Been coming here for 60+ years it's a must stop for the family or even if you're by yourself best fish and chips around the Pacific Northwest never disappointing And an incredible view of Puget sound

I stopped by Spud Fish & Chips on a sunny afternoon at Alki Beach and couldn't have asked for a better setting. I grabbed a seat outside, and the warm ocean breeze. I went to the counter to order and staff was very friendly. I ordered the Halibut fish and chips, and it hit the spot. The halibut was fresh, lightly crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside--no heavy breading or greasy aftertaste. The fries were golden and satisfying. It's a classic seaside meal with a nostalgic, no-frills charm. Perfect for anyone looking to enjoy simple, well-made fish and chips while soaking in the view of the Puget Sound.

Recommend to try this local oldest seafood spot in Seattle and it was delicious! It's a no frills place with seating inside, upstairs and outside. Food was solid! We shared the clam chowder and a fish and chips. Both were yummy. I really liked the crispy-ness of the fish. Service was kind and the lady behind the counter was great with explaining anything we had questions about.

Beautiful spot for fish and chips in West Seattle. It has the taste of a hearty cornmeal batter with a little crunch. There are a variety of different ways to order to get exactly what you want. Fabulous garlic vinegar and delicious tartar sauce.

It was great fish & chips place, the second floor has a nice view of the beach. We have been there several times, it's a sweet spot if you just want some fish&chips!

I tried Spud's in Alki for the first time, and it did not disappoint. The fish and chips were amazing - each piece of fish was huge, incredibly crispy, and tasted so fresh, not frozen. The fries were perfectly crispy with the ideal crunch. I especially loved their tartar sauce, which tasted homemade. Everything was excellent. The clam chowder was on the thicker side, warm, and very flavorful. I'm curious if this location is connected to the ones in Edmonds and Kirkland.

Solid no frills fish & chips spot (plus other types of seafood). Clams & Fries ($8) Chicken Strips & Fries ($11) 2 Pieces of Fish ($15.25) Love how great the portions are and how the price is very reasonable. Everything was golden fried and delicious, carefully wrapped in wax paper. Located on Alki beach. Long-ish line but the line moved quickly.

We soon put our appetizer orders in, as well as our entrees. The calamari tasted fresh and crispy, what's not to like? The oysters I was recommended, tasted sooo fresh! The smoked salmon deviled egg was something I've never thought would work, but it tasted amazing. You can never go wrong with fish and chips, which tasted great! Our server was so sweet and was very attentive throughout the whole night. Dessert time came around and Trey recommended this Washington berry pie, we were sold! It came out deliciously warm with some ice cream on top, which was the cherry on top for our night!! We took my mother - a person who lives with disabilities and requires a mobility scooter. The staff went out of their way to help her feel comfortable and well taken care of. In my book - the staff of Duke's of south Lake Union are a solid 5 stars rating. And, the food is a 3'ish rating. Put together- it's a place that is worth visiting if for nothing else than the amazing staff. Oh, and the view on Lake Union is also really great, especially if you can grab a table near one of the patio heaters.

If not considering the event itself, then this place is just the storefront with their kitchen in the back, and their interior is essentially all the seating inside the Armory itself. They're conveniently sandwiched between The Little Chicken Teriyaki and Big Mike's Sandwich Co., not too far from the doors leading to the restrooms. They serve seafood baskets, fish and chips, poutines and samplers on their menu, and you place your order on a kiosk at the front. Staff were ready to answer questions, and had a lot of good energy when serving orders to me and their other customers. I split with two others in my group the sampler, which consists of two pieces each of fried cod, oyster and shrimp, all on top of a bed of French fries. The tempura batter for all three came apart a little too easily, though it was even more so with the fried cod, as it was hard to use a spoon and fork to scoop up the easily broken pieces. Shrimp and oyster were both really good and not too salty on their own. French fries were also really filling, and were very fresh - they were on the verge of being too salty. Overall portion was relatively big and all three of us got full from splitting this.

You can buy fresh seafood right there while also getting a fresh meal made to order. The clam chowder was one of the better versions I've had in Seattle. It's thick, hearty, and packed with herbs -- more flavorful than most chowders I've tried. A cup was $6.99 and surprisingly filling, with a good balance of clams and potatoes instead of being overly heavy on one or the other. I also got the fried fish sandwich with king salmon for a $2 upcharge, and it was 100% worth it. The salmon had so much flavor, and even though it's fried, the texture stayed light and crispy instead of greasy. Super easy to eat and honestly one of the standout fish sandwiches I've had. Seating is a little limited around the main counter area since most of it is the seafood market/bar setup, but there's additional seating in the back which helps. Definitely one of my new favorite spots to visit when I'm in Seattle, I highly recommend!

When we arrived, just after they opened, we were the third party in the restaurant. The atrium was really cute. It had a glass chandelier, great decor, and a view of Alki Beach. Our waiter brought us some water and we both decided to order the quiche (daily special was spinach, mushroom and goat cheese) along with a cup of clam chowder. Being that the restaurant was kind of empty, it took a while for our food to arrive. Unfortunately, the chowder was tepid at best and quiche was ice cold. I flagged the waiter down and as he took away our plates, he made a comment about the oven not being set correctly, which I thought was a bit odd. To me, it seemed as if our food may have been waiting a while to get picked up. Nevertheless, our food returned shortly thereafter piping hot. The chowder was delicious, definitely one of the tastiest I've had in Seattle. I found the quiche to be lacking in flavor and then noticed that there were no salt or pepper shakers on any of the tables, which I also thought was a bit odd. After we had finished eating, the waiter asked my friend if she wanted a box for her quiche. When he returned with the box, he did not clear our dishes or ask if we were ready for our check. I had to flag him down to ask for it. I noticed they added a $3 service fee to the bill, not quite sure what that was about, as the food was already a bit pricier than other restaurants in the area and there were issues with our food. I guess it's for the beach view? Overall, this was a decent meal, but I just don't get what all the hype is about.
