This was visit number 3, and in hopes that the food would taste better, yuck! Bland and boring at best. The service, atmosphere (except for the grimy tables and barely clean flatware) and quick food delivery was fine. I'm so disappointed as I was very excited when they first opened to have this diner so close to home. Unfortunately, it's turned into a poor experience time after time :-( read more

Seemed to me that this place was over hyped and just OK. Went looking for it when in Reno based on Food Network story. Had burgers and they were just OK. All someone has to do is take chuck and grind it and you have an excellent burger. The burger was like just out of a frozen box. I will say that the sour dough bun from the Truckee bakery was awesome! If i go again I will try breakfast to give them a fair chance. read more

This place was super disappointing, especially with all the good reviews. My husband and I both thought our meals were bland at best. I got a Benedict, my husband got a scramble and pancake. Our waitress checked on us one time the entire hour and we had to ask twice to get our coffee refilled. We love finding fun breakfast places and it looked promising, but this was such a bummer. We won't go back. read more

Great people, cool location and atmosphere but below average food for the price. This wasn't the first time. Had high hopes for the new location, won't be back. read more

This place is amazing! Food an service is definitely worth the wait time. I can not wait to go back to Reno an eat here again. Yummy!

After one visit and a constructively critical review to Squeeze In mgmt, I received an email from their President, Shila. She inextricably cancelled my "egghead" card w/o my permission. How insulting! She refunded the cost of a lousy, overpriced and overcharged meal and said it is..."unlikely we can serve you in a way that give you the value you are seeking." Then she went on to explain that Squeeze In can't compete with IHOP pricing due to IHOP buying in "bulk." Also, that Egghead was established to give the company's "very best customers" discounts (to offset their high prices.) Nothing could be further from the truth, in my opinion. I used a gift certificate of $5 for their "early bird" menu. Waiter returned and said it couldn't be used for early bird. Moreover, only two omelettes are included in early bird. Pres. Sheila characterized early bird as "happy hour, where they want to fill up their restaurant." I was the only patron between 7-8 a.m. and 6 employees standing around doing nothing in particular. The food itself was not good. Mom's omelette was not something I'd expect my own mother to make, and she's deceased! There was no "variety of cheeses," it wasn't even melted, and the whole omelette was filled with greasy, unflavorful bacon. Toast...what toast? One piece initially served, rubbery, overdone, and cold. Potatoes were ok, but salty, which isn't good for your health. The service was ok. I did not order coffee, opting for water. The cost of an omelette here is outrageous...$12.29 and up. Shila represents Squeeze In uses "the freshest ingredients" and that everything is "hand made." Don't most restaurants use fresh ingredients and conjure up meals by hand? Also, they use "Truckee sourdough" bread, which is more expensive, that employees are "paid well and have health benefits" as justification of charging pie in the sky, out of this world, prices on their menu. I dine out for quality/value. Quite frankly, I couldn't care less about financing employees health benefits in the cost of a meal and other perks represented by the owner. If you are rich, maybe you won't care about prices. For those of us who are retired and/or of modest means, I suggest going to Peppermill or better yet, Toucan Charlies buffet at Atlantis. Even with Squeeze In's so called "egghead" discount card, their establishment isn't a good value and one in which this reviewer cannot stomach. Owner/President Shila Morris said my email suggests would be "used as a training tool" for her staff. Is it any wonder why Squeeze In feels compelled to reply to so many negative reviews on Yelp? If they offered a quality product at a fair price, there wouldn't be any need for them to do so. Their slogan is "Best omelettes on the planet." Better to send their omelletes into outer space! read more

I do not write many bad reviews, squeeze in restaurants are not my cup of tea. I think people go for the novelty factor because it has been on tv. This one is most near to my house and I thought I'd write a review on it. It's atmosphere is not for me. Always well staffed but at any location I've never had a good experience with the employees. Not very attentive. Also their business model seems to be to over shoot the market for their prices because people will pay what they charge. And it's working for them. If you want to pay that kind of money for a good breakfast I would suggest the stone house (great atmosphere and food and service) or biscotti's ( great atmosphere, food, and service). They have a menu with a lot of stuff that sounds great, but is not that good on your plate. If you are in the area I would suggest Sierra golds or pegs or kimmies's. It's good it has good reviews but honestly I think they are fooling people with a sub par product for too much. This one may get lost in the shuffle but I hope if you like this place you give the other places I mentioned a try, because to me they are much better. read more

The staff is extremely friendly but not invasive. The food comes out timely. I just have to say that their pancakes taste wonderful

This place is awesome. Free glass of champagne on our anniversary!

Friendly service. The food was bland and the eggs and turkey were not prepared correctly. Inside scenery is fun and the layout is good. Overall, expensive without quality tasting food as far as the scramble and omelette we ordered. The bloody Mary was delicious read more

Squeeze In - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Reno, Nevada

Geez, I hate even saying this because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the atmosphere and the staff are wonderful, but the food is just so so. Portions are big but everything is under-seasoned and lacking flavor. I ordered a Mexican omelet and potatoes. The potatoes were good but the omelet just had no flavor. Sorry! ! People are super nice! ! read more

Great service and delicious food. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is always served hot and tastes great. They offer several unique dishes. And we top off every meal with a "spicy" bloody mary. Comfortable atmosphere & our fav place to have breakfast. read more

Love the service! Menu has so many yummy items that sometimes it's hard to choose. Had lunch this week and had the 1/2 taco salad and could not believe how BIG the half was! It hit the spot! read more

Tried their bobby flay special, without the bacon, got sausage instead and it was really good! The eggs were perfectly cooked, not over cooked and the cheese was a nice addition that melted perfectly. Also came with roasted potatoes and avocado. Menu was huge so lots of things to try! read more

I love Bailey at the front and Conner who got us our drinks. So friendly - they made our day.

After an amazing experience with the manager of the Squeeze In, we decided to venture back and give it a second chance. As before, the service was excellent - super friendly and efficient. It really is a fun, family friendly environment. As recommended, I ordered the Hawaiian something or another. It's an omelette (although I got mine as a scramble) and it's filled with cream cheese, jalapeños, honey, pineapple...it sounds a bit bizarre but was seriously good. I really enjoyed it! My hubby got the hangover helper omelette and he liked his, but the eggs were a bit dry. We both got potatoes and they were crispy good, but very heavily salted. The sourdough bread was again, amazing (and made locally). The kids both got the teddy bear pancakes which were delicious, seriously good pancakes and served SO cute for the kiddies. Overall, this experience was again great and the food was much better. We're not entirely "wowed" by the food but the staff and manager have WOWed us enough to make it a favorite when we're in Reno. read more

Ever time family or friends come to town we have to take them to Squeeze In. Great food, service, and atmosphere. I love showing people what great things Reno is capable of. read more

Greasy food! Long wait. Not worth your time. I have been there twice thinking maybe it was a bad day and give them a second chance. If people think this is a place to go for good food, you need to learn how to cook. read more

I am all for paying extra for a nice meal but this place is way over priced. $15 for a standard breakfast. 7.29 for a kids meal! When the food came, the toast was very good, but the other food was blah and the hash browns were terrible. Save your money and go to Pegs, the food is much better. I left feeling taken advantage of. read more

Great omelettes, excellent for bringing kids (they provide a basket of toys, good kids' menu, loud enough that squirrelly kids aren't a big deal), everything we ordered tasted great, fairly quick service. read more

The service is good (it's been hit or miss with us) and we love the stuff french toast. I still haven't found that special breakfast plate that makes me want more but that means we just have to keep visiting and try out more dishes. A little pricey...but the quality of the food is good and worth it. read more

Best damn breakfast place in Reno. I go there practically every day. All of the waitresses know me by name and treat me like family. That's something I appreciate. I love their omelets. My girlfriend loves their French toast; the portion is so large that she often takes half her order home to eat later. Squeeze In had a 2-for-1 gift card sale a few months ago. I spent $2,000 on them, meaning I had $4,000 worth of Squeeze In meals coming my way. I take pride in purchases that offer excellent value, and I think the purchase of those cards was one of the best I've made in many years. The quality of the ingredients used at Squeeze In, the wide selection of dishes and the friendly atmosphere all help make the restaurant a special place. I think I'm going to head there right now. read more

I've been to both Squeeze In locations. This one is a bit bigger than their other location in north Reno, but it doesn't make the food any different. The waitresses are amazing and willing to do whatever they can to make your experience enjoyable including giving you suggestions based on other preferences that you have. read more

My wife and I have been looking for a place to eat in South Reno where we live so we tried the Squeeze In. The service is outstanding and the food is teriffic. Add to that a wait staff that understands what service is all about and we found our place, the Squeeze In read more

This place was fine and all. The service was great which gained them most of these stars. The food was as expected maybe too much? Wayy too cramped of a location. I don't know why trendy now means small. Food came out pretty quick and the options were great. Still would like a bit more sweeter options. read more

All of the omelettes I have tried here have been very good. Good coffee, and good foods. I will say that you can definitely get one thing split between two people if you aren't hungry. That's what I used to do all the time. The portions are very very generous! Get yourself a bloody Mary, and enjoy some great breakfast foods! read more

I love this place. The portions are huge. The food is consistently good. I love, love, love the staff. Every person there has been friendly, welcoming, and quick to serve. They work together and our coffee cups never go empty and our food comes quickly. Always the place I chose when we plan to go to breakfast. read more

We popped by here for breakfast at the fervent suggestion of my father when our flight home to Houston was cancelled. Daddy was right!!! The omelettes were amazeballs with the sauce suggestions, and the Benedict was delish. Love the decor, and the service staff was awesome. Huge portions, couldn't even touch the toast. Make sure you leave your mark on the walls!! read more

I've been hearing raves about the Squeeze-Ins for years and finally tried one for Breakfast. I don't understand the fuss made about it. Yes, some very pretentious, over-the-top recipes for Omelettes and pancakes, but the quality of the food was only ordinary and the service below par. The Coffee was weak, the English Muffins substandard. Decent home fries, eggs (very small, tho) and sausage but not worth what they ask for them. $2.50 extra to serve 3 oz of real Maple Syrup? Puhlease! I'd rather have Breakfast at Denny's. read more

Portions are large, but food is ok. My biscuit was tough and gravy gluey. My son's French toast was good with an almond flavor. A very large portion. Coffee is really good. read more

Went there with much anticipation, and left a little deflated. Saw the Throwdown episode on Food Network and made it a mission to check it out. Great staff and love the menu--the variety of omelettes and other offerings was awesome. The Racey-Tracey omelette was flavorful, but a little on the dry side. The Queen Victoria (stuffed French toast) seemed like it was trying too hard to be 'over the top'. I did like the fruit topping on the dish--it was fresh (not jarred or canned), and not under- or over-ripe. Nice touch. I will return to try it again. Maybe it was an off-morning. read more

I came here for birthday weekend. We were sat within 10 minutes to a table by a large party with children. The children became very noisy and distracting. I requested to be moved and the server brought the GM Amanda over to help accommodate my request. Amanda was very gracious, accommodating and understanding. We were sat on the opposite side of the room which was much more peaceful. The food was fresh and beverages plenty. Amanda made sure to check in from time to time to make sure we were still enjoying ourselves. I felt very welcome and recommend this location to anyone who wants to feel the same. read more

Awesome food saw you on Hgtv cooking with Bobby and had to try your food. I am from Modesto Ca and worth the trip..

What is there not to like about this place? The food is fresh and tasty and the service is always attentive and friendly. My only complaint would be that there are TOO many choices for omelets and sandwiches. The sandwiches are all triple decked but they will serve it with 2 slices of bread instead if you ask. Hubby's favorite is Andrew's Authentico sandwich WITH jalapeños. My favorite is the Grilled Jumpin' Joanne, a hot pastrami and cheese sandwich. This is their 3rd and biggest location in the Reno-Tahoe area. Also, you get to write on the walls!! read more

I've been several times with my boyfriend's family. We always have a great time and the food is awesome. They have a bucket of toys and crayons for kids so its a great place for the little ones. I always get an omelet and my boyfriend likes to gorge on a huge platter of eggs and bacon. It's a little loud but we never have trouble getting a table. Anytime I am up in Reno I go here for brunch. read more

I have been to the Squeeze In many times as it's not far from home. The service there is amazing! If you are waiting outside someone will bring you coffee, everyone's always super friendly. I think the atmosphere and decor is great. My boyfriend and I always start out with a pitcher of Mimosa's or Hibiscus, they are delicious! I have had the stuffed french toast, best ever! I also really enjoy the Racy Tracey with their delicious tomato basil sauce, which by the way is a genius idea to have sauces served with potatoes and eggs, yummm! I am a member of the Egg Head club, which does have some benefits. The only thing I wish is that for your birthday you actually got a free meal, because not many things on their menu turn out to $10 in the end... And I wouldn't mind a bit more filling in the omelet and less egg with some salt!!! Other than that, this place is great! Try the loaded potatoes too!!! read more

I have since returned to Squeeze In, and was even more impressed than I was last time. On a whim, I tried the Sgt. Sponaugle omelette, which has pastrami, avocado, salsa, sour cream and cheddar cheese in it. This was easily the best omelette I've ever eaten, hands down. It was less busy than the last time we went, and the service was even better. Nothing was missing from the dishes we ordered. read more

Sich a dissappointment: Potatoes overdone, oatmeal bland, $5 fruit cup only had honeydew and cantaloupe, bacon on every table was 1/2 cooked - on top of all that, we were in charge of our own silverware setup. read more

Fantastic. I had the racy tracy. It was not short of leaving me full! The atmosphere seems to want to capture a more younger, off beat crowd, but I saw elder couples and families of all ages. 4 stars because their only open till 2pm which seems to be common even amongst their competitors. It just sucks to have to make Dennys trips after 2pm in this town if you want breakfast. read more

I have been to all of their locations except the northwest reno one. This is my favorite. The original in truckee is too dark. I visit this and the sparks location the most - they are both good.
