Me enjoying a Seahawks game after a delicious burger from Smokey's Char Broiled!!
    Lorin S.

I've eaten burgers on that corner for many many years! Like when it was Arctic Circle way back early 1970's the The Dew Drive In and eventually Smokey's!! I stayed away for a spell because the burgers changed and became inconsistent and some burgers were just bad... But I decided to try them out again and WOW! What a terrific experience in delicious! The burgers taste great again!! I've eaten there 3 times in the last week!!! The cheese sticks are amazing the burgers are BURGERLICIOUS!!! Thanks for grabbing me back Smokey's! See you soon! Your BIG FAN, Big Lo! Seattle SuperFan!!

Greasy and expensive. The fish sandwich was heavily breaded and gray in parts. The onion rings was so oily I couldn't taste the onion.

The fish sandwich was heavily breaded and the fish was gray in parts. The onion rings were so greasy I couldn't taste the onion. Service was blah. No personality.

Hamburger with everything. It may not be pretty, but it's GORGEOUS to the taste-buds.

This is the type of tiny local business that I LIVE FOR. Friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. My visit order: - Shrimp & chips. - Hamburger with everything. - Banana shake. Took less than the 10 minute wait, they said, for my order to be ready. The food was HOT and FRESH! The shrimp was SPECTACULAR with cocktail sauce. The burger disappeared. Not sure where it went. It was just TOO DELICIOUS to exist outside my belly for long. The banana shake? THICK and heavenly. Bring a BOBA STRAW. Their straws WILL NOT WORK. Krinkle cut fries were meaty and perfectly salted. I'm not usually a fan of krinkle cut, but they were quite good! I need to re-visit to try their fish & chips, and chicken sandwich!

Pieces of steel wool in my bacon cheeseburger today, 3/15/2024.

I have been a customer for years, and today I picked pieces of steel wool out of my mouth while eating a bacon cheeseburger from Smokey's. That plus the health department rating this place as unclean is a wrap for me. If they decide to clean the place and the health department rates their cleanliness as great, then I will consider returning. Otherwise, there are plenty of other places to eat that take cleanliness seriously.

While the burger wasn't seasoned as well as I'd have liked, the toppings were all plentiful and fresh and the fries were some of the best I've had. The amount of food was not disappointing, either. They had many options including chicken and fish. The burgers are offered in 1/4 or 1/3 pound. For our first time here I decided on the basic cheeseburger. Looked great when we got it. The fries were also very good with some light seasoning. You can order from a kiosk or the counter. The person who took our order was very nice and the food came out quickly. Overall this was a very good experience and we would come back again. Enjoy!

Overall I'm impressed…read more Pros: -Everything we got was great. -The Thicky burger really was thick and very filling. It was priced at $16, which feels steep for a burger with no sides, but after eating it I'm not mad at that price. Meat patty was SO well seasoned. Probably the most seasoned meat patty I've ever had. Honestly I'm not 100% sure what else was in that burger but it was tasty and unique. Don't think I've had a similar burger elsewhere. The "thickles" (pickles) were sweeter than normal but I actually sort of liked that. -Brussel sprouts are as good as other reviewers say. -Jojos were super fluffy and soft on the outside with a crispy exterior -None of the food was overly oily, which surprised me a little. I expected the find a puddle of oil under the sprouts or for the jojos to seep oil in my to-go container but that wasn't the case at all -Service was super nice! Cons: -Only concern about this place is cleanliness/food safety. I'm not saying it's dirty, but it wasn't exactly clean either. I did see grease stains on the window peering into the kitchen, smudges on the fridge, chicken thigh sitting out (possibly about to be used?), cheese wheel out, number buzzer for our order was greasy, etc. Napkins on the outside were stained with oil. Neutral/Notes: -This place is located inside Future Primitive Brewery.

The burger here was tasty and I think it's far better than Little Chicken up the road. That said, the tiny patty is way overpriced. It was $10 for cheeseburger and fries and I could have had the same thing at Dicks for about $7. There also was no water, you had to purchase drink and the prices were high 2.50 for a can, 3.50 for a bottle. Ask me, they should have a combo and a can would have come with what I purchased. The women could not have been nicer, but I'd never come back. I paid $11 for $6 worth of food. Again the burger was tasty, but I need 2 patties for that price.

Their churro ice-cream came with your ice-cream flavor of choice (vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry). The lady at the front drizzled it with some chocolate syrup and whip cream to turn it into a sundae. Although their menu shows 0.50 for condiments, each order came with a side of their house dipping sauce and ranch. We were also given a bag of ketchup, hot sauce, bbq sauce packets at no extra cost. You will need to find street parking but it's not too difficult. The name gives you the clue - it's "classic" in a retro, elevated biker bar way (there is a bar in the front and there was a biker out front as well so I'm sticking with this description). On the walls are "classics" like Harley Davidson and Elvis Presley. Among the other things that we did not know (which was everything) - it's New Orleans Cajun-based food. There are some non-New Orleans Cajun items on the menu - traditional breakfast French Toast and such - however, many of the items, from the omelets to the chicken ARE with a very tasty and not-too-spicy Cajun flavor or sauce. My husband had the omelet that featured andouille sausage and was very glad he did. I tried the Cajun chicken tenders (?) that came LOADED, on top of delicious homestyle biscuits, and next to a pile of cheesy potatoes. Service was perfect. Not sure if I am spelling our server's name correctly, Romie was a delight and offered kindness and patience for us. On to the food! I cannot decide if we should get the jambalaya and split or the new menu item, which is the cilantro shrimp. I am a fan of both. I will definitely have to return to try the jambalaya, but this evening we decided to go with the cilantro shrimp. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The cilantro cream sauce paired greatly with the pasta. The sauce was not over creamy, but it was a little bit on the oily/buttery side and the sauce itself could use a little bit of salt and pepper. The waffle was on of the best we have been able to locate and the bacon, which I forgot to snap a pic of because we gobble it down before I realized. LOL!!! The beignets were cooked very well, I love the puff pastry that they use because it wasn't overly sweet and they weren't too greasy. Am I opinion overall this is a decent affordable restaurant to enjoy a meal with a friend a loved one and even a family member. The restaurant is not on the larger scale, so my recommendations would be no more than 4 to 6 people in your party if you plan to eat here. It's also very chill and the atmosphere was relaxing in case you're looking for a place with a little bit more intimacy. As always safe, hungry and happy out there! Be someone's best day.
