit (it was about 20 min before they were told they could resume) and my piece of fish and my okra came out after we finished our meal (it was almost like the kitchen forgot about it-even though we asked about it 2 times). The okra was crispy and very lightly battered. We will definitely be returning, but will be making sure to give ourselves more time as this meal took us 2 hours from seating to getting the check.

I liked the avocado spread as opposed to slices so much easier to eat. I would have liked the toast a little more toasted but the bread, avocado, egg and some cholula and it was tasty. I had a bite of hubbys sandwich. His sourdough bread was delicious, so was the ham and the cheese was the perfect melt. Nice place, we were in a side room with only about 5 or 6 tables. We had three other servers stop to ask if we needed anything or wanted to give our order, and once we made up our mind the waiter who helped us did a fantastic job. No pen or notepad, he remembered our order with full detail and not one mess up. As we finished out appetizer, sides, and meal he continued to come by and take our plates, refill our water and my coffee. He was on point. That doesn't change one very important fact: of all the bars I walk into every week, this will always be favorite. It's home. It's one step above dive-y. Two steps down from trendy and in a different ZIP code than hipster. This is a quintessential Nevada bar. There's lots of room to sit at the bar or tables. The bathrooms are always clean. The pool tables are free to use (good luck on a league night, though ). The staff is friendly, happy and always ready to make you feel special. Oh, yeah.. there's food, too. This is where Blitz sets itself apart. We've all had pub grub. Pizza made from recycled banana boxes. Burgers made from recycled tires. Beer made from recycled... Well, you get the idea. Blitz takes pride in their product. The beer is cold and served in clean glasses. The mixed drinks are not watered down or short-poured. Nope. These people are professionals. That is evidenced in every plate which leaves the kitchen. Yeah. Kitchen. Not a microwave and air fryer in the corner. A real, honest to Julia Child kitchen. From there they serve burgers from Blue Ribbon Meats, super fresh salads, mouth-watering pulled pork sandwiches, mountains of real nachos, and...(wait for it)... Tater Tots! Of course they have fries, too, but the extra crispy Tetris-inspired tots are one of my favorites. Definitely try them smothered in chili and cheese. I won't even try to do justice to their breakfast menu. The standard disclaimers apply here. The food is made to order and fresh so don't be surprised when the server isn't slinging it across your table 30 seconds after your order. It's absolutely worth the handful of minutes it takes to make it properly. I'd love to show you pictures of the food, but I'm usually happily chewing the last bite when I remember to take photos. The waitress came over quickly and took our drink orders while we looked over the menu. I ordered the Fire Alarm Burger but with grilled chicken instead and upgraded the fries to onion rings and my friend had the Mushroom & Swiss Burger. He really enjoyed his burger but I'll probably opt for a burger or fish & chips next time. The few minor annoyances I had with my chicken were that the chicken was too thin so it was dry and there was too much sauce on the sandwich which made it really slippery and messy. The onion rings were fantastic. I used a lot of napkins while eating and then had to still wash my hands after. The bathroom was very clean and the service was great. We'll probably be back.
