Absolutely delicious. Waitress was amazing. We are moving out of the area but I'd definitely drive back here to have breakfast again!

I ordered a whole chicken and torta. They were both very good. The sides were good as well. Reasonably priced. Good and speedy service. Would recommend if you want something similar to El Pollo Loco.

I thought these tacos would be crispy today since they come as a pair, birria tacos + consome beef broth dip. They were soft, which was disappointing, but they were still good. The flavor was there. The tamarindo was kinda weak. I'd still come back because it's close to home, and birrieria Tijuana is way too busy for me on a Tuesday haha

Our first experience with El Super Apollo was good. We stopped by for breakfast and thought it was pretty good. It was an improvement over the restaurant's previous tenants. We also liked seeing the Mexican influences on breakfast that we mentally saved to our to do list. While we were there that first time, we kept seeing all these amazing looking Mexican dishes come out of the kitchen and it made us want to come back for lunch or dinner. We even spent some time looking at the rest of the menu and thought we had just found on new favorite go-to spot for Mexican. Not to mention, the place was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. We went back a week later to pick up a to-go order of their grilled chicken and a few other dishes and that's when the disappointment started creeping in. Unlike the last time, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Maybe that should have been a sign. Our order only travelled 5 minutes away so that wasn't the reason for the food's lack of warmth. I could feel it when I was handed the order that it wasn't very warm. We ordered a half grilled chicken with sides, nachos with carne asada, chicken taquitos and a few carnitas tacos. Unfortunately most of our food was lukewarm. I was surprised at how quickly our order was given to us since we didn't call it in and now I know why. The more we dig into our dinner, we came to realize most of our food was reheated. The beans with the taquitos had a crust on them from reheating, you know, that crust that forms along the edges of the pot the beans were in. The grilled chicken was practically shoe leather with how dry and overdone it was, it wasn't very warm to begin with. The taquitos themselves were dry and the tortilla it was wrapped in very tough. The nachos were OK but very imbalanced. The carne asada was good but the cheese was not very melted and just too much toppings and not well distributed in the tortillas. While the flavors were all good, it was hard to get over that they reheated our food and it wasn't made to order. We might try them again in the restaurant and earlier in the day to see if this is just how they do things or not but we are not going to do it any time soon. We are bummed because we had high hopes.

My husbands search for a delicious bowl of Menudo has ended, he loved his giant bowl of Menudo this morning at El Super Pollo. I had the tacos de birria de res and Consome, great flavor and portion size. My daughter ordered the Mickey Mouse pancakes which were delicious, eggs and sausage cooked perfectly. I ordered a Michelada and it was huge, tasty and refreshing. Wonderful, attentive staff, can't wait to go back!

I was born and raised in Georgia so maybe that's why the taste is so bland. The meatloaf just tasted burnt and like they dumped half the container of pepper in it. The Mac N cheese was decent. They do give generous portion sizes. My son's shrimp Po boy was decent. The lettuse was not limp or wilted. My daughter's bidcuits and gravy looked flavorful but I've had jar gravy that had more flavor. The biscuits were moist. The hash brown were not crispy at all just soggy. I sent the meatloaf back requesting that it be removed from my bill. I took one small fork full to taste it. My daughters captain platter has a burnt flavor as well according to her. I did not try hers. If you want food that is bursting with flavor like true southern food, go somewhere else. I ordered the Burritos Nortenos with bistec, and it was incredible. I don't see norteno-style burritos on menus very often, but I love what they do with them and it seems very authentic. They're smaller than a standard burrito, making them way less heavy and far less of a giant commitment - almost like a cross between a taco and a burrito, and without filler rice, just a small smear of refried beans, delicious sautéed veggies, and incredible steak. The sliced beef was buttery, juicy, tender, perfectly charred, and packed with flavor. The burrito had a nice little kick to it from the green long peppers, though easy to take some out if you prefer a bit less heat. I really loved it paired with the green chile salsa. On top of that, the free salsa and condiment bar is unreal! They offer hot bar potatoes, roasted jalapeños, and grilled and roasted onions. Plus, they have many different types of salsas, each distinct, incredibly flavorful, and ranging from deep, earthy profiles to fresh, herb-forward blends. Very generous offerings. To top it off, the service was super friendly - they even brought out a complimentary basket of warm, puffy cinnamon-sugar bunuelos! I'm so glad I gave them a try. I will definitely be back to try the other burritos nortenos.

Upon entering we were greeted by a gracious hostess, Sheeta. She was very welcoming, patient and kind while seating us. Jenn and I were seated and placed our beverage orders with Sheeta. I wanted to try their bloody mary; I've never had one...and, after that one, I don't plan on having another ever! It's really not a drink flavor genre I'm partial to. Our waitress Shelly took our order, I can honestly say I've absofreakinlutely had better customer service. Jenn ordered biscuits and gravy and an order of country fried steak and eggs to go. Once she stated her request Shelly asked for her order specifics in a stem quiz like manner. That threw me off so when she turned to me I said "Gimme a minute so I can study for the quiz!" I thought it was funny, so did Jenn...Shelly simply walked away. Eventually she returned and I ordered a sausage breakfast burrito with country style potatoes. My platter wasn't eat-worthy in my most honest, humble opinion and I did try to doctor it up a bit but there's only so much you can do in critical condition. The potatoes were hit and miss...literally; one bite of potato would be just right and the next bite would be luke warm or not fully cooked through. I'm addition I was going to pick between hotcakes and french toast, after choosing between country potatoes or hash browns for my burrito dish she said thanks and swiftly walked away. She remained short with us. I observed Shelly interacting with her other guests and she was very personable, polite and eager to recommend dishes...stark reality: everyone else in the restaurant was white with the acception of another interracial couple and the awesome hostess. I believe they received the same short sited service we got! It was a disgusting exhibit of 2 faces in 1 person. Jenn's biscuits and gravy showed up 1st. She took a bite then asked me to taste it, with a sour look...which made me say 'no thank you' right off the bat! She said the gravy was bland and didn't really taste like gravy...she added salt and pepper, a lot of pepper. Then the country fried steak and eggs arrived and the steak had too much breading with no real flavor or seasoning to the steak, it made the whole entree taste like "mush," she explained. The eggs would've been ok if they hadn't had the gravy on them. While we were attempting to eat either dish at our table my breakfast burrito arrived and...I was abundantly underwhelmed. It was 'cakey' and dry and after mixing the sour cream, salt and pepper into the pico de gallo, the burrito still had no real taste context...not even breakfast, much less a breakfast in Mexico! The next day I tried to doctor up the burrito to no avail...it was no use. I won't be back; Egregious Epic Fail!
