Combo with Garlic Rosemary Fries (side)
Sarah L.

Found this food truck right next to Chuck's Hop Shop in Greenwood, Seattle. They had quick service and dropped the food off right at our table while we were sitting outside! I got the combo because I wanted to try everything, but next time I think I'll just get the Bola Bola because it was so delicious.

We were at Frontier park for the food truck festival and wanted a side of fries with my banh mi and my boyfriends food. The line wasn't extremely long and their rosemary garlic fries were intriguing. I ended up ordering the chicken wings and fries. Price was decent for the amount and the wait time was short. I started to pick on the fries and thought they were good but could use more garlic. I thought it was going to be fresh minced garlic on them but there wasn't. They're still good just not great. The wings were decent sized and the flavor was nice. The barbecue dipping sauce was good but the sweet/spicy Thai sauce is definitely lumpish sauce you can buy in the bottle but watered down. I think it was a good side to our personal meals and I may go back to try their Bola Bolas but you won't see me rushing back anytime soon. The ladies working the truck were very nice and efficient.

Combo plate fresh & tasty

Lunching in Seattle Ok, finally got a chance to visit this good truck while at Occidental Park. It was a good value and the good was tasty. I got the combo plate with rice salad, 2 lumpia and a chicken strip and was full. If you have a chance go taste & see.

My friend and I were intrigued by their bola bola so we decided to get this for lunch one day. I got 3 bola bola with fries while my friend got the combo which includes 1 bola bola, 1 chicken strip, 2 lumpia, and fries. Everything was so lackluster. I only ate 1 of my bola bola, it was just so average and didn't taste that great. Good idea but just no flavor in them. I couldn't taste the chicken in them either. The lumpia was just alright. The chicken was probably the best thing here. The rosemary garlic fries barely had any garlic or rosemary. They gave you quite a lot of fries so their portions are good. The fries had so much potential but if only it was seasoned better. I liked the banana ketchup more than their chick n fix special sauce but it was strange how only 1/3 of it was filled in their container. The whole thing was pretty greasy and everything was heavy so be prepared to go back to work with a food coma since the only thing going for them is their big portions.

Deceptively yummy looking. Doesn't show the puddle of grease lurking just below the first layer of fries...

Wow. Talk about dry, rubbery chicken. Way overcooked. My jaw hurts from having to chew so hard for so long. The breading was not very flavorful, and the two dipping sauces that come with it are only 1/3 of the way full. I was really looking forward to the rosemary garlic fries. I LOVE rosemary. But, yuck. SO greasy. All I could taste was the grease. I didn't even finish half. I've been watching for this truck for a while. Super dissapointed.

I'm not sure why this food truck doesn't have more good reviews here. Went there yesterday and tried almost everything (they were out of their dessert) and loved it all, I wanted to give them 5 stars! Their prices were reasonable, good food served quickly and warm. Their brown rice is nice and savory with some cilantro, tomato and green onions to brighten each bite. Their lumpia was super tasty and crisp, could have had more of those. My favorite were the bolas, chicken and rice deep fried balls. Their are cheesy chicken and rice goodness coated with breadcrumbs and fried. I could eat those all day. Their sauces were also really good, loved their BBQ and house sauce, tangy with a small kick. Only reason I gave them 4 stars was because of the chicken strips. For a place called Chick'n Fix, I was hoping for more crunch and bigger pieces, they were pretty pitiful. Otherwise, will definitely be back.

Apologies in advance to those trying to be good, eating salad. Some days I'm there with you. Today is not one of those days.

I had the hot chicken wings and garlic fries. Both were flavorful and filling. I definitely highly recommend.

If you are not super hungry, the Jr. sando is not a bad option at all and still plenty of food! Service was fast and friendly. Inside was clean. Parking was not too difficult to find a spot for lunch. I would hope that this place is popping before Mariners, Sounders, and Seahawks games, because it is tasty. I like spicy food, and I talked with them about what I normally order elsewhere to adjust my spice tolerance to them. I ended up going up a level in spice compared to what I normally would have thought. The company is based out of Virginia, so do with that information what you will. Overall, it is a good addition to the spicy chicken market in the area. Will go back again and want to try the loaded fries and the loaded mac and cheese, just because it is intriguing. Their sandos, wings, and tenders are all worth trying though! Cheers!

Since it was my first time, I wanted to order something simple, and I tried the 4 piece chicken tender, second hottest level ("hot"). The best thing I can say about the tenders were that they were freshly made and hot, and the hangry dipping sauce was pretty good. But the tenders really lacked much seasoning or spice at all, and the batter was so thin there wasn't much crunch to them either. I wouldn't order these again. Maybe the tenders are just not their specialty, I would certainly try something else if I went back.

My husband is a Navy veteran & we've gone to the VA Medical Center for many years, but only recently found this hidden gem from coming across all this positive feedback. Well, Drew did not disappoint. He & the gentleman with him took my order, which was huge (I wanted to try everything) & I'd remarked to them how impressed I was with what I'd read about their store & about them as people. The food was excellent! Perfect temperature, humungous, crisp catfish, plump gizzards, tasty pizza sticks, & both bbq & bean with cheese chimichangas/burritos. Everything was absolutely delicious. My husband & I live on Whidbey Island, so by the time we get there, which takes 2 hours, we're ready to have a feast when we get back home, which takes another 2 hours. This meal was the perfect ending to our busy day. Thank you, Drew for being such a positive fixture & an inspiration to everyone out there. Honestly perfect. Pork chops were fried not smothered and were also delicious. Nothing was dry and it was all crispy. For sides we ordered Mac and cheese, yams, mash potatoes and rice & beans. Mash potatoes something tasted off about them. They were ok but not my preferred of the sides we got. The other sides were perfect, Mac and cheese is peppery but I liked that. Yams were sweet, nice tender chucks. Rice and beans were flavorful, not mushy. The pecan pie slice was phenomenal. Highly recommend trying this place for soul food.

I tell my non-Asian friends that they should leave an Asian restaurant if you don't see any Asians inside. I am happy to say we were the odd ducks in this place! Love me some legit soul food. The menu is straightforward. We ordered at the counter. The food is brought to our table. The food took quite a while with big crowds coming in after us. I suspect they cook in batches as multiple groups received food at the same time. It was mostly self-service (utensils, water) until the restaurant quieted down, then we saw servers cleaning tables, etc. The Food: Combo Dinner with two sides, $26 - 5 Stars The combo plat offers two meat choices. I chose the wings and catfish. The wings are sizable and plump. Highly recommend. The catfish was a thinner cut and a bit dryer. I liked the very thin breading on the catfish, not greasy, and it tasted good with Tabasco. For sides, both the collard greens and fried okra are excellent. In fact, I say the okra is perfection! The little corn bread is just right for me. I thought the corn bread has good flavor while hubby said it was too dry. Catfish Dinner with two sides, $24 - 3.5 Stars Hubby complained the catfish was too thin. He's not a Tabasco person, so that doesn't help. I gave him two wings to calm him down. Lol. He loved the hush puppies the best. They are huge with a wonderful crisp. I agree with him! He thought the yams are too sweet; they do look sweet in the liquids but isn't that want yams are intended to be? I think he just needs to order differently in the future. Note they have a 3.5% service charge for credit card purchases. See line on the menu photo.
