Absolutely delicious. Waitress was amazing. We are moving out of the area but I'd definitely drive back here to have breakfast again!

I ordered a whole chicken and torta. They were both very good. The sides were good as well. Reasonably priced. Good and speedy service. Would recommend if you want something similar to El Pollo Loco.

I thought these tacos would be crispy today since they come as a pair, birria tacos + consome beef broth dip. They were soft, which was disappointing, but they were still good. The flavor was there. The tamarindo was kinda weak. I'd still come back because it's close to home, and birrieria Tijuana is way too busy for me on a Tuesday haha

Our first experience with El Super Apollo was good. We stopped by for breakfast and thought it was pretty good. It was an improvement over the restaurant's previous tenants. We also liked seeing the Mexican influences on breakfast that we mentally saved to our to do list. While we were there that first time, we kept seeing all these amazing looking Mexican dishes come out of the kitchen and it made us want to come back for lunch or dinner. We even spent some time looking at the rest of the menu and thought we had just found on new favorite go-to spot for Mexican. Not to mention, the place was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. We went back a week later to pick up a to-go order of their grilled chicken and a few other dishes and that's when the disappointment started creeping in. Unlike the last time, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Maybe that should have been a sign. Our order only travelled 5 minutes away so that wasn't the reason for the food's lack of warmth. I could feel it when I was handed the order that it wasn't very warm. We ordered a half grilled chicken with sides, nachos with carne asada, chicken taquitos and a few carnitas tacos. Unfortunately most of our food was lukewarm. I was surprised at how quickly our order was given to us since we didn't call it in and now I know why. The more we dig into our dinner, we came to realize most of our food was reheated. The beans with the taquitos had a crust on them from reheating, you know, that crust that forms along the edges of the pot the beans were in. The grilled chicken was practically shoe leather with how dry and overdone it was, it wasn't very warm to begin with. The taquitos themselves were dry and the tortilla it was wrapped in very tough. The nachos were OK but very imbalanced. The carne asada was good but the cheese was not very melted and just too much toppings and not well distributed in the tortillas. While the flavors were all good, it was hard to get over that they reheated our food and it wasn't made to order. We might try them again in the restaurant and earlier in the day to see if this is just how they do things or not but we are not going to do it any time soon. We are bummed because we had high hopes.

My husbands search for a delicious bowl of Menudo has ended, he loved his giant bowl of Menudo this morning at El Super Pollo. I had the tacos de birria de res and Consome, great flavor and portion size. My daughter ordered the Mickey Mouse pancakes which were delicious, eggs and sausage cooked perfectly. I ordered a Michelada and it was huge, tasty and refreshing. Wonderful, attentive staff, can't wait to go back!

Pancakes also came with eggs and three huge pieces of bacon that managed to be both thick and crispy - delicious. Service was super fast and friendly. We will certainly be back!

You will need to find street parking but it's not too difficult. The name gives you the clue - it's "classic" in a retro, elevated biker bar way (there is a bar in the front and there was a biker out front as well so I'm sticking with this description). On the walls are "classics" like Harley Davidson and Elvis Presley. Among the other things that we did not know (which was everything) - it's New Orleans Cajun-based food. There are some non-New Orleans Cajun items on the menu - traditional breakfast French Toast and such - however, many of the items, from the omelets to the chicken ARE with a very tasty and not-too-spicy Cajun flavor or sauce. My husband had the omelet that featured andouille sausage and was very glad he did. I tried the Cajun chicken tenders (?) that came LOADED, on top of delicious homestyle biscuits, and next to a pile of cheesy potatoes. Service was perfect. Very friendly from walking in the door to walking out the door. Very diverse clientele so you can rest assured you will like it here. Not sure if I am spelling our server's name correctly, Romie was a delight and offered kindness and patience for us. On to the food! I cannot decide if we should get the jambalaya and split or the new menu item, which is the cilantro shrimp. I am a fan of both. I will definitely have to return to try the jambalaya, but this evening we decided to go with the cilantro shrimp. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The cilantro cream sauce paired greatly with the pasta. The sauce was not over creamy, but it was a little bit on the oily/buttery side and the sauce itself could use a little bit of salt and pepper. The waffle was on of the best we have been able to locate and the bacon, which I forgot to snap a pic of because we gobble it down before I realized. LOL!!! The beignets were cooked very well, I love the puff pastry that they use because it wasn't overly sweet and they weren't too greasy. Am I opinion overall this is a decent affordable restaurant to enjoy a meal with a friend a loved one and even a family member. The restaurant is not on the larger scale, so my recommendations would be no more than 4 to 6 people in your party if you plan to eat here. It's also very chill and the atmosphere was relaxing in case you're looking for a place with a little bit more intimacy. As always safe, hungry and happy out there! Be someone's best day. See y'all next time for my next review.

I was born and raised in Georgia so maybe that's why the taste is so bland. The meatloaf just tasted burnt and like they dumped half the container of pepper in it. The Mac N cheese was decent. They do give generous portion sizes. My son's shrimp Po boy was decent. The lettuse was not limp or wilted. My daughter's bidcuits and gravy looked flavorful but I've had jar gravy that had more flavor. The biscuits were moist. The hash brown were not crispy at all just soggy. I sent the meatloaf back requesting that it be removed from my bill. I took one small fork full to taste it. My daughters captain platter has a burnt flavor as well according to her. I did not try hers. If you want food that is bursting with flavor like true southern food, go somewhere else. I'll never understand why food is so overpriced here in WA. Perhaps because they know people will still pay for it. SMH. The staff were nice and I appreciated the complementary bunuelos while we waited for our food. They also checked in on us mid meal, that was nice. However the food did not stand out at all. We wanted to like this place, we really did. We were hoping to finally finding a piece of home, sadly we were disappointed. The chilaquiles divorciados everyone raved about were mushy and drenched in chile. The red chile tasted like a canned chile and the green was overbearing and too spicy. The cafe de olla had a strange taste to it, definitely not like the cafes back home. I assume it was either Anise or Cloves. Either way the taste was strong and it instantly lost us then. Lastly their "bottled" Horchata (this bothered me so much. Any true athletic Mexican restaurant should not be bothered with gentrification and "bottling" their drinks. Terrible and a slap in the face!) the cinnamon was again overbearing. Let's just say even my children didn't like it. It's hard to mess up Horchata, in this case the store bought stuff would have tasted better. At $6+ a bottle, HUGE miss for us. I'd have to say the best part was probably their chorizo burritos. The chorizo was interesting looking, I've never seen anything like it. The consistency of the meat resembled carbs asada and threw us for a loop when we saw it. Nevertheless that and their green salsa on the side, were the best part of the experience. We may give this place another try, but it would be for their burritos and salsa only!
