They're back! Not only did I get a burger that looked great it was delicious as well. Service was friendly, not quick as it is all made to order. Tables inside for eating in or grab it quick to go, they're once again the SODO staple they once were. Bonus - I accidentally left my bag there, called and they held it for me until I could get back over there. Glad to see the By's food quality and customer service of years past return!

Old style diner. I can imagine all the dock workers would come here for coffee and good hot meals. It's been here for 70 years. Quality burger, great fish sandwich, milkshake was on our order. $31. Not cheap but worthy. In the heart of SoDo.

Regular single Hawaiian cheeseburger with yummy fried zucchini.

Places like this that are local are so rare which is why it's important that we continue to support them. Their burgers are good but the patties are very thin so get a double if you like more meat. My favorite thing here is the fried zucchini, just wish it came with ranch that didn't cost .83 cents for a small thing. The teriyaki chicken sandwich is also very good, as are the fish and chips. Prices have gone up but they are still fair for the quality you get.

Fish Sandwich

A little pricey for what it is, but the food (well, what I had) was top quality. $12 is rich for a "fish sandwich" at a fastfood joint, but this one rises to the occasion.

For the past 15 years, in an effort to make 'gourmet' burgers, they've started making GIANT burgers that look great on insta, but you can't actually fit in your mouth (and I have a giant mouth). Well, this joint bucks that trend. Thank goodness.

The greatest fish sandwich since totem house fish and chips. Not greasy and very tasty first here the owners are very friendly and courteous definitely will be returning soon.

My husband is a Navy veteran & we've gone to the VA Medical Center for many years, but only recently found this hidden gem from coming across all this positive feedback. Well, Drew did not disappoint. He & the gentleman with him took my order, which was huge (I wanted to try everything) & I'd remarked to them how impressed I was with what I'd read about their store & about them as people. The food was excellent! Perfect temperature, humungous, crisp catfish, plump gizzards, tasty pizza sticks, & both bbq & bean with cheese chimichangas/burritos. Everything was absolutely delicious. My husband & I live on Whidbey Island, so by the time we get there, which takes 2 hours, we're ready to have a feast when we get back home, which takes another 2 hours. This meal was the perfect ending to our busy day. Thank you, Drew for being such a positive fixture & an inspiration to everyone out there. You make people's day all the brighter after even just a brief encounter with you. You served your customers well for 20 years & it shows. The food alone is well worth the stop. Check it out!! Food is perfect & customer service is delightful. I will definitely recommend & will definitely return. God Bless you, your staff, & your fine establishment sir.

Very lightly seasoned, almost lacking in salt. Needs sauce for flavor. Good texture, needs seasoning. Didn't try the seasoned chicken wings, they looked dry. Tried the regular fried chicken: Nice crispy exterior, moist meat. NO seasoning in the crispy batter, no seasoning in the meat. This would be GREAT, had it been seasoned better. Maybe featuring LOW-sodium cooking?

We shared a 3 piece cod and chips and a large chowder. It's nice they give a senior discount when you are over 60 (yikes!). The service was quick and friendly and we got our food quickly. The fish is cooked up perfectly with a golden crust and was delicious. They serve it with their house tartar sauce and a very small side of coleslaw. The chowder was very hearty and tasty as well. Everything here was good and, even though seating inside is limited, they had a few outdoor tables which helped. We at outside and another group joined us and we made friends with them. Bonus. Give this small business a try next time you're in Rainier Valley. I'll definitely come back again.

There's little amount of indoor dining and two tables to eat outside. We opted for the latter for more space. We ordered the sampler platter and a small (salmon) chowder. Food came out after about 15 minutes. The halibut, cod, clam, and shrimp pieces were good, but the catfish and salmon were on the dryer side. I also wasn't a fan of the crab puppies. The fries were good though. I also wasn't too fond of the salmon chowder. I had high expectations for it but it fell short. A bit too salty and I wish there were bits of salmon or something. It was just straight up liquid. Service was ok. Not sure if I'd return.

I've brought friends visiting from other countries (the Australian was bragging about their oysters) and Taylor's always makes them go "oh". This restaurant is fantastic with fresh oysters and delicious seafood dishes in a relaxed, casual setting. They also have amazing cocktails that they frequently play with. I highly recommend Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar for their oysters. Now, one can get oysters about anywhere in Seattle's seafood scene, but Taylor Shellfish embodies "from tide to table". You aren't going to find single-source many other places. I had a grand time here. We came during lunch when it was very busy, but by the time we left it had mostly emptied. When it is busy it can be quite noisy but I could still hear my friend. Our waiter was fabulous. Gave great recommendations, was enthused and passionate his cheery demeanor was contagious. I'd happily go back.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!
